"Little Paw, Little Paw." Charles hurried to the alchemy and potion-brewing room inside the fortress, where another guy was waiting for the good news he brought.

However, his shouting only caused the crawling claws to slowly rise out of the "bathtub," without any other movement.

"I have some good news to tell you." Charles grinned, looking at "Director Claw" with a smile.

"What?" The crawling claw, propped up in the vat, slowly raised its middle finger. "You got me a big order?"

"How could that be? Am I that kind of person?" Charles waved his hand with a smile.

But Little Claw remained silent, only his middle finger stubbornly standing upright.

"Uh," looking at the silent, crawling claw, Charles scratched his cheek somewhat awkwardly, "I know there were some problems before, but this time it's definitely good news."

"Um," he thought for a moment, then suddenly asked, "Lura, would you like to see your master?"

"What Rula?" The middle finger of the Crawling Claw drooped, seemingly sinking into disappointment again.

"Your name is Rula, right? Oh, that's your human name, of course." Charles was taken aback; it was indeed that name when Spencer mentioned it before.

"Who told you that? My name is Lule. Don't give people random names." The Claw of the Creeping said with some annoyance, and even Furu, who was acting as a bridge between their minds, could feel his emotions.

"Hmm? But that guy did say your name was..." Charles frowned and glanced at the crawling claw in the jar. He rubbed his cheek and seemed to understand. Perhaps this forgetful lizardman lich had misremembered his groom's name.

Little Paw ignored Ciel and jumped out of the glass jar full of magic potions. It quickly ran to the cauldron, grabbed the stirring stick again, and started circling it.

Now that the Skeleton Warriors aren't helping him, his tasks have returned to normal, or even increased.

"I can't believe you used to be a coachman." Charles tilted his head, watching Little Paw brew medicine with great interest. But thinking about it, it made sense. Before, he was jostled around in a carriage, and now he was going to make medicine by circling around. It was just that he had gone from a "pirate ship" to a "giant pendulum."

With a clatter, the stirring rod tipped over on the edge of the pot, and the wriggling claw leaped directly onto Charles's shoulder. "Who told you I used to be a coachman?"

His tone was anxious, as if he would grab Charles by the collar and ask him again if he didn't speak at the next second.

“Oh, a lich,” Charles glanced at his shoulder and chuckled. “He said his name is Spencer Finescale.”

With a "whoosh," the crawling claw flew out quickly, crashed to the ground with a "thud," and then wiggled its five fingers, running rapidly into the depths of the fortress.

"Wait for me!" Charles quickly caught up with him. "He hasn't arrived at the fortress yet. He's in another place. I'll take you there."

He chased after it quickly, but after ten seconds, Sharl realized that he couldn't catch up with the crawling claws.

These five little fingers moved so fast, like a Corgi running at full speed, that Ciel had to stop, catch his breath a few times, and then pull out a magic scroll called "Grease Your Feet" from behind him.

…………

"That must be your master," Ciel said, pointing to a gaunt figure watching goblins at work in the distance.

Before he could say anything more, the crawling claw on his shoulder jumped to the ground and then scurried toward Spencer. Charles noticed that the little claw was even faster than it had been in the underground fortress.

"Huh? Who?" Sensing movement behind him, Spencer turned around, and then the crawling claws jumped directly onto him.

It crawled all over the lizard man like it was sticking to him. If you ignored his "skinny" body, you could even think of the little paw as a small pet similar to a sugar glider.

"Horse King?" Spencer looked with delight at the crawling claw perched on his shoulder. "It really is you. When the goblins told me about you, I was wondering why you weren't with me."

"Hmm, snuck out to play and couldn't find your way back?" He grinned. "It's okay, we're reunited now."

"Congratulations in advance." Charles waved and greeted them as he walked over. Little Paw was clearly very happy, and he even waved his middle finger in the air.

"Little Claw said thank you, and you kept your promise." Spencer reached out and patted the crawling claw, then turned to look around. "I never imagined the City of All Races would turn out like this."

"Hmm," Sharl walked to the lizardman lich's side and looked into the distance as well. "The old City of Ten Thousand Races must have been even bigger and more beautiful, after all, it was called the City of Ten Thousand Races."

"In terms of biological species, there aren't actually ten thousand," Spencer chuckled. "The reason it's called the City of a Thousand Races is because it's a general term, since each race is further divided into different clans. For example, the kobolds have many clans."

"So that's how it is." Charles raised an eyebrow in surprise. He used to really think that the City of Ten Thousand Races had ten thousand races, which must have made it incredibly prosperous. Now, the various intelligent beings he knew couldn't even come up with ten thousand races. He had previously thought that the "Day of Annihilation" had caused many intelligent races to become extinct.

"However, the City of All Races was indeed very large back then, and there were many residents living here." Spencer looked up at the several large trees beside him, where a few goblins were climbing on them, picking what looked like tender leaves.

"That's a dragon claw tree. My people are gathering leaves," Charles explained with a smile. He was preparing "Dragon's Breath" snuff, waiting for Little John to send back a message from Savoy so he could do business with vampires and werewolves through the runeword portal.

"Back then, the City of All Races was also filled with all kinds of big trees," Spencer paused for a few seconds, as if recalling his past travels, "It was more like a city hidden in a forest."

"I also plan to build it this way. I won't remove all these big trees. This way, the city will be built in the forest, preserving the shade and some vegetation on the ground." Charles nodded. He never intended to cut down all the trees in the first place. Instead, he wanted to follow the example of his previous life and ensure the city's greenery, allowing the forest city to be hidden in the woods.

"If you want to build a city of all races, you still have a lot to do." Spencer stretched out his finger, circled it in the air a few times, and murmured to himself.

Then, a few seconds later, a mound of earth as thick as a water bucket rose directly from the ground next to him and Charles.

"Is this Evocation magic?" Charles looked at the mound in front of him and grinned. He suddenly realized that the person in front of him was, after all, a high-level archmage. If he could stay and help him build the city, it would be like hiring a master architect.

"It's just a simple energy-conversion spell," Spencer said nonchalantly. "I know what you're thinking, but this kind of spell isn't enough for habitation."

As he spoke, he raised his palm directly towards the mound, and with a "whoosh," a burst of blue light flashed, and several orbs of light struck the mound, blasting it into a cloud of dust.

"You see, these shaping spells don't create much structure; they'll still collapse over time."

As Sharl listened to the lizardman lich's explanation, he tilted his head and said, "It does seem like there are some problems, but..."

He turned to look at Spencer. "Building a house doesn't have to be done so hastily. I think magic can probably serve other purposes as well."

As he spoke, he looked into the distance, where the elephant herd was lifting several logs with their trunks. The goblins were using them to build a basic framework from the sturdy logs, and then all they had to do was create the walls on the framework with black clay.

Spencer's gaze followed to the distant elephant herd; he simply smiled and did not reply.

It was clear that the goblin wanted to keep him, but the lizardman lich didn't say anything explicitly, instead smiling as he walked into the city.

Charles followed behind the other person. He understood that the other person had not explicitly refused, but had not directly agreed either, perhaps because of his care for Little Paw.

But he really wanted to keep this great mage.

Earlier at Elephant Tomb, the lich performed a divination for him, concluding that there would be two ominous signs in the future.

One of them, Ciel thought, was Quetzalcoatl, who had escaped. That guy's vengeful and ruthless nature meant he wouldn't let him off easily, but he had been seriously injured before, and it was unknown when he would return.

If Quetzalcoatl and Zunesha can be dealt with, then the other ominous sign is unknown.

An ominous sign comparable to that of the feathered serpent god must be very dangerous.

This potential danger gave Charles a headache. Although he had heard back in Torch City that arcane mages had a certain success rate when they performed divination, as a great mage who could summon bone dragons, even if his arcane skills were not very strong, his divination results should be more or less accurate.

He even wanted to have Mary buy a slightly better crystal ball right now so that the lich could do another divination for him.

Thinking of this, Charles frowned, then waved to the side, and soon Nine Fingers, who was helping with the construction, was called to his side.

"Go to my stone house right now and get me a piece of equipment." Charles grabbed Nine Fingers, whispered a few instructions, and then patted his subordinate on the shoulder, telling him to hurry up.

Then he quickly caught up with Spencer, who was gazing at several square pyramids in the distance, a look of longing in his eyes.

"These pyramids are among the best-preserved buildings in the City of All Races," Charles said calmly from the side.

His words made the lizardman lich nod, "I didn't expect them to have survived. These square pyramids were used to worship the gods in the past."

"Are all five of them?" Charles raised an eyebrow. Now, all that could be said was that there were four and a half pyramids left. The largest one was only half left and was in ruins.

"Yes," Spencer thought for a moment, "At first, they worshipped the four gods and the creator god, but later, for some reason, they stopped worshipping the creator god and only worshipped the four gods."

"But now it seems," he gazed into the distance, looking at the old buildings, "that there hasn't been a sacrifice for thousands of years."

"Perhaps these square pyramids will become useless after the 'Day of Annihilation'," Charles suggested.

"Hmm, you make a good point." The lizardman lich nodded. "So, what do you plan to do with these stone towers? Will you use them for sacrifices?"

“No,” Charles stepped forward, spreading his arms wide, “I intend to dismantle them.”

"dismantle?"

"Yes, it's not easy to get stone in the forest. It would take a lot of time to get it all from outside. The building materials of these stone towers are quite good. I want to dismantle them and use the stone to build a new city."

After saying that, he turned to look at Spencer. "Making the most of everything, these stone towers were built to protect the residents here. Now it's just a different form of protection."

"You," Spencer chuckled and shook his head, "I have to admit, sometimes you really miss those guys."

"Who does he look like?" Charles blinked and asked curiously.

"The officials of the Holy Kingdom, and those residents," the lizardman lich sighed, "are just as daring and decisive, just as confident."

"Is that so?" Charles shrugged noncommittally, but out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Nine Fingers jumping off the worker ant's back.

"Wait a moment." With that, he walked over to his subordinate and took the things from his hands.

"Here, take this." Charles handed a black garment to Spencer, piquing the latter's curiosity.

"This is... a robe?" Spencer reached out and pulled up the robe, examining the patterns on it. "It looks like the skin of a Shadow Demon. Robes like this are quite rare."

"Well, I got it from a 'kind' mind flayer," Charles said casually, waving his hand.

"Mind Flayer?" Spencer unfolded his robes, and the high collar made him smile. "It's definitely the kind of style a Mind Flayer likes. You actually managed to defeat a Mind Flayer."

"It's nothing, he was already very weak at the time."

"Even if you're weak, you're still not someone a goblin can defeat." Spencer looked down at Charles in front of him, somewhat surprised that the other could defeat the Mind Flayer.

"I..." Charles hesitated for a moment, scratched his cheek, and said in a natural tone, "I just gave the mainframe a few extra instructions."

"The main brain chamber?" Spencer grinned silently. He quickly understood what Charles was talking about. Based on his conversations with Charles over this period, this goblin must have used the main brain to threaten and restrain the mind flayers. You see, every mind flayer has to ensure the survival of the main brain, and would rather die than let the main brain be injured.

The other party's act of sending clothes, seemingly a casual gesture of goodwill, actually demonstrates their financial strength and seems to emphasize that there is nothing wrong with "investing" in him.

Spencer calmly put on the robe. Although the mind flayer was not short, the lizardman was about the same height.

He deliberately pressed down the stand-up collar, muttering to himself, "The Mind Flayer's aesthetic sense is truly incomprehensible."

Seeing that the lizardman lich did not refuse his kindness, Charles pursed his lips, wanting to persuade the other party to stay again, but the mage in front of him still showed no sign of letting go.

"What's going on over there?" Spencer pointed to the distance where a large shed had been set up, and a group of goblins were sitting inside, listening to a gray-skinned goblin in front of them talking.

"Oh, that's a temporary classroom for my people. They're learning Common Tongue," Charles said casually. "Once they have a basic understanding, I'd like to see if we can introduce them to some magic and maybe even start a magic academy or something."

"A magic academy?" Spencer turned his head, his eyes fixed on the goblin in front of him, a gaze that made Charles feel a little embarrassed.

"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"It's not a big problem," Spencer chuckled a few times, "just some minor things that could cost you your life."
