One Piece: Starting with Breathing Techniques

Chapter 9 Encirclement and Kill

Everyone watched as Frostwyn walked out of the conference room, and their interest was piqued.

"I wonder how long that intruder can hold out? I bet it won't last more than three minutes!"

"Frostwitch is notoriously cruel; he'll probably torture that intruder to death slowly, right? I bet five minutes!"

There were five captains present: besides Frostwyn, who had just gone out to deal with the intruders, there were three men and one woman.

Aside from Garou of the Black Wolf Pirates and Frostwitch of the Sword Pirates, the other three on the field are also great pirates with bounties of twenty to thirty million.

One of them was bald with crisscrossing scars on his face, while the other was covered in bandages and seemed to be a superhuman as well.

The only female pirate has a seductive face and is dressed provocatively, with large swathes of her fair skin barely concealed by a few pieces of fabric. Her name is Horney, the captain of the Fragrant Breeze Pirates, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user with a bounty of 21 million.

Seeing Frostwitch leave, Chigo felt relieved and put the matter of the intruders out of his mind. Looking at the pirate captains present, a smile appeared on his lips.

These powerful pirates were all part of the network he had built up over this period. They secretly helped him find many slaves, bringing him countless profits.

It will likely generate more revenue for his chamber of commerce in the future!

A moment later, the group heard a deafening roar coming from outside.

Upon hearing this, Garou looked surprised and exchanged glances with the other three pirates:

"If I remember correctly, that sound... isn't that Frost's strongest attack?"

"Yes, I remember that too."

The bald man responded in kind, clearly also understanding the meaning behind the voice—

"How could that intruder, whoever he came from, fight Frostnova to this extent?"

The group became interested and immediately prepared to go outside.

They were curious about what kind of invaders could fight to this extent against Fawcham, who was also a great pirate in the West Blue.

Suddenly, a loud roar came.

boom!

The conference hall door, which Vorshavin had just casually closed, was suddenly slammed open, and a figure crashed into the door like a meteorite, embedding himself deeply in the conference hall wall.

Isn't that Vorshavin, who just went out to resolve some trouble?!

Clang.

The last sword in Frost's hand fell to the ground. His previous relaxed confidence was gone. His eyes rolled back, and blood kept gushing from his mouth.

His signature top hat was gone, and his chest and body were covered with messy, deep knife wounds.

With a sudden jerk of his head, Fawcham's fate became unclear, and he fainted on the spot, no longer capable of fighting.

Everyone, including Qige, stared at the scene with their mouths agape, unable to believe what they were seeing.

Frostfogel, the captain of the Sword Pirates with a bounty of 26 million, has been knocked unconscious?!

The four remaining captains, their faces grim, suddenly rushed out of the conference hall.

Upon arriving at the brightly lit hall, they saw that everything around them was in disarray, as if struck by a raging storm. The iron cages that had once held the slaves they had painstakingly collected were now empty; the slaves inside had vanished without a trace.

Upon seeing this, Qige's expression turned extremely ugly, and she became completely gloomy.

He painstakingly collected slaves, intending to sell them to the slaves of Sabaody Archipelago, and then they just vanished like that?!

A figure appeared before them; this must be the culprit who defeated Frostwyn.

Contrary to the formidable enemy they had imagined, the figure wielding the knife turned out to be a boy who looked only eleven or twelve years old.

Kiro, who had followed Garou here, frowned and examined the longsword he had seized from the navy on Ohara Island.

The blade on it was already cracked, and the weapon that had been with him for some time was now unusable.

He discarded the longsword and picked up the one that Vorshavn had knocked down.

Looking at the four astonished captains, whose familiar faces matched the wanted posters one by one, Kilo's face showed a hint of surprise.

"Oh? You're all wanted pirates, aren't you?"

Upon discovering that the formidable enemy he had imagined was just a young boy, the scarred bald man immediately relaxed and laughed loudly.

"Hahaha, kid, you know we're all great pirates, why aren't you running away?"

Garrosh also looked disdainful and grinned, "I knew Frost was a fraud, he can't even beat a little kid."

Behind the four, Qige looked at the missing slaves, his heart bleeding, and he let out a low shout.

"Gentlemen, kill this reckless little thief!"

"I'll give each of you an extra two million Berries!"

The group, naturally, wouldn't let such a tempting offer slip by, and immediately agreed, their expressions nonchalant, clearly no longer taking Kiro seriously.

However, given Frost's crushing defeat, they chose to show some respect and surrounded Kilo, clearly intending for all four of them to attack simultaneously and kill the intruder.

Four pairs of eyes were fixed on Kiro's every move. No matter how they thought about it, they couldn't understand how Kiro dared to break into this stronghold alone.

Qige looked at Kiro, who was trapped in the encirclement, and shook his head.

It just so happens that he gathered five pirate captains today, otherwise Kiro might have actually escaped.

However, Kiro, who was surrounded by the four men, did not show the panic they had expected.

Instead, he casually twirled his new sword and glanced at the four pirate captains.

"Is everything ready?"

The four of them were taken aback, somewhat puzzled.

Even though it was the four of them who were besieging and killing this arrogant brat, the other party still looked calm and confident.

Are you crazy?!

"Don't think that just because you defeated that slacker Vorshaven, you can be compared to us. You should worry about yourself!" Scarface and the others laughed.

Kiro remained calm and composed, observing the four people and Qige.

"So, you mean there are only a few of you left here?"

The breathing technique was activated in his mouth, and invisible gusts of wind swirled around Kilo.

As experienced and seasoned pirates, the four realized that Kiro was about to make a move, and without prior arrangement, they all attacked together.

"Die!!" The wolf directly in front of Kilo had transformed into a giant black wolf, its hind legs crushing the stone slabs beneath its feet. It pounced like a wild beast, its sharp claws, gleaming with a chilling light, leaving afterimages as it reached for Kilo.

At the same time, the scarred bald man on Kilo's side transformed into a blur, a menacing spiked club appearing in his hand without his knowledge. He swung it with tremendous force, creating a powerful gust of wind, towards Kilo as well.

The bandaged man, who appeared behind Kiro at some unknown time, transformed his bandages into countless gray-white arrows, rushing forward like a gray torrent, piercing out like countless steel needles, blocking any angle Kiro could possibly dodge.

Finally, Horney waved her hand, sending a pink, fragrant breeze over Kiro, leaving behind a bewitching and strange color.

At this point, although the four had not communicated, they had instantly blocked all possible routes for Kilo.

Feeling the fierce attacks coming from all sides, Kiro thought to himself.

As expected of the great pirates who almost dominate the West Sea, any one of these attacks would be more than the small fry that Kiro had encountered before.

If Kiro hadn't deduced the Breath of the Gale, he probably wouldn't have been able to withstand the current siege.

However, for him now...

Kiro raised the longsword in his hand. This longsword from Vorshavin was of superior quality and much better than the previous one.

Faced with the fierce attack, he struck his familiar starting pose.

【Breath of the Gale - Form 5 - Cold Autumn Mountain Wind】

The Breath of the Wind technique focuses on defense, creating a wind wall to block enemy attacks.

A towering wall of wind, composed of bluish-green gales, rose out of thin air, enveloping Kiro's figure within it.

The attacks from the group struck the wind wall, creating ripples, before landing in the center after losing most of their power.

But Kiro has already disappeared without a trace.

A strong wind suddenly swept across the field, and they couldn't help but squint as their vision was blocked.

Dust swirled in front of them, visibility was extremely low, and they lost sight of each other.

Realizing something, the scarred bald man's expression changed drastically. He reacted instantly and shouted, "Be careful! Don't let him split you up and pick you off one by one!"

The group realized Kiro's plan and moved toward the bald man following the sound. But when they had all gathered, they found that there were only Garen, the bald man, and Horney.

The bandaged man has disappeared!

The three looked grim as they watched the howling wind around them.

Only the faint sound of sharp metal clashing could be heard coming from behind the wind curtain.

As the gale gradually subsided, they were able to see their surroundings clearly again.

puff!

Kiro's figure appeared, his long sword dripping blood.

Behind him, the headless corpse wrapped in bandages collapsed with a thud, the bandages that had been as hard as steel snapping in two and falling to the ground.

[Slayed a pirate with a bounty of 20 million, +8 points]

The tip of the Kiro sword pointed diagonally at the ground as he looked at the remaining three people who were stunned and shocked, his excitement evident in his expression.

"Did you hear that?"

"How melodious is the howling of the wind!"
