The Red Mansion in its bustling glory

My name is Jia Jue, a direct descendant of the Duke of Rongguo, the second son of Jia Zheng, and the elder brother of Jia Baoyu. In my family: my elder brother was diligent from a young age but died young; my younger brother was born with a jade in his mouth and was the center of attention; my elder sister was an imperial concubine, enjoying boundless glory; my grandmother was old and her favoritism was obvious. As for me—I studied hard for years, knowing the bitterness and hardship all by myself. I transmigrated from the modern era, knowing that this family's edifice was on the verge of collapse, as fragile as a pile of eggs. I had to save myself. Until that day, I wore a red robe and stood out at the Qionglin Banquet. The Emperor asked me what reward I desired. I bowed deeply: "First, I request the rectification of the clan school and the restoration of the family's reputation." "Second, I request the investigation of old abuses to rectify the family's practices." "Third..." I didn't raise my eyes, but my gaze seemed to pierce through many barriers, landing on that fairy-like girl. Until that day, the world realized—the Jia family wasn't just about that troublemaker.
