The Black Bloodline of Hogwarts
Chapter 14 The Evans Bloodline
After Professor McGonagall finished her Transfiguration and shocked everyone, she finally turned her attention entirely to Julien.
She carefully observed his familiar emerald green eyes and the mature demeanor that belied his age.
Her gaze was complex, containing both wariness of the surname "Blake" and admiration for the boy before her. Of course, Julien's parents' behavior had already convinced her that this was a genuine Muggle family.
"Mr. Shym Julien Black," she said formally, "Welcome to Hogwarts. Your name has appeared in the Book of Admission, an unalterable destiny. Here, you will learn how to properly use your talents, make lifelong friends, and find your own path."
She paused, her gaze sweeping over the still-shocked parents, her tone softening slightly: "This is indeed a huge shock for a Muggle family. But please believe me, Hogwarts is not just a school, it's a home. We will protect every student, no matter where they come from. Shiller needs it, just as it needs him."
Altair and Clara stared at each other, their proud world of reason crumbling before the crane in the living room.
They looked at their quiet son, who didn't seem too surprised by the "supernatural phenomenon."
At this moment, Julien was watching the crane with great interest, touching it here and scratching it there, without showing any fear.
He may not really belong to the ordinary world they know.
At this moment, Professor McGonagall spoke again, "Mrs. Black," she said to Clara, "if I may ask, what was your last name before you got married? No offense, it's just that your eyes look a lot like those of an old friend of mine."
An old acquaintance? Clara was somewhat surprised, but still replied, "My last name is Evans."
Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow. "Then do you know Lily Evans?"
"Oh God! You know Lily! She's my distant cousin."
"I see, that explains it." Professor McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief, her expression becoming even more gentle. She then looked into Julien's eyes. "Lily is also my student."
"What! So Lily went to Hogwarts! So our family used to have wizards in the past."
Clara felt increasingly incredulous. "If magic is so amazing," Clara pointed at the crane, "then how did Lily and the others die in a car accident?"
"A car accident!" This time it was Professor McGonagall's turn to be surprised and somewhat angry. "Who said that?!"
"Yes... Penny told us that. Isn't that right?" Clara said hesitantly. Everyone feels like they're facing the headmaster when they're in school when facing the stern Professor McGonagall.
"Of course not! How could they possibly get into a car accident in your Muggle world! Lily and her husband James are the heroes and pride of our wizarding world!"
Grandma Elodie raised an eyebrow when she heard the word "Muggle".
Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, then said, "Although I can't go into the details now, Julien will find out eventually. By the way, their child, Harry, is also starting school this year."
"Harry Potter! That poor kid is a wizard too?" Clara exclaimed.
"Pitiful? You've seen him?" Professor McGonagall asked. "Is he having a hard time?"
"Well... I took Julien to visit Mr. Dursley and Petunia about six months ago."
Clara hesitated for a moment before replying, "You know, relatives can never take care of you as... as meticulously as your own parents." Clara finally managed to come up with a good word, but her expression was extremely awkward.
"I understand. It seems I need to have a good talk with that senile old man, Dumbledore."
Professor McGonagall, a wise and experienced woman, looked quite displeased. "It seems you've all accepted the concept of wizards. That's all for today. I'll come back next week to take Julien to Diagon Alley to buy school supplies." With that, Professor McGonagall hurriedly prepared to leave.
"By the way, please prepare your cash to exchange for the wizard's currency. You don't need a lot, as the wizard bank has a limit on exchanges, but gold and silver jewelry are not restricted."
No one noticed that throughout Professor McGonagall's entire home visit, Grandfather Alphad did not utter a single word.
He breathed a sigh of relief only after Professor McGonagall left, thinking to himself that it was fortunate that Professor McGonagall's strengths were not the same as Ollivander's.
It's worth noting that he was once McGonagall's student, even though McGonagall was Dumbledore's teaching assistant back then.
Altair took a deep breath, and although disbelief still lingered on his face, his paternal instincts led him to support his son's decision.
He reached out and patted his son's shoulder, his voice a little hoarse: "Okay, son. If you really want to go to that... Warthog Castle, then go ahead."
Julien nodded emphatically, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
As night deepened, after the group discussed the wonders of magic once more and reached a consensus, Julien prepared to go back to his room to sleep.
Just then, Grandma grabbed Grandpa Alpha, who was also heading back to his bedroom, and said, "Julien, go and rest first. My dear, shouldn't you tell us three Muggles your story?"

Hogwarts Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
The night was as dark as ink, dotted with countless stars, as if countless eyes were watching over this ancient magical fortress.
Inside the principal's office, candlelight flickered, illuminating portraits of past principals on the walls, some dozing, others deep in thought. The air was filled with the faint sweet scent of lemon-orange and the aroma of old parchment.
Professor Minerva McGonagall stood before her large desk, her posture as upright as ever, but a rare hint of fatigue lingered in her eyes.
She had just finished a peculiar home visit and a furtive spying session. Yes, she had personally gone to No. 4 Privet Drive in Little Huijin District and secretly investigated the place.
Even though Hagrid had already taken Harry to Diagon Alley, and the Dursleys were now more wary of Harry, they remained indifferent.
"Albus," her voice was as crisp and clear as ever, without the slightest hesitation, "I have already visited the family of Schillerm Julien Black."
Albus Dumbledore, sitting behind his desk, had changed into a light-colored dressing gown. When he saw Professor McGonagall enter, he put down his quill pen, and his deep blue eyes behind his half-moon spectacles shone with a gentle and wise light.
"Oh? Please have a seat, Minerva. Would you like a hot honey lemon tea? Or... I just got a new batch of dancing cockroaches?"
"Thank you, but no need, Albus." Professor McGonagall decisively declined the principal's offer, saying directly, "The situation is somewhat...unexpected."
Dumbledore leaned forward slightly, touching his fingertips together, making a listening gesture.
"Unexpected? Is it because of the surname 'Blake'? I admit, I was quite surprised when I saw the name in the Book of Admission. I thought that ancient and proud family tree had completely withered away."
"Quite the opposite, Albus." Professor McGonagall shook her head, a hint of disbelief in her voice. "That family was a completely typical Muggle family."
"His father, Altair Black, was a shrewd wine merchant who knew nothing about magic and even thought Hogwarts was some Scottish boarding school that taught magic tricks. The problem must lie with his mother."
"Oh, is there something wrong with his mother's family?" Dumbledore's eyes showed a hint of curiosity.
"His mother, Clara Black, whose maiden name was Evans before marriage," Professor McGonagall took a deep breath, "was Lily's distant cousin."
