Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Chapter 206 The Strange Prince

"Did the Mother Tree send this guy to find me?" Charles stared at the strange creature in front of him, and he could clearly sense that the creature was also on guard.

"Yes, Chief." Bucktooth nodded. Just as he was about to leave the Treant area, he suddenly heard a voice telling him to go back first.

After some twists and turns, he finally met the Naga in front of him.

The other party seemed to be very wary of him at the time, and even deliberately kept a distance. If the mother tree hadn't told Bucktooth that this Naga was not hostile, he might have already ordered the surrounding goblins to prepare for battle.

The Naga only said one thing from beginning to end: "I want to see your leader."

So now, Ciel saw this strange-looking guy by the portal.

It has a fish head with four long, fleshy barbels around its mouth and two fin-like organs at its ears. A long fin runs from the top of its head down to its back through its blue, medium-length hair. Its upper body is covered in scales, and it has two large hands with webbed fingers. Its lower body is completely snake-shaped, but not very long, and it has a short fin on its tail.

"This appearance," Charles looked the man up and down, "is he wearing a dark green leather jacket and carrying a large barrel on his back?"

"Are you their leader?" The Naga in front of him stared at Sharl and asked.

Charles nodded. "Yes, I am."

"My name is Pazari, and I am a prince of the Naga tribe," the Naga introduced himself, but judging from his actions, he still seemed to harbor a slight hostility towards the goblins around him. "The Mother Tree sent me to find you."

"Mother Tree, what did she say to you?" Charles asked.

"The Mother Tree simply said that you would help us," Pazzani replied curtly.

"Help you?" Charles frowned. Why would the mother tree take on work for him without his consent? It was like some fish crawling out of some puddle, claiming to be a prince and asking for his help.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why the Mother Tree would give you this advice." He shrugged and spread his hands, saying, "But you see, I'm just a goblin, and frankly, I'm probably not even half your height, so I don't think I have much ability to help you."

"Yes." Pazzani nodded. "That'll do."

"Anyway, I've already done as the mother tree suggested," he said to himself, but then he immediately realized something and pulled the animal hide out of his leather coat.

"I've done everything, there won't be any more changes, will there?" Pazzani unfolded the animal hide, then let out a resentful sigh. "I knew it, now it's back to 'doing everything I can to persuade them' again."

"What do you mean by 'persuade'?" Charles was completely baffled. He didn't understand what this Naga was talking about at all, and felt that the other party seemed to have no brains.

"My coming-of-age trial." Pazzani put the animal hide away again, somewhat annoyed. "I must follow the instructions on it to complete the trial before I can be considered an adult."

"You are like this..." Charles looked at the Naga in front of him and wanted to say that such a big and burly guy like him was not yet an adult.

"We Naga just live a little longer." Pazzani glanced at the goblin in front of him and immediately understood the meaning in its eyes. "Then, please help my people."

"Um, could you tell me about your situation first?" Charles smirked. (Author "Taking a Bath with Kapibala" recommends reading "The Forest Doesn't Keep Idle Goblins" using the "Renren Bookstore" app. Download and install.) "Even if I want to help, I need to know the situation first."

"Oh," Pazzani nodded quickly, "Now I'll explain to you, we Naga people live in...

"Hmm, where is life?" Charles stared at the guy in front of him, not understanding why he stopped after saying just one sentence.

Pazzani took a pocket watch from his leather jacket pocket, flicked the cover open with his finger, and said, "Five..."

"Five?" Xia Er was taken aback. "Five what? Wudalianchi?"

"Four," Pazzani counted in quick succession, "three, two, one."

Then, in front of the astonished Charles, he put his pocket watch back in his pocket and asked, "It's my break time now. Do you sell food here?"

Charles stood there stunned for several seconds before he reacted, "Weren't you introducing the situation of your Naga race?"

"Yes," Pazzani nodded, "but now it's break time."

"Aren't you a prince of your clan?"

"Yes, but it's break time now."

"Didn't you ask me for help?"

"That's right, but we can stop talking about this for now. Let's rest now, and we won't talk about those things during our rest time."

Ciel was completely shocked. This was the first time he had ever met someone in this other world who didn't take important matters seriously and instead emphasized his own schedule.

The key point is that this guy is actually a prince of his tribe.

Prince, what an inspiring title! Those three princes in Golden Flower City will probably be fighting tooth and nail by next year, but this prince in front of me says it's time to rest.

"Heh," Charles's lips twitched, "Of course we'll provide meals, but how will you pay?"

"These are pearls cultivated by our Naga people," he said, handing over a few pink pearls. "I think this might be enough to pay for our meals."

Charles stared at the two pink pearls in the other's palm. Each one was quite large, about two centimeters in diameter, and had a bright luster. Even in the fortress, under the glow of the blue mushrooms overhead, they were still very beautiful.

"That's enough." He nodded calmly. Back in Torch City, he had seen many people smuggling pearls, including some large ones, but these two in front of him were not only large, but also pink. Paying for a meal with them would definitely not be a problem.

"Perfect timing, we're almost ready to eat," Charles said with a smile. "Your Highness, do you have any preferences regarding where or what you'd like to eat?"

Pazzani pondered for a moment, then said, "Ordinary things will do. I'd like some fish, live fish are fine, but nothing else. We don't need rats, insects, or frogs."

"Oh, fish," Charles nodded, "we have plenty."

He quickly turned to the buck-toothed man and said, "Go tell White Hair to add an extra serving of smoked fish for lunch, and make it right now."

"Weren't we having grotesque fried meat patties for lunch?" the buck-toothed boy asked, bewildered.

Charles noticed the Naga prince beside him frown slightly, and he immediately said, "The guest wants to eat fish."
