The First Emperor gazed at Luo Fei, his deep eyes as calm as an ancient well, remaining silent for a long time.

On that young face, there was no surprise, panic, or astonishment, only calmness, as if he had long anticipated this moment.

His lips moved slightly, and a voice escaped from his throat, tinged with a sigh: "I knew you would eventually return. I just didn't expect that day to come so soon."

He stood with his hands behind his back, fingers interlaced, his posture upright, head held high, chin slightly raised, exuding the air of an emperor looking down upon the world.

As soon as he finished speaking, his gaze shifted from Luo Fei's face to the distant city walls of Xianyang, landing on the weathered gray bricks, the layers of black tiles, and the wisps of white smoke rising from the city.

Luo Fei remained silent, standing still in place.

He understood that the First Emperor did not need his comfort, his explanation, or any promises from him.

This emperor, a great ruler who unified six kingdoms, had a heart that could encompass the mountains and rivers of the entire world, and naturally, he could also accept the departure of a person.

Any superfluous words seem pale and powerless before this emperor.

The First Emperor spoke again, his tone tinged with expectation: "Will you come back?"

Luo Fei only said one word: "Yes."

The First Emperor's lips curled up slightly, revealing a rare smile.

With fingers relaxed and hanging naturally at both sides of the body, the tense body also relaxed a little.

"When will you be back?"

He immediately pressed for more information.

Luo Fei replied, "I'm not sure. Maybe soon; maybe it will be a long time, long enough for my hair to turn gray and the world to change. But I will definitely come back to see the future of the Great Qin."

The First Emperor nodded and did not ask any further questions.

He turned around and walked towards the main hall, his steps neither hurried nor slow, each step steady and powerful.

Luo Fei followed behind him, and the two walked through the carved and painted corridors, down the white marble steps, and through the heavily guarded palace gates.

Guards stood watch on both sides, their armor gleaming coldly in the sunlight.

Upon seeing the First Emperor approaching, they all stood at attention and bowed their heads, not daring to utter a sound. Only after the First Emperor had passed did they slowly raise their heads, their eyes filled with awe.

Their gazes lingered briefly on Luo Fei, filled with curiosity and inquiry, before quickly shifting away.

The doors of the main hall were open, and sunlight streamed in through the tall doors.

Fusu stood beside the table, holding a scroll of bamboo slips in his hand, engrossed in reading it, his brows slightly furrowed, as if he were pondering something.

He heard footsteps, looked up, and saw the First Emperor and Luo Fei. He put down the bamboo slips, quickly walked to the First Emperor, bowed and clasped his hands in greeting, and said respectfully, "Father, Teacher."

The First Emperor glanced at him, his eyes filled with a complex emotion, then walked behind the desk and sat down, his fingers lightly tapping the surface of the desk.

"The Imperial Advisor is leaving."

The First Emperor said calmly.

Fusu's body stiffened slightly, and the color drained from his face instantly.

His mouth was slightly open, as if he wanted to say something, but he couldn't utter a word. His gaze shifted from the First Emperor's face to Luo Fei's, his eyes filled with reluctance and panic.

After a long silence, he finally spoke, his voice slightly nervous and trembling: "Teacher, when will you be back?"

Luo Fei replied, "I'm not sure. It might be soon, or it might take a long time."

His voice was calm, but it could not soothe the turmoil in Fusu's heart.

Fusu nodded, his lips twitching as he tried to force a smile, but he couldn't manage it; only bitterness spread across his face.

He silently stepped aside, head down, and said nothing more.

Li Si was soon summoned.

When he entered the main hall, his steps were quick yet steady, and the hem of his dark gray robe fluttered gently in the wind.

His hair was held in place by a jade hairpin, and although his face showed signs of fatigue, the sharpness in his eyes was undeniable.

He approached the First Emperor, bowed respectfully with his hands clasped, and said, "Your Majesty, did you summon me here for any purpose?"

The First Emperor raised his hand from the table and gestured in Luo Fei's direction, his tone still calm: "The Imperial Advisor is leaving."

Li Si paused, his bowing posture frozen in place.

He leaned forward slightly, his lips moved, as if he was processing the news.

His gaze shifted from Luo Fei's face to that of the First Emperor, a flicker of shock crossing his eyes before he regained his composure.

He spoke in a deep voice, each word steady and powerful, carrying an undeniable determination: "Rest assured, Grand Preceptor. I will do my utmost to assist Your Majesty, to fully develop Great Qin, to enrich the country and strengthen its military. I will strive to unify the entire Blue Star as soon as possible, and I will never fail to live up to your expectations and teachings."

Luo Fei looked at Li Si, at his tired and thin face that had recently become thin from overwork, and at the ink stains on the hem of his dark gray robe.

He nodded without saying anything.

Luo Fei slowly walked to the table and took something out of his ring.

It was a Type 92 pistol, entirely black, with a metallic sheen.

The sleeve is clearly engraved with a number.

A cylindrical black suppressor, slightly thicker than the barrel, was mounted on the muzzle.

He then took out two magazines from the ring, each one heavy and filled with bullets.

There was also a box of ammunition, a yellow cardboard box printed with the words "9mm pistol ammunition, 50 rounds," simple and clear.

He neatly placed the gun, magazine, and ammunition box on the table, then gently pushed them toward the First Emperor.

The First Emperor looked down at the pistol, his eyes filled with curiosity.

Looking at its appearance, which was completely out of step with the times, a huge wave of emotion surged within him.

In the past few days, he had seen incredibly sharp Tang swords, solar panels that could convert sunlight into electricity, refrigerators that could produce cold, televisions that could play images, and washing machines that could wash clothes automatically, but he had never seen anything so strange.

He didn't know what it was or what its purpose was, but his intuition told him that it was definitely not a simple thing.

He looked up at Luo Fei, his eyes filled with doubt.

Luo Fei picked up the pistol, skillfully removed the magazine, pulled the slide to confirm there were no bullets in the chamber, and then confidently demonstrated it.

He reinserted the magazine, pushed it into place, and made a soft, crisp "click."

He raised his gun, pointing it at the empty courtyard outside the main hall, his finger resting on the outside of the trigger guard, not inside, to avoid any accident.

"Your Majesty, this thing is called a pistol."

Luo Fei slowly began to explain, his voice clear.

"It is a weapon, even more terrifying than the Tang sword. It can kill from a great distance, without needing to get close to the opponent or engage in combat; simply pulling the trigger is enough to take a life."

After saying that, Luo Fei placed the pistol on the table.

The First Emperor leaned forward slightly, his eyes fixed on the pistol.

He stared at the black cylindrical silencer, at the dark muzzle, as if he could see the endless killing intent hidden inside.

His hand slowly reached for the pistol, his fingers lightly touching the grip.

He picked up the gun, held it in his palm, and examined it closely, his eyes filled with inquiry.

He carefully examined every part of the gun, feeling its weight and texture.

Suddenly, he found the magazine release button, pressed it gently, and the magazine popped out with a "click" and fell onto the table.

He placed his hand on the socket and, mimicking Luo Fei's earlier action, pulled hard. The socket slid backward, producing a crisp metallic scraping sound that sent a jolt through him.

Luo Fei picked up the magazine from the table, took the pistol from the First Emperor, inserted it back into the gun, pushed it into place, and there was another soft "click".

He handed the gun to the First Emperor and said, "Your Majesty, take this."
