Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 055: The Strong Goblin

Skill - Penetrate Lv.1 (Unlocked at 30 Adventure Points): Slightly enhances the power of arrows. If the power is sufficient, it can penetrate an enemy and continue to hit subsequent enemies.

Skill - Mud Throwing Lv.1 (Unlocked at 20 Adventure Points): Throws a clump of mud from the ground, causing temporary blindness if it hits an enemy.

Skill - Precision Throwing Knife Lv.1 (Unlocked with 20 Adventure Points): After activating the skill, you can accurately throw knives within a 5-meter range.

Skill - Steel Slash Lv.1 (Unlocked with 30 Adventure Points): Unleash a steel-like strike with your iron weapon, greatly increasing the weapon's toughness and dealing high cutting damage. If it cannot cut, it will resonate, causing moderate blunt damage.

The probability of unlocking skills by killing goblins has become higher than that of killing rabbits.

In an instant, a skill was unlocked for the three people and the dog in the team.

However, Loran didn't have time to check, because the battle was far from over.

It's important to know that goblins have a similar physical structure to humans, which means they are fundamentally different from other wild beasts—they use tools.

This means that goblins, in addition to using simple weapons like sticks, also use some more complex weapons.

The goblins that followed were now armed with long wooden or stone spears. The goblins in front carried a number of longer stone spears, while the goblins behind carried more short wooden spears in baskets on their backs.

"Oh no, it's goblin spearmen!" Linwen shouted.

It was obvious that the goblins carrying large numbers of wooden spears probably didn't want to engage in close combat with Loran and his companions.

Linwen had not anticipated this, because from her observation of the tribal camp, she only saw a few scattered goblins carrying spears.

The spears weren't something they couldn't handle; pulling them apart and letting Loran deal with it, or having her ambush them from behind, were good options.

But the appearance of spearmen is different. These guys can harass the front line from a distance, which makes dealing with them much more complicated.

As the wooden spears rained down from the sky, Loran dodged them while checking on Finita's condition; it seemed that this little girl was the weakest member of the team.

However, his worries seem somewhat unnecessary.

"Ignite!" Finita lit the tip of her iron spear and stabbed an oncoming goblin, killing it. She then quickly observed the wooden spears above and dodged them.

Finita wasn't just a bookworm who only knew how to use magic. On the contrary, she not only learned about magic at the training camp, but also trained her physique in her spare time.

While her skills were certainly inferior to those of Loran and his group, she was still quite capable compared to ordinary people. Her choice to use a spear, a relatively simple and easy-to-use weapon, was precisely to prepare for unexpected battles.

"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!" The goblins' stone spears pierced Noah's plate armor, leaving only slight marks and failing to cause any effective damage.

Noah's height meant that these green dwarfs couldn't hurt his head at all; that's the advantage of being tall.

Noah charged forward despite the spear attacks, his greatsword instantly cleaving through the goblin formation.

The goblins behind kept throwing wooden spears. They were not professionally trained and their accuracy was not high. They could only rely on quantity to increase their hit rate.

They were very fast, constantly throwing, using all their strength to throw out all the wooden spears on their bodies.

However, in their blind spot, a ghostly figure appeared.

"Sizzle!"

A flash of cold light appeared, and Lin Wen brandished his dagger, instantly slicing open the goblin's throat. The goblin's movements froze, and its eyes widened.

It tried to make some sound, but only a bloody "hoarse" sound came from its throat. Its eyes rolled back, its expression became ferocious, and it finally collapsed helplessly.

The commotion was so small that the goblins nearby, focused on throwing spears, didn't even notice. By the time they realized what was happening, Linwen's cold dagger was already upon them.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

Although these goblin spear throwers were slightly stronger than ordinary goblins, they were easily dealt with by Lin Wen without any warning.

Assassins are born to take down the backline!

......

These goblins were more muscular, but that was about it; they were no match for Loran and his companions.

In no time, the ground was littered with green goblin corpses, which was quite a shocking sight.

Sweating profusely, Noah smiled broadly, "It's been so long since I've had this much fun!"

But then Lin Wen exclaimed in surprise, "Wait, there's another goblin!"

Loran looked into the distance and saw a huge, muscular goblin slowly walking towards them.

This guy is at least three meters tall, and he's holding a fairly thick tree trunk with both arms.

"Roar! Foolish humans!" the muscular goblin roared, its feet trembling slightly as it stomped on the ground.

"Spiritual Vision!" Finita put on her monocle and activated Spiritual Vision to assess the goblin's approximate strength, concluding, "Low-level beginner."

Noah countered, "No, we can't judge monsters with human eyes. Spiritual vision takes into account not only strength, but also mental power and other influences."

"But monsters like goblins might have ridiculously low mental strength. The fact that it's at the low end of the beginner level means it achieved that through pure physical strength... It's definitely not to be underestimated!"

Everyone's hearts tightened. The scene of their last encounter with the wild boar was still fresh in their minds; it would be a lie to say that the sense of defeat hadn't affected them...

Loran activated his Weakness Insight skill and discovered that the goblin's head and navel were relatively vulnerable areas. He drew his bow and said, "Finita, let's teach it a lesson first!"

"Okay!" Finita responded immediately, and wisps of flame appeared on the arrow.

This combination technique they developed is very practical!

"Take this arrow first!"

With the aid of the recurve bow, the arrow was extremely powerful, striking the strong goblin in the chest in an instant.

"puff!"

The goblin was, after all, flesh and blood; the arrow pierced its chest, the flames extinguished upon entering its flesh, leaving only a searing heat...

"Ugh..." The strong goblin looked at the arrow in its chest, its expression turning ferocious. Just as it was about to pull it out, another arrow pierced its navel.

Before the strong goblin could react again.

One after another, and yet another one!
