Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 051: Setting off in a carriage!

Loran went to the Adventurers' Guild and bought some recovery potions and energizing potions.

Recovery potions can effectively heal wounds, while energizing potions can replenish the energy lost after overusing skills.

The adventurer party "Sharp Spear" that guy formed caused quite a stir in the town.

And recently, it's also a peak period with many missions, and everyone is discussing which team, the Blade of Excellence or the Sharp Spear, will be the first to solve the recent goblin infestation problem.

Loran didn't want to think about that anymore; he just wanted to do his best in every adventure.

......

On the other side, Ronnie's tailor shop.

"Hey, Finita, what are you buying all this for?" Ronnie asked, noticing some of the small items Finita had purchased.

The small backpack contained some dry bread, a fire starter, a small tent, and other outdoor supplies.

She immediately realized something was wrong, and at that moment, Finita also came out of the room.

"Sister... Sister." Finita saw Ronnie rummaging through her backpack and her heart tightened. She quickly stepped forward.

Ronnie glared at Finita with an angry look. "Finita, you better explain this to me properly today. You probably don't even need these things at home!"

Finita lowered her head, looking at Ronnie with some guilt, and stammered, "Sister, um, I...I actually am..."

"You actually want to go on an adventure, right?" Ronnie helped Finita finish what she was saying.

Finita lowered her head even further.

"But do you know that adventure is a very dangerous thing, especially since you are just a girl and haven't mastered any related skills? Before you become a mage, you have no ability to face wild beasts alone!"

Ronnie criticized her harshly.

"Have you forgotten? Our father, because he insisted on taking risks despite all opposition, ended up in a den of monsters. Our mother tried to save him, but... but in the end, only we were left."

"Finita, I can't afford to lose any more family members, do you understand?" Ronnie slowly knelt down and cupped Finita's face in her hands.

She said earnestly, "Finita, if you really want to go on adventures, then become a mage first. Only by unleashing powerful spells will you have the ability to deal with danger."

"Sweetie, I understand how you feel, but you can't do anything foolish." Ronnie patted Finita's hair. "I'll pack your backpack for you, and I'll give it back to you when you become a mage."

Finita remained silent for a long time before saying earnestly, "Sister, I know magic tricks. Even without magic, I have the ability to face wild beasts!"

After saying that, Finita broke free from Ronnie's restraints, turned around and took out powder from her backpack, then picked up a wooden stick.

"Ignite it!"

The next moment, under the influence of the powder, the wooden stick actually burst into flames.

Ronnie looked at Finita quietly, then said calmly, "Finita, who do you think this little flame can hurt? I heard Instructor Lena mention that trickery and magic are completely different concepts."

"Finita, you're simply not capable of facing the wilderness. Don't make me worry about you anymore, okay?!"

Finita dropped the burning stick from her hand. She looked at Ronnie, who was panting with her eyes closed, and felt a pang of sadness.

"Teacher Lena once told me that a tranquil garden cannot cultivate magnificent roses. If I want to master magic, I cannot wait comfortably here. I must actively explore! Sister, forgive my impulsiveness..."

After saying that, Finita picked up her backpack, went into her room, and closed the door.

Ronnie stared at the closed door, covered her face, and sighed, "Why...why is our family always involved in adventure? I've tried so hard to avoid it, Mom, what should I do?"

......

The appointed day arrived, and the Dog Dagger Squad gathered in the Adventurers' Guild square, each member looking radiant.

"Hey! Isn't this our Mr. Loran? What, you finally decided to change your gear? You look pretty good!" Lin Wen nudged Loran's shoulder with her elbow as usual and said teasingly.

"Haha, yeah, this time we're not facing wild rabbits, so naturally we need to change to better equipment."

Lin Wen noticed something different. She saw that Loran's bow was a little different, and after taking a closer look, she exclaimed in surprise, "You...your bow seems to have something wrong with it! Did you buy a fake?!"

Loran paused, took the bow down, and examined it carefully. "There's no problem. I had it forged by a blacksmith; the materials shouldn't have been switched."

Lin Wen pouted and pointed to the bends at both ends of the bow. "I'm not talking about the materials. Look, why are there bends at both ends of this bow?"

Loran understood. "You mean this? This is a bow I had specially designed by a blacksmith. It's easier to use than a straight bow."

Hearing Loran's explanation, Lin Wen scratched his head and muttered, "Then how come I've never seen a bow like this before..."

"Don't worry, I've already tested it myself, and there's no problem."

"All right"

Loran and the others waited for a while and then realized... that one of them seemed to be missing.

Lin Wen hesitated for a moment before asking, "Is Finita late?"

"It shouldn't be... right? Could it be that her sister found out?" Loran said with some worry.

However, everyone soon saw the red-haired figure appear in their line of sight.

Finita, carrying a large bag and panting, arrived in front of the group. "I...I'm sorry, everyone, I'm a little late!"

Lin Wen quickly went to help Finita up, afraid that the girl might accidentally fall, and hurriedly said, "It's okay, it's okay, you're not late, you're just in time!"

Noah looked at Finita with some curiosity. "Finita, what are you doing carrying such a big bag?"

"Um... because I was afraid I wouldn't be of much help, I brought a lot of equipment that we might need for camping in the wild, hoping to be of better assistance to everyone!" Finita said somewhat apologetically.

"Haha, that's thoughtful of you, Finita. Now that everyone's here, let's set off!" said Loran.

"Woof woof! Adventure! Adventure! We utterly annihilated those goblins!"

"By the way, before we set off, everyone, please follow me!" Lin Wen said, leading the way.

The group then followed Lin Wen to a stable in the town.

"Hello, Miss Linwen, this is the carriage you will be using." And so, the carriage pulled by two horses appeared in front of everyone's view.

The two groups of brown horses looked very energetic, their manes fluttering in the wind.

Loran exclaimed in surprise, "You even prepared a carriage?"

"Hmm!" Lin Wen curled the corners of her lips. "You don't actually plan to walk there, do you? Now that you have money, of course you should treat yourself better. Besides, if the four of us split the cost, the fare won't be too expensive!"

"Uh, how much is that?"

"A trip costs 12 silver coins. If it exceeds three days, it costs an extra 5 silver coins per day. This price isn't expensive; it's the cost of one serving of roasted meat per person, which can save a lot of energy!"
