Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 057: Camp Cave

Lin Wen and Luo Lan couldn't help but imagine many terrible stories.

Loran shook his head and comforted him, "Perhaps this goblin just took someone's ring on a whim, and that person is probably still imprisoned in the camp."

"Yes! We'll rescue the owner of this ring!"

Lin Wen left to continue cleaning up the battlefield, while Luo Lan carefully examined the ring. There seemed to be some patterns engraved on it, but they were covered by mud. She tried to wipe it, but found that it was not clean.

Loran didn't waste any more time on the ring; the iron ring was of limited value, not even worth a silver coin.

But it's different for the ring's owner. If the ring's owner is indeed captured in the camp, it can simply be returned to him.

Loran continued scavenging, and with his vulture-like talents, he was less likely to miss important items while looting corpses.

However, that feeling of being moved never returned, perhaps because there was a cooling-off period.

There are many goblin corpses; searching them one by one would be a waste of time.

If too much time is wasted and more enemies are encountered, it will be a loss. So in a sense, the Vulture talent is still very strong.

During his looting, Loran also thought of a skill he had previously overlooked.

Cloud Hunter Lv.1 (Unlocked at 20 Adventure Points): Touching creatures with your hand to steal their copper coins will reveal certain weaknesses.

The "Cloud-Piercing Hand" skill appears to be designed for pickpockets, used to stealthily pickpockets' coins from pedestrians on the street.

Loran would never do such a thing; he wasn't so destitute that he ignored the skill.

But what about now?

Having come through a series of adventures, Loran had accumulated a sufficient number of adventure points and chose to learn this skill.

After learning the skill, Loran touched the goblin's corpse again, and something amazing happened. Loran's hand acted as if it were a magnet, attracting the few copper coins on the goblin's corpse.

In that case, we can save time searching for copper coins.

Loran activated his skill and began to steal all the copper coins from the goblins in a short time.

Of course, this has certain limitations, namely that it can only absorb copper coins. However, this skill is only at level 1. If the level is increased, then absorbing silver coins should not be too difficult.

In short, Loran's skill tree seems to have become a bit... off.

After spending a short while clearing the battlefield, Loran and his companions began to slowly venture deeper into the goblin camp.

Lin Wen took the lead and went to investigate the situation again.

They had dealt with most of the goblins, but that didn't rule out the possibility that some goblins remained in the camp, so they still couldn't let their guard down.

Lin Wen returned, smiling with relief. "It seems there are still a few goblins left. They appear to have hidden in a cave, so they don't pose much of a threat."

"If that's the case, then let's nip it in the bud!" Noah said, clenching his fist.

"Woof woof!"

The group rushed into the goblin camp. There were no goblins left on the flat ground, nor were there any human men.

So they are very likely hiding in this cave.

Finita lit a torch, and the group slowly entered the cave. A chilling, eerie feeling instantly washed over them.

The cave in front of us was exceptionally spacious.

"It's so spacious, these goblins really know how to enjoy themselves," Loran remarked.

Lin Wen pouted, "That strong goblin is so big, it must live in a higher cave, right?"

Finita, however, said with some unease, "I feel... this cave is a bit strange. Could it be a trap set by the goblins?"

Upon hearing this, everyone slowed their pace, for what Finita said was not without merit.

Noah gripped his greatsword and said calmly, "I'll lead the way. Everyone, we are adventurers. There are several innocent villagers waiting for our rescue. I don't think we should give up before we even see any danger. If we encounter any emergencies, I'll cover the rear."

Loran looked at Noah with a complicated expression.

This tall adventurer warrior would thoughtfully remind everyone on the carriage to prioritize safety.

But when encountering mutant mountain boars, he will risk his life to protect his teammates, completely disregarding his own safety.

Now they are even taking the initiative to be at the forefront, risking their lives...

Having long since let go of his past, Loran is not lacking in adventurous spirit; if this were a completely safe journey, it wouldn't be called an adventure.

"Noah, we're a team. We won't let you shoulder anything alone, and everyone here has a spirit of adventure," Loran replied earnestly.

Lin Wen added, "Yes, yes, I don't believe it could be more dangerous than the last time we encountered that wild boar. We survived that time, so we won't be stumped by a small cave!"

"Me too!" Finita chimed in.

"Woof woof!"

Lin Wen also reminded everyone, "Please be careful. If you encounter a danger you can't handle, running away is always a good option!"

Everyone nodded and, after choosing their positions, slowly moved into the cave.

The cave's structure was clearly visible in the firelight.

Loran saw the wooden structure built in the cave, surrounded by many sturdy wooden supports, which were obviously for supporting weight.

In addition, you can see designated spots for placing torches on the rock walls on both sides of the cave.

Originally, everyone thought it was a relatively spacious, naturally formed cave, but now...

Lin Wen frowned, looking around at the scene, and said suspiciously, "The goblins I remember aren't like this, are they? Do they really live in caves all the time? And... these designs are all very reasonable, could a goblin with its single-minded brain really come up with such ideas?"

Noah stroked his chin, pondered for a moment, and said, "Indeed, I've participated in several goblin extermination missions, but I've never seen goblins build bases in caves. Besides, they've already built thatched huts and straw mats outside, so why would they need to build caves?"

Based on what he had seen and heard in his memory, Loran guessed and said:

"I've heard that kobolds are very good at digging. Could this place have been created by them?"

Noah agreed, saying, "It does look very similar. Perhaps this place was once inhabited by kobolds. They left, and the goblins reused this place."

The group continued forward, but the next moment...

"Stop!" Noah, who was walking in front, suddenly shouted.
