Chapter 370 The Arrogant Marshal, the Fleet is Assembled
Just as the emergency meeting of the Blue Star United Government had concluded and the official announcement was being released across the global internet, billions of people were still shocked and confused by this sudden news.
The once empty and desolate star field, thirty light-years away from Blue Star, is now shrouded in a massive shadow.
A dark gray fleet stretched out on the black curtain of space, densely packed, like iron filings scattered by the wind, gleaming coldly in the faint starlight.
The fleet was larger than most people could imagine; up close, each spaceship looked like a moving city.
From a distance, they appear clustered together, occupying the entire area of the field of vision.
Suddenly, a new fleet appeared from the void.
The moment the space jump was completed, the dark gray hull gradually solidified under the starlight, and hundreds of spaceships silently emerged from the shadows, forming a neat queue.
The spaceship in the very middle of the formation was several times larger than the others, with its length and width measured in kilometers. Its hull was covered with a layer of dark gray armor, which was engraved with dense patterns.
The Imperial Marshal stood on the bridge of the flagship, facing a huge arched porthole.
Outside the porthole, the spaceships that had just completed their space jump were adjusting their positions, their engine exhaust streaks of light leaving thin trails in the darkness.
He was tall, with curved horns on his head, and his skin almost blended into the background under the dim red light.
He put his hands behind his back, his gaze sweeping over the spaceships that were forming a formation, then returning to the holographic projection in front of him.
The projection showed a star map, with the spaceship surrounded by countless red dots, each dot representing a fleet.
The adjutant stood two steps behind him, holding a data tablet in his hand, with data scrolling rapidly on the screen.
He began, "Marshal, less than half of the total fleet has arrived so far. According to the original plan, the remaining fleet will arrive in succession in the near future."
"The fleet that has been assembled so far consists of several thousand ships, totaling nearly 100,000 ships of various types."
He paused, then added, "Furthermore, we discovered some probes in the nearby star system, some of which have been confirmed and destroyed. However, it's uncertain whether there are still undetected probes monitoring our movements."
The marshal didn't turn around; his gaze remained fixed on the holographic projection: "When you destroyed those detectors, did you detect any reaction from them?"
The adjutant lowered his head, quickly checked the records on the data panel, and replied, "Reporting to the Marshal, nothing unusual. After the detector was destroyed, we did not detect any suspicious communication signals or any abnormal energy fluctuations."
He paused briefly, a hint of uncertainty in his voice: "However, our location should have already been detected by those detectors, and the relevant information has likely already been reported to their receivers."
The marshal's lips twitched slightly, revealing a disdainful sneer, seemingly unsurprised by the answer: "It doesn't matter. Before our absolute strength, whatever preparations those insignificant ants make are nothing but futile struggles."
A brief silence fell over the bridge.
Outside the porthole, a large fleet of ships completed their space jumps, their outlines gradually becoming clear under the starlight.
The adjutant glanced down at the data panel in his hand, his lips moved as if he had something important to say, but he hesitated, appearing quite worried.
Finally, he mustered his courage and said, "Marshal, before we set off, I had the staff carefully review all the combat data sent back by the advance fleet."
"The abilities that special human on Earth displayed were far too bizarre."
"He can survive freely in space without any protection, easily ignore our ship's energy shields and armor, and his speed far exceeds any known physical limit, making him completely outside the realm of ordinary life forms."
"Based on the information we have so far, his abilities may not be entirely derived from the Earth civilization itself, but may be aided by other civilizations of unknown origin."
He paused, as if considering his next words: "If we launch a general offensive after he has fully grasped our deployment, it may cause unnecessary losses."
The marshal looked away from the holographic projection and turned to look at his adjutant.
His eyes were dark red, with pupils that were slits, appearing like a knife-cut crack in the dim red light: "Losses? How many ships do we have? How many fleets? How many soldiers? Tell me."
The adjutant lowered his head and lowered his voice, as if reporting a set of data he already knew by heart: "Once all the fleets are assembled, the total number is expected to exceed two hundred thousand ships."
The marshal's lips curled into a grin, revealing two rows of dark yellow fangs: "More than two hundred thousand ships. Even if he is incredibly capable, destroying them one by one would take a considerable amount of time. Before that, our fleet will have already completed the encirclement, completely locking down that blue planet from all directions."
"Once the encirclement is complete, we can concentrate our firepower and bombard him alone. How could one human possibly withstand an attack from so many of our weapons?"
"As long as we can eventually take down Earth, the sacrifice of some ships and soldiers is insignificant."
The adjutant was silent for a few seconds, then looked away from the holographic projection and onto his own data panel, as if he were checking the numbers and plans one last time.
He didn't try to persuade them further, but simply nodded: "Understood. I will arrange for each fleet to simultaneously move into their departure positions after completing the space jump charging."
The marshal turned around and looked back out the porthole.
Outside the window, another fleet completed a space jump, the outlines of the spaceships becoming clearer from their illusory appearance, their exhaust flames lighting up in the darkness.
These spaceships were arranged in a neat formation, slowly unfolding around the flagship, forming concentric circles, like a giant python that was shrinking.
The adjutant's voice rang out behind him again: "Marshal, the last fleet has completed its space jump. All fleets are now assembled."
The marshal stood by the porthole, gazing at the massive fleet outside, composed of spaceships, slowly adjusting its formation.
A slight smile played on his lips as he said without turning around, "Once all the spaceships are fully charged, maintain formation and head towards Blue Star."
On Earth, Luo Fei's phone suddenly received a hurried and tense voice from Xiao Wan, her tone shorter and more serious than usual: "Captain, all the probes we deployed near the alien fleet have lost signal. The last transmitted data shows that the number of ships in the target area is increasing dramatically, far exceeding our previous assessment."
"The exact number cannot be accurately counted, but based on the last transmitted signal, it is estimated that the number of confirmed ship signals is close to 100,000, and the number was still increasing before the signal was interrupted. Subsequent signal interruptions made it impossible to continue tracking."
