Delta: Who are you saying has suffered a loss of strength?

Chapter 155 The Remnant Walks at the Forefront

Shimada slowly turned around and walked towards his teammates, his legs were weak, and his knees trembled and bent with every step.

He walked over to Takahashi and squatted down, glancing at the bandage on his leg. Takahashi groaned.

"Captain..." Takahashi's voice was weak.

"Don't say anything." - Shimada

He looked up at Sato, who was still leaning against the wall with his eyes half-open.

The tactics provided to them by the Samurai Sword Club were all about speed and light equipment.

So the three of them didn't bring much medicine for treatment. Each of them brought a few painkillers and a few bandages when they came in.

There was only one way out. Shimada looked at the headless corpse outside the door.

He slowly stood up and walked to the door.

He stopped by the door. There were ravens and prisoners outside in the corridor. He turned sideways, not daring to stick his body out too much.

He managed to squat down, reached out to touch the headless corpse outside the door, grabbed its trouser leg, and dragged the body inside.

The body was heavy; he tugged at it but couldn't budge it. He took a breath, gritted his teeth, and gave a sudden jerk, finally managing to slide the entire body inside.

The rest of Park Ji-hoon's body, from the neck upwards, was gone. Blood was still gushing out from the cut, and red and white tissue was already visible.

Shimada glanced at it, felt a wave of nausea, and quickly looked away.

He started dismantling the equipment. The Level 5 GN heavy helmet and Park Ji-hoon's head had flown away somewhere, leaving only the Level 5 armor. Fortunately, the heavy bulletproof vest still had more than half of its durability remaining.

Touching the bullets, thankfully, the Hibiscus Club team came fully equipped and had brought all their medicine.

With a surgical kit, medical kit, tourniquet, and painkillers all in place, Shimada took the "possessed" equipment back to his teammates.

Shimada treated his two teammates, who barely regained their mobility. Takahashi leaned against the wall to stand up, feeling completely drained.

Shimada put his arm around Sato's shoulder and helped him up from the ground.

Sato took a few breaths and nodded, indicating that he could walk.

"Captain...did we succeed? What's next?" Takahashi asked.

Shimada sighed, his voice low. "The warden wants us to kill the ravens."

Takahashi froze, his mouth agape, unable to close it for a long time. "Huh? Us? Why isn't he going? Shouldn't he be following our orders?"

Takahashi was in great pain and had begun to become impatient. He didn't suppress his voice anymore, and although his tone was weak, it still echoed clearly in the room.

Hearing Takahashi shout so loudly, Shimada's pupils contracted, and his face filled with panic. He quickly covered Takahashi's mouth with one hand and held his own mouth to his lips in a shushing gesture. "Shh!"

He turned his head slightly and glanced behind him out of the corner of his eye.

The warden turned his back to him, seemingly giving instructions to his personal guards.

Shimada let out a sigh of relief, wiped his face with the back of his hand, and thankfully none of the warden and the others paid any attention to him. Shimada turned his face back, let go of his hand, and lowered his voice even further.

"Don't shout. I don't know why this is happening either." He paused, his mind racing.

"In short, he and Raven are enemies. Let's go first and take the warden out."

"If we encounter ravens, they might start fighting. Then we'll find a place to hide."

Takahashi and Sato exchanged glances, then looked at Shimada.

Shimada's face was covered in sweat, his eyes were bloodshot, his lips were chapped, and his expression was stiff. He nodded, meaning that was the way to go.

Takahashi and Sato nodded in agreement; they had no other choice but to do it this way.

The three of them started moving towards the door, with Shimada leading the way, while Sato and Takahashi supported each other.

The three of them walked shakily to the door. Shimada paused for a moment, then poked half his head out and glanced into the corridor.

Taking a deep breath, the three of them stepped out the door, hugging the wall as they slowly walked forward.

After walking for a while, they came to the stairs they had run up, with streaks of blood still visible on them.

There were still dense footsteps and whistles downstairs; Raven and the others were still there.

Shimada stopped at the bottom of the stairs and listened intently. There were at least five or six people downstairs, maybe more.

He glanced at Sato and Takahashi; both of them looked unwell.

Shimada couldn't help but look back.

The warden had already come out of the room, his white mask reflecting the light of the corridor. He walked over with his hands behind his back, the hem of his black trench coat swaying gently with each step.

The guards followed closely behind the warden in neat formation.

Two shield bearers stood guard in front of the warden, one on each side, shields held high. Three riflemen followed behind, lined up in a row, rifles held neatly at their sides.

The machine gunner brought up the rear, Gatling gun in his hand, each step accompanied by a resounding thud.

The sound of the seven people's footsteps echoed in the corridor in perfect unison.

Shimada felt a sense of relief when he saw them follow him out.

If the warden really made the three of them face the raven alone, he'd rather run away now and find a horned cat; their survival rate might be higher.

The comments kept popping up, so fast that the words were hard to read.

"The warden and his personal guard, their presence is terrifying."

"That shieldman, the one standing to the warden's right, he has such fierce eyes."

"The guy carrying the Gatling gun in the back, look at how he walks, the floor shakes with every step he takes."

"With those seven people standing there, who could possibly beat them?"

"Raven should be able to beat them, right? Those hammer-wielding guys are too strong!"

"Raven can't win. Didn't the warden kill Raven last time?"

"Anyway, they can be resurrected, so it doesn't make a difference. Aren't all bosses like that?"

Suddenly, a bunch of "hahahahaha" comments popped up in the live chat, filling the entire screen.

"Why are the three of them, Shimada and Shimada, walking in front? It's hilarious, hahaha."

"Three low-health enemies, no armor, no medicine, walking ahead of the warden like three mine detectors."

"There are ravens just ahead. Do those three think they can take them down?"

"You have to fight even if you can't win. There are seven men pointing guns at you from behind. Try not to leave."

"Look at how Takahashi walks, he drags his leg, and he's even drawing lines on the ground."

"Sato's face is ashen, how can he possibly fire a gun?"

"Shimada is alright, he has the fewest injuries, but he can't hold on by himself."

"The warden followed behind, neither speaking nor urging, just walking slowly."

"That's the feeling of oppression. His silence is more frightening than his words."

"You see, Shimada has looked back several times. Every time he looks back, his neck is stiff, and he doesn't dare to turn too fast."

"He was afraid that if he turned around, he would see the warden standing right behind him."

"Hahaha, that scene is too beautiful for me to look at."
