Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Chapter 85 Big Potion Order [Seeking First Subscription]

"500 bottles?" Mary's pupils contracted, and she immediately nodded and said, "Yes, you can leave your address, and our workshop can deliver them to you."

"No, I can ask a friend to take it back," the monk said with a smile, refusing.

"Hello, delivery is free, but I suggest we deliver it ourselves, since these glass products aren't cheap," Mary suggested.

The mage thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright, please deliver it to the Moonlit Inn in the West District. The recipient is the Storm Brotherhood, Qigo."

Mary took out a shopping list, filled in all the details, and finally pushed it towards the monk, saying, "Please sign it."

The monk picked up the shopping list, carefully examined all the items on it, and finally signed his name in the lower right corner. "Your shop is very professional, even more professional than the alchemy workshop in Black Lion City."

"What other potions do you need?" After the sorcerer finished signing, Mary slowly put away the shopping list.

"Are you a member of the Brotherhood of Storms?" Emlyn asked, his voice tinged with excitement.

"Uh, yes, that's me." The mage turned to look at the elven ranger beside him, but quickly regained his smile. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm an adventurer, and I just signed up for the selection," Emlyn said, patting his chest as he stepped forward to introduce himself.

"I can tell you're a wandering knight." The mage nodded. "The selection process will take a few more days; you can take a good rest during this time."

"I heard that the selection is for teams, but I'm all alone." The elf Emlyn lowered his head slightly, looking a little dejected.

The monk smiled, then turned and glanced at the various potions on the shelf. "Boss, do you sell these potions in sets?"

Mary smiled and said, "Yes, what kind of combat suit would you like?"

"I think if we're going to use a set, we should mix them up. That way, we can figure out which potion is more suitable during battle, right?" The mage smiled mysteriously.

"You make a very good point." Mary blinked and immediately understood what the other person meant.

"I understand." Emlyn immediately understood the implication. It turned out that the selection process would shuffle the participants and randomly form teams, which would indeed better reveal an individual's combat skills.

"Random teaming, great! I originally thought I'd have to kill a lot of goblins in the forest before I could join." Emlin breathed a sigh of relief.

"How can such foolish creatures as goblins be used as a standard for evaluation?" the mage chuckled, reminding the elf. Then he asked, "Do you have a lot of 'refreshing potions'?"

"How much do you need?" Mary took a bottle of energizing potion from the shelf and handed it to the mage.

"200 bottles," the monk said calmly.

"Yes, but the buy 10 get 1 free offer doesn't apply to this one."

The mage examined the potion and said, "Your potion looks to be of good quality, without a single impurity. It must have been made by a seasoned alchemist. I'll take it."

"You're right, he is indeed a seasoned alchemist." Mary smiled and handed him the form to sign. After he left a deposit of 80 gold coins, he prepared to leave.

"Good luck," the mage said to Emlyn. After taking a few steps, he casually asked, "If I may ask, did you encounter any goblins while you were chasing them in the forest?"

"Uh, I've never seen it before," Emlyn tilted his head and thought for a moment before answering seriously.

"Okay, thank you." The monk said and then pushed open the door and left.

"Do you still need your potion?" Mary asked with a smile, pointing to the speed-up potion on the counter.

"Yes, of course!" Emlyn said immediately. "Give me one, no, two speed potions."

He readily pulled out his money pouch. "Thank you so much, boss."

"It's nothing," Mary said, gathering the coins from the counter. Then, she casually asked, "Why does everyone want to join the fraternity?"

"They're strong. All the official members are Iron-level adventurers, and the guild leader and the most powerful mage are only Bronze-level. If you can successfully join, reaching Iron-level won't be a problem. Moreover, following them will allow you to explore the ruins deep in the forest and gain even greater benefits."

"That does sound really good," Mary said with a smile and a nod.

After the money and goods were exchanged, and the elven ranger left, she took a notebook from the counter and solemnly wrote down:

The Storm Brotherhood purchased 500 bottles of healing potions and 200 bottles of sedative potions. The buyer specifically inquired about the whereabouts of the sprites, suggesting they might stay in the forest for an extended period.

Then, Mary stroked her braids and thought for a moment, then wrote on the next line: "Maybe I'm looking for something."

"Ding-a-ling," the brass bell hanging behind the door rang, and another customer pushed the door open and entered. Mary closed her notebook and politely asked, "What would you like to order?"

"Chigo, what did you buy this time?" Martel asked, wiping his longsword as he looked up.

"Potion." The mage Qige put down the book in his hand and sat down next to him.

"Potion? Aren't we got enough?"

"That's enough, but there's a counterfeit alchemy workshop that's having a buy-10-get-1-free promotion," Qi Ge said with a smile.

"Buy them all!" Martel said with a laugh. "Buy as many as you can!"

Qige stretched out a hand, spreading his five fingers, "500 bottles."

"That should last for a while. Is this alchemy workshop crazy? They're putting healing potions on sale. I've never heard of that in Black Lion City before." Martel picked up the longsword and examined the blade closely.

"Maybe they're worried that adventurers won't want to drink potions when they're chasing goblins," Qigo said.

------

"I remember when we first became adventurers, we were also reluctant to take medicine." Martel touched the thin scar on his cheek. "Back then, we would even dream about hunting goblins when we fell asleep."

"Now I'm not even alarmed by the number 500 bottles," he said, sheathing his longsword. "This alchemy workshop is incredibly powerful. It's practically the same as the Earl's manor's stock. Could it be that they've diluted it?"

"I checked it myself, the color concentration is fine, there's no residue, and I even bought 200 bottles of energizing potion." Qige leaned back in his chair and picked up the book he had just read.

"You have such a good memory; I'd completely forgotten about the energizing potion. With this, we can stay in the forest for four and a half days, which should be enough time." Martel walked to the table and poured himself a drink. "Where are Jacques and Ricardo?"

"One's probably playing with his son on the roof, while the other's probably being teased by a beautiful woman in the red-light district," Qi Ge said, looking at his book without even looking up.

"I'll go call them back; we need to have a meeting." Martel straightened his clothes. "We need to discuss the goblin fortress."

He pushed open the door and went out.

Qi Ge didn't look up, keeping his head down and looking at the book in his hands, as if he had already figured it out.
