A certain Hogwarts professor of runes

Chapter 131 Helena's Decision

Chapter 133 Helena's Decision

Felix politely took his leave and departed.

He was unusually distracted during the afternoon class.

"Please turn to page 147. Let's see how ancient shamans viewed the concept of 'existence'."

"Professor? That's what we covered in the last class..." a young wizard raised his hand and said.

Felix looked surprised. He glanced at his textbook. "It was indeed my fault, and I must apologize. This also shows that professors are human too, and they are bound to make mistakes..."

"Alright, let's turn to page 152. Today we're going to talk about ancient magic runes related to 'hope'."

The Weasley twins exchanged a glance, and Fred winked: "It's rare to see Professor Hyp make a mistake in class."

George mouthed: "We witnessed history."

Fred pinched George's thigh to keep himself from making a sound.

After class, the twins surrounded Felix.

After answering a few questions, Fred asked curiously, "Professor, is there anything we can do to help?"

"What?"

"Oh, Professor," George said with a grin, "we think you might be in a little trouble, which we can certainly resolve, but perhaps there's something we can do about it."

Felix smiled. "Mr. Weasley, I don't have anything... um," he looked at the two men thoughtfully, and asked, "Could you get your hands on a magic camera?"

He knew that the young wizards had a small circle of friends, like a flea market, where they kept all sorts of novel and interesting gadgets.

"Professor, will a Muggle camera and developing solution work? The effect will be the same," Fred said.

“That’s right,” George explained, “Crivy, a first-year student, bought the developing solution from us, but he brought his own camera.”

Felix thought for a moment and said, "Okay."

Two days later, he received the camera, film, and developing solution.

He readily paid the remaining balance.

Over the next week, when Felix and Helena talked, they deliberately avoided mentioning the conflict from that night.

Felix recounted interesting things from the outside world, even including the secrets of his travels during that year—

"You were really caught by Aurors in the American magical black market?" she asked in surprise.

"You can't say that. It was just a coincidence that I caught up with their operation. I originally wanted to slip away with the crowd—everyone's face was covered anyway, so I could just Apparate once I got out."

"And then?" she asked with interest.

"Seven Aurors had their eyes on me and were chasing after me..." Felix said regretfully, "I had to take them down."

That was his first real-world application of the instant kill tactic, but in order to enhance his mental processing speed, he took a potion, which caused him a headache for a week.

"pity……"

"What's a pity?" Felix asked.

"Unfortunately, I can't use magic anymore, and I've even lost most of my memories related to casting spells," she said regretfully. "A ghost isn't whole; I only have particularly vivid memories of my death..."

"What about the other memories?"

"It's either vague or lacks resonance, like watching a stranger's experience..." she said.

At that moment, he finally made up his mind.

Felix said, "Helena, there's something I need to tell you."

"What is it?"

Felix hesitated for a moment, then took out his camera. "May I take a picture of you?"

Helena looked at him in surprise, hesitated for a moment with a touch of demureness, and then happily agreed.

Felix took several solo photos of Helena, and then a photo of the two of them together.

"It may take a day or two for the developing solution to work," he said.

Felix felt a surge of emotion as he looked at Helena's smile. She noticed his expression and gradually calmed down. "That's not what you wanted to talk about, is it? This is putting you in a difficult position, Felix?"

Do you know about the Room of Requirement?

"Uh, oh..." She nervously smoothed her hair. "I know, that's the lab my mother built. I used to go there a lot when I was little, but my mother didn't want to be disturbed. However, I always went against her."

"Did you go back after that? I mean..." He paused, "...after you became a ghost."

"No, no," she said dryly.

Felix understood, and perhaps out of guilt or self-punishment, she deliberately avoided the place.

He said softly, "I found something inside left by Ms. Ravenclaw, possibly about you."

"Wh-what did you say!" She flew over quickly, her eyes fixed on him, as if trying to determine if it was a malicious joke.

Felix looked calmly into her eyes, without a hint of joking.

Helena believed it.

She asked anxiously, "What? What did she leave behind?" Her translucent, pearly white body floated in mid-air, her hands trying to grab Felix's shoulders, but they passed right through him.

A bone-chilling cold made Felix shiver involuntarily.

"It's a memory," he said softly.

……

For the next few days, Helena avoided him.

Felix understood perfectly that this feeling of gain and loss was not pleasant. Who could guarantee that Lady Ravenclaw's memories would definitely be left to Helena?

Can memories be awakened by ghosts?

After being awakened, will they retain their rationality?

Even with reason, can one still achieve the desired result?

Although the answer to these questions is most likely "yes," no one can be sure until the truth is revealed.

During this time, Felix obtained seven photographs. Under the influence of the developing agent and his magical adjustments, Helena appeared as a real person, with a beautiful face, a tall figure, and a smile on her lips.

Finally, on a weekend morning, she found Felix.

"Take me there," she said calmly.

"Have you made up your mind?"

She nodded solemnly; whatever the outcome, she would accept it.

Felix and Helena stood quietly in front of the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor.

A large blue door slowly appeared. Helena looked at him, and Felix grabbed the handle and pushed the door open.

Felix stepped into the room again, this time with Helena by his side—or rather, he was the guest.

As Helena stepped into the Room of Requirement, the entire room came alive.

The faint sounds came from all directions, and even without changing their perspective, Felix could feel a tremendous magical power awakening within them.

The furnishings in the room kept disappearing, and the space kept expanding until it became a pure white world with no end in sight.

Heaven and earth seemed to have lost their boundaries, leaving only Felix and Helena.

Not far in front of Helena, magic surged and converged, outlining the figure of a woman.

From illusion to reality, she emerged from nothingness.

After a thousand years, Rowena Ravenclaw opened her eyes.
