The carriage overturned and broke into two pieces. The weapons and shields on his back came loose due to the straps and were nowhere to be seen. The crossbow was also out of his sight after he lost his grip.

The enemy's two carriages stopped not far away, and several more adventurers got out of the two carriages. Together with the two people and two horses who had arrived a few seconds earlier, there were exactly sixteen of them.

"Captain, I'm trapped, I can't get out anytime soon..."

Linsel glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw that "Broken Arrow" was covered by a section of the broken carriage. He seemed to be unharmed and was struggling to break free, but it was very difficult for him.

"Get Claire and the others to help you, hurry up!"

"Claire seems to have disappeared, and so has that old man..."

Linsel did not see the female wanderer, but he had no time to worry about that, as the enemy had quickly moved to the left and right, surrounding him and "Broken Arrow".

A Black Iron-rank adventurer asked his companion, "Why are there only two people? Where are the coachman and that woman?"

A tall, muscular silver-ranked adventurer, carrying a giant axe and bearing a long scar on his forehead, commanded in a thunderous voice.

Linsel saw four Iron-level adventurers disappear into the woods on either side and begin searching.

"Wolf Slayer, I am Jaeger's 'Mountain Bear.' We've already found out that your two teammates used dirty and despicable means to win our money in the competition. Now, hand it all over!"

"Yes, as long as you hand over all your gambling money, I, 'Red Crossbow,' guarantee you can leave safely."

The crossbowman adventurer next to him, who called himself "Red Crossbowman," was also a Silver-ranked player. As he spoke, he picked up an exquisite, lacquered red crossbow, ready to fire at any moment.

"Red Crossbow, is that the one that dodged several of our arrows?"

"It is I, 'Wolf Slayer'! Your arrows are too slow; you can't hit me!"

Linsel heard a somewhat familiar voice and saw the person behind "Mountain Bear." It turned out to be "Stuck Staff," a silver-ranked adventurer whom he had defeated at the tournament.

With him included, the other side now has a total of seventeen.

"Wolf Slayer, we meet again..." "Staff" revealed a ferocious smile. "So you've finally found yourself in this predicament, hahaha..."

"So what if he beat me in the match a few days ago? His current pathetic state is truly laughable."

Lindsay did not respond; he was silently considering the possibility of breaking out.

The trees on both sides of the dirt road in the forest were dense. After four people left, the encirclement of the remaining thirteen people was loose and casual. Linsel was temporarily relieved. It seemed that these people were still adventurers. They probably didn't rush at him because they were worried about being harassed by the guild if they killed other adventurers.

He ran to "Broken Arrow's" side, bent down, and whispered to him.

"Brinan, are you alright? Can you still fight?"

"Broken Arrow" was very anxious: "My leg hurts a bit, but it should only be a minor injury. However, I can't move now, and I can't run away."

"Have you thought it through yet?" "Red Crossbow" was getting impatient seeing that Linsel had been taking too long to discuss things.

Lindsay stood up.

"You have the means, and I have one too!"

"Mountain Bear" couldn't help but burst into laughter: "You dare to negotiate? What a joke! 'Wolf Slayer,' no matter how much others have praised you, with so many of us, there's no way you can escape."

"Don't rush, 'Mountain Bear'," "Red Crossbow" advised again, "Listen to his conditions first."

Lindsay had planned to make his move after saying those words, to catch her off guard, but at that moment, a person suddenly emerged from the woods.

This person wasn't Claire, but rather Old Man Mafgen.

Lao Gen's appearance attracted the attention of all the enemies present: "Although I am just a stable boy, I know the difference between good and evil."
