I started by watching videos, and I chose 10,000 combat power.

The director was shocked to hear Luo Fei's voice in the earpiece, but he didn't have time to investigate further.

"Received! Please maintain the current frequency! We will immediately coordinate airspace and alternate landing sites for you! Please do your best to maintain aircraft stability!"

The air traffic controller maintained communication with Luo Fei, while the director, who was checking MU4396 flight information on his device, shouted hoarsely throughout the hall: "Immediately activate the highest level emergency plan! Quickly clear the airspace below MU4396! Contact Longhai City Airport! Have them notify the fire department, ambulance service, and all emergency units to be on high alert! Hurry!"

A piercing alarm sounded in the control center.

The red lights flashed wildly.

Upon receiving the report, Longhai Airport immediately sounded the highest level of alert.

"Waaaaah—waaaah—"

The piercing alarm instantly resounded throughout the entire airport area.

The sound startled travelers strolling leisurely through the airport, causing them to abruptly stop, and ground staff working on the ground to halt their tasks and look up at the source of the noise.

"We have received an emergency notification from the Shanghai Airport Authority! Flight MU4396 has experienced cockpit depressurization, a shattered windshield, and incapacitated pilots and first officer. It is currently being temporarily piloted by a passenger. The altitude is continuing to drop abnormally, and the flight is expected to arrive at the airport in approximately 37 minutes! Immediately activate the Level 1 Emergency Response Plan! Repeat, Level 1 Emergency Response Plan!" The notification echoed over the loudspeaker in the airport operations control center.

"The entire airport fire brigade is deployed! All exits 1, 2, and 3 are cleared! Foam trucks, dry powder trucks, and rescue vehicles are immediately in position!"

"Medical Emergency Center! All on-duty and standby medical personnel, ambulances, and emergency equipment, immediately proceed to the designated assembly point and stand by!"

"Immediately clear all runways and adjacent taxiways! All waiting flights must cease pushback, and flights already on taxiways must immediately return to their parking positions! Control tower, guide waiting flights to divert to a neighboring city airport!"

"Security and security departments! Open emergency exits to guide subsequent rescue forces! Deploy additional personnel to maintain order in the terminal, calm passengers, and prevent panic!"

The orders were issued one after another like a sudden storm.

The airport instantly switched from routine operations to emergency response mode.

Almost at the same time.

A working meeting in the Longhai Municipal Government building was interrupted by the mayor's secretary, who looked flustered.

He quickly walked over to Mayor Zhou Jianhua and whispered a few words in his ear.

Zhou Jianhua's originally serious expression suddenly changed, his brows furrowed into a deep frown, and he abruptly stood up from his seat. The previously noisy conference room instantly fell silent, and everyone's eyes were focused on the mayor.

"Meeting adjourned!" the mayor's voice was stern and decisive. "A flight has experienced a serious malfunction and needs to make an emergency landing at our city's airport. Immediately activate the highest-level emergency response for major aviation accidents across the city!"

"The top leaders of all relevant units—public security, fire department, health commission, emergency response, transportation, etc.—must arrive at the airport emergency command center within ten minutes! Quickly!"

"Yes!" "Understood!" The conference room was filled with the screeching sound of chairs scraping against the floor and gasps of shock.

No one dared to ask a question. Everyone knew what the words "Level 1 Response" meant. They grabbed their laptops and phones and rushed out of the meeting room, their footsteps echoing through the hallway.

Meanwhile, the chaos in the cabin of flight MU4396, high in the sky, did not last long.

After the initial extreme panic and screaming, the purser and several flight attendants demonstrated amazing professionalism and mental fortitude.

Although their faces were pale and their eyes held fear, they tried their best to keep their voices calm and their movements swift.

"Please stay calm! Don't panic! Put on your oxygen masks! Like me, pull down your mask to cover your mouth and nose, and breathe normally!"

The chief flight attendant stood at the front of the cabin, constantly shouting at the top of her lungs while demonstrating the actions.

"The plane is now being handled by professionals! We are en route to the nearest airport for an emergency landing! Please trust us! Trust the captain!" Several other flight attendants struggled down the aisle, checking each passenger's oxygen mask and constantly reassuring them with words.

"Everyone, please be seated! Fasten your seatbelts! Hold onto the armrests in front of you! Lower your heads and assume an impact-resistant posture!" The flight attendant's voice came over the cabin intercom.

Perhaps the oxygen masks provided the necessary oxygen, alleviating some of the physiological panic; perhaps the flight attendants' calm demonstrations and shouts had an effect; or perhaps people in extreme environments instinctively grasp at any seemingly reliable instruction...

The commotion in the cabin gradually subsided.

The crying still lingered, but the large-scale chaos was contained.

The passengers were pale, their eyes were empty or filled with fear, and they gripped the handrails or the hands of their loved ones tightly, bowing their heads as instructed.

In first class, Luo Yumei clung tightly to Zhao Lin. Both mother and daughter wore oxygen masks, their bodies trembling slightly with fear. Luo Yumei kept whispering to her daughter, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, your brother is ahead..." It was unclear whether she was comforting her daughter or herself.

Zhao Lin's big eyes were filled with tears, but she obediently did not cry out, and just clung tightly to her mother.

However, the crisis inside the cockpit is escalating further.

The cab, without a windshield, allowed sub-zero temperatures to continuously and relentlessly pour in.

On the instrument panel, the warning lights that had been flashing only partially now lit up one after another.

"Beep—! Beep—! Beep—!"

The piercing error message beeps rang out one after another.

"Autopilot system disconnected."

"The flight monitor is black."

"The central government has issued a warning that some computer modules have malfunctioned."

"Radio communication interrupted."

Stable communication with the ground control of the Shanghai district came to an abrupt halt after a burst of ear-piercing electrical static.

No matter how Luo Fei adjusted the frequency or switched to backup devices, all that remained in the headphones was a chilling hissing sound.

He lost his last verbal connection with the ground.

Worse still, some critical flight instruments began to show data jumps or fail completely.

The readings from altimeters, airspeed indicators, and attitude indicators are no longer entirely reliable.

Luo Fei's brows furrowed tightly.

Equipment malfunctions caused by low temperatures and moisture are beyond the scope of "top-tier driving technology." Technology can tell you how to operate the equipment, but it cannot repair physically damaged circuits and sensors.

Without reliable instrument data, without ground guidance, relying solely on visual inspection and a few still-functioning instruments, they managed to make an emergency landing of a damaged large passenger plane under adverse conditions...

The difficulty increases exponentially.

He must re-establish contact and obtain ground guidance and real-time data support!

Just then, a brilliant idea flashed into his mind.

mobile phone!

His new phone seems to have satellite calling capabilities! Although civil aviation regulations require mobile phones to be switched off or put into airplane mode during flights, this is to avoid interfering with normal communications. At this moment, all conventional communications have been interrupted; a satellite signal might be the only hope!

He quickly pulled his phone out of his pocket.

Unlock the phone, turn off airplane mode, there is no normal signal, quickly find and activate the satellite communication function.

Signal searching... weak signal... connecting...

A few seconds later, an icon indicating a successful satellite connection lit up!

Become!

A number flashed through Luo Fei's mind—Chen Tao, Longhai City Branch of the National Security Bureau.

After the incident in northern Myanmar, they exchanged contact information. As a national security officer, Chen Tao should have sufficient authority and channels to contact the airport command center and higher authorities as quickly as possible!

Without hesitation, he dialed Chen Tao's number.

The phone rang four or five times.

Every waiting tone seemed incredibly long at that moment.

Just when Luo Fei thought the call wouldn't go through.

"Feed?" Chen Tao's voice came through.

"Director Chen, this is Luo Fei!" Luo Fei spoke rapidly, his voice muffled through the oxygen mask, but every word was clear. "I'm currently on flight MU4396. The cockpit windshield is cracked, and the captain and first officer are unconscious. I'm temporarily in charge. Currently, some aircraft equipment is malfunctioning due to low temperatures, causing a radio communication outage. We urgently need ground guidance and real-time data support! The aircraft is expected to arrive at Longhai Airport in approximately thirty-three minutes! Requesting immediate coordination!"

There was a brief silence on the other end of the phone.

Even with Chen Tao's rich experience and strong composure, his mind went blank for a moment when he heard the news.

Luo Fei? That young man who performed extraordinary feats in northern Myanmar? How could he be on the ill-fated flight? And still flying it?! This is simply beyond reason.

But he was Chen Tao after all, and he forced himself to calm down in the next second.

"Understood! Position, altitude, heading, speed, remaining fuel!" Chen Tao's voice was concise and to the point.

Luo Fei quickly reported a series of key data.

"Maintain your current course and altitude! I'll immediately coordinate with the Longhai Airport control tower and military radar to provide you with guidance! Keep your phone accessible!" Chen Tao spoke just as quickly. "Comrade Luo Fei, hang in there!"

The call has ended.

Chen Tao slammed his hand on the driver's seat: "Turn around! Don't go back to the branch! Go to the airport! Top speed! Turn on the siren!"

Without a word, the driver jerked the steering wheel, and the black sedan spun a dangerous arc across the road. The warning lights on the roof began to flash, and the engine roared as it sped toward the airport.

Inside the car, Chen Tao quickly scrolled through his phone's contact list.

His first call was directly to the Longhai City Emergency Command Center, where he identified himself and requested access to the airport rescue command center.

The second call was made to an even higher-ups…

In the sky, Luo Fei put his phone back in his pocket and firmly gripped the steering wheel with both hands again.

My gaze pierced through the shattered windshield, looking down at the faint outline of the city below.

The lights on the dial were still flashing erratically.
