Chapter 96 Under the Rain Curtain, Inside the Carriage
Allen was also a little confused. He didn't expect that Roltz would just stare at him blankly for a while and then say four sentences.
Did he agree to his suggestion to take Lufi to Roya for "further studies"?
Even though I had prepared a lot of things to say, I didn't get to say them.
But Allen could see the genuine emotions of the old father in Roltz's reddened eyes.
So he only replied with one word.
After all, taking care of Sylphie is something that should be done quite naturally.
There's no need to say so many superficial and pretty words.
However, a small mishap occurred while packing. Just as Allen was helping Sylphie pack her magic books, class notes, diaries, and other things, he heard Sylphie let out a short "Eh!"
She energetically rushed in front of Allen, snatched the diary from his hand, leaving only the other books.
This left the latter somewhat bewildered.
In a daze, Allen was turned around by Hilfi and forced to face the wall with the door in front of him.
Because the Roltz family home is very small, some everyday items are placed in very conspicuous places.
If we ask Allen to help clean up, what kind of talk would that be?
Finally, after hugging her parents, Lufie promised to come home to visit every now and then, and then left.
It's worth mentioning that when Roltz and Norda hugged Hilfi, they also hugged Allen.
Allen blinked, then silently reached out and hugged the two of them.
However, in his arms, Hilfi's body was as stiff as a stick.
It's straight and stiff.
Ruffi refused her parents' offer to take her to Paul's house, and they didn't say anything more, since Paul Greirat's noble name was displayed there, and the carriages had been seen by the whole village that afternoon.
Roya?
That's a good place.
If Lufi could go to a farther and higher place.
Both Roltz and Norda will be pleased.
They felt they couldn't provide Sylphie with a good family background, and even gave her green hair, a symbol of misfortune, and a dark childhood filled with bullying.
Then they shouldn't inflict any more suffering on her.
Suffering should not be glorified.
She deserves a better future.
And so, with Roltz and Norda waving goodbye, Allen and Sylphy left.
-
Only an hour had passed when Allen and Hilfi returned.
Hilfi was standing next to Allen with her head down, carrying a small bag on her back.
Allen reached out and took her hand, unaffected by the surrounding wind and rain.
So the Flowing Technique can be used like this?
Paul, Senis, Rudy, and the others had been eagerly waiting outside the window. When they finally saw the two figures, one big and one small, walking through the rain, they all clenched their fists and cheered.
Then the three of them rushed out the door.
Inside the room, Philip calmly took a sip of water.
This was entirely within his expectations.
Lilia was looking after the child, teasing Aisha with her finger, her lips pursed and her eyes darting left and right, seemingly searching for someone. Aisha didn't seem very happy.
This was also within her expectations.
Was this scene something Paul Senis and the others had anticipated?
Who knows?
They were just happily running outside and shouting.
Was this something that was expected?
Shouldn't I be happy?
When Paul carefully asked Allen how Roltz agreed, he received a somewhat unexpected answer from Allen.
He still showed obvious surprise, and after his expression twitched a few times, the look of astonishment on his face could not be hidden even by the rain.
His entire face was covered in those two words.
"Awesome."
He lured someone's daughter away with just one word.
You're really something.
That guy Roltz is really something.
Both are fine.
In the rain, Hilfi, dressed in a white dress covered in mud and wearing her own thick coat, thanked Senis for helping her carry things with sparkling eyes, but kept swaying her body unnaturally.
This caught Senis's eye.
That was very obvious body language.
As soon as Allen appeared in her field of vision, she subconsciously looked away.
It felt like we were back to how we were when we first met.
In the afternoon, she avoided looking at Allen's smiling face.
And now, he's avoiding eye contact with Allen.
They look the same.
But in reality, it's completely different.
What kind of feeling is this?
Senis smiled and glanced at her side—
Paul continued to wink and make faces at Allen, but Allen looked completely bewildered, as if he had no idea what Paul was up to this time.
"That's wonderful."
-
After everyone had drunk another cup of hot water, Alan and Aisha played together for a while.
The time for parting has finally come.
Philip was accompanied by four carriages on this trip.
The first one. It's Philip's own car, equipped with two beast girls dressed as maids. One has rabbit ears, and the other has wolf ears.
The second one. It's Miss Alice's ride, and it's equipped with a beast girl who has cat ears just like Alice the cat.
The third vehicle. Two servants, and some desserts for the journey.
The fourth one. A beast girl, the carriage was empty, supposedly to carry Allen and the others' luggage.
Each carriage has one driver.
The arrangement was very reasonable.
Allen, Rudy, and Hilfi were put in the third carriage, while the original servants were driven to the fourth carriage to look after the luggage.
Philip suggested assigning the fourth beast girl to Allen and his two companions as servants to attend to them.
He was then rejected by the tough guy from Boreas, who looked at him with regret.
Which cadre couldn't withstand this kind of test?
Are you kidding me?
That's what they said, but an accident still happened when we got on the bus.
Allen walked toward the third carriage, while Hilfi kept her head down, her white hair swaying in front of her face. She didn't even look at where she was going, only at the soles of her feet, following Allen step by step.
The two boarded the carriage one after the other.
Rudy followed behind, but just as he was about to lift his leg, a red figure flashed by and slammed him to the side with a powerful shoulder bump. Before he could get angry, the cat-eared maid appeared beside him.
First, she smiled and patted his head, then gently pushed his back as they boarded the second carriage. She then softly told him that there were desserts on the table in the carriage and that he should not be shy about making them.
Then she carefully closed the door for him.
As the carriage began to rumble away, Rudy waved blankly to them amidst the sounds of Pauline, Senis, and Lilia waving goodbye from outside the window, and Aisha's wailing.
Then he turned to look into the carriage.
No one is empty.
It was only then that he snapped out of his daze.
"??"
Why am I here??
-
In the third carriage, Miss Alice was beaming with pride. Her fiery red eyebrows twitched, her arms were crossed over her chest, and her legs were constantly swinging – all of which showed how pleased she was with herself.
Allen stared at her blankly, speechless.
The cat-eared girl beside him looked directly at Allen with a smile on her face and an elegant demeanor, her tail swaying at her side.
Alice looked at Silphie directly opposite her, scrutinizing the 'teacher' she had personally chosen.
This was the first time she had chosen a teacher based on her own will.
The young lady has a very high opinion of herself.
What is Hilfi doing?
The carriage swayed and rocked.
Two people sit on each side.
Hilfi's legs touched Allen's legs.
She stared at their legs, which were lightly touching, the blush on her face still lingering from "that incident" upstairs.
Memories from distant times kept echoing in her mind.
That's one sentence.
A quote that Allen once said to Rudy, but which was actually directed at his teacher, Loki.
"I am at peace because I am certain that we will meet again in the future."
So, she figured out why Allen was so calm all afternoon.
Why is that?
It was because Allen was certain he would take her to Roya.
So he remained calm.
Is the night rain outside the car window cold?
cold.
Is Allen's knee warm?
warmth.
Is your heart burning hot?
Intensely hot.
It was so hot that Hilfi felt like she was melting.
-
The rain poured down.
Ten kilometers south of the village of Buyena.
Inside the forest, amidst the rain, someone opened their eyes.
"Let's calculate the time."
"I don't quite understand, but it should be arriving soon."
".Allen."
As you can probably tell, I've once again deviated from the script.
So, it's a bit laggy.
This is a continuous plot with conflict, and I feel like it needs to be paused a bit more.
The next chapter will be quite late.
