Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 071: Elfen's Publicity

The arrival of Erfen was undoubtedly a very good thing for Loran.

Loran himself naturally had no way of guiding the adventurers around him to discuss matters related to Elfin, and naturally had no way of knowing more about the various mysteries surrounding Elfin.

But things are different now. Alfin himself is already sitting here, so the surrounding discussions will naturally focus on Alfin.

"Phineas, the opportunity to gather intelligence has arrived," Loran said earnestly to Phineas.

Finita didn't ask any more questions, nodded seriously, and then listened attentively with Loran.

Elfin was a resident of Rockfall Town, and there were quite a few adventurers there, so basically whatever Elfin did would be seen by the adventurers.

Except when Elfin goes to carry out adventurer quest requests, adventurers can generally obtain information about him.

"I think I've seen Elfin lately. He seems to frequent that brothel in our town! Hey, don't let his serious appearance fool you, he's a womanizer better than anyone else!"

"A haven of gentle pleasures? Elfin would actually go to a place like that, tsk tsk tsk. But it's understandable, everyone has pressure, right?"

"But haven't I heard that elves generally have lower desires? This Elfin is quite unique, huh?"

"Hey, this guy isn't a pure elf, just a half-elf. Maybe he's perfectly inherited human desires and other elven traits."

"Speaking of which, I'm also reminded of a half-breed, that old man Thompson. He's practically the worst example of Elfin. Elfin inherited the best of both humans and elves, while that old man perfectly inherited the worst of both humans and dwarves!"

Loran's face darkened as he overheard the adventurers' conversation. What on earth were they talking about?!

What "gentle haven"? Loran thought for a moment; there seemed to be such a building, beautifully decorated. Right, he remembered there were many beautiful women inside...

Uh, okay, I won't think about it anymore, but how come Thompson is involved here?

Loran shook his head, filtering out the messy news. What was the difference between this news and those celebrity gossip, the truth of which was unknown?

"Speaking of which, I do know something. Elfin often goes to the village to take on quests, and a few adventurers happened to run into him while they were on their quests! Guess what happened?"

"What happened?"

"That respectable-looking guy, Elfin, actually goes around seducing ordinary girls from other villages, using his face to swindle and cheat them. He's truly shameless!"

"Damn, that's true. Going to a brothel is one thing, but hooking up with ordinary girls is just awful!"

Finita, who was listening intently, was completely stunned. This content was obviously very shocking for a girl who was inexperienced in the ways of the world.

However, Finita was not surprised, as her sister had warned her that there were many vulgar people among the adventurers.

After listening to all this information, Loran came to the conclusion that Elfin seemed to be a lecherous old man.

Among the elves, a race with low desires, he was a refreshing and unconventional being. While others were indifferent to emotions, he was burning with desire.

Elfin didn't stay in the tavern for long. After having a few drinks with his teammates, he left.

Perhaps the bar owner only offered this long advertising period as a fee for the promotion.

As he was leaving, Elfin passed by Loran. Loran hadn't intended to pay him any attention, but Elfin turned around and looked at Loran.

The two locked eyes, and Erfin gave a sinister smile before leaving the tavern.

Loran felt a chill run down his spine. Sure enough, his seemingly peaceful life was being watched by many eyes, and Elfin in front of him was one of them.

But this guy, like that headless monster, doesn't seem to have a strong desire to kill me, at least not right now...

Loran didn't know their purpose, nor did he know what he meant to Elfin or that monster.

"Loran, Elfin seemed to have turned around and looked at you just now. Do you know him?" Finita asked curiously.

Loran shook his head. "I don't know him. He probably just thinks I'm good-looking."

"Haha, that's very possible! Because I think so too!"

Loran paused, looking at Finita with her genuine smile, and smiled happily. She really was a lovable girl.

"Boss, give me a few of the signature desserts I just served those people!" Loran waved his hand.

Upon hearing Loran's words, the adventurers' curiosity was piqued. What exactly did this snack, which the Elfin team had given such high praise to, taste like? They were very curious too!

They started placing orders one after another, "Boss, I'll also take a few of your signature dim sum!"

"I'll try it too! Let's see if it's really that good!"

Meanwhile, some regular customers who had dined at this tavern said that the food was indeed quite good and worth trying.

The owner's smile broadened; sure enough, inviting a popular adventurer like Elfin to stroll around would boost his tavern's business.

"Alright everyone, please wait a moment!"

Finita was taken aback and asked curiously, "Didn't you say that location is the most important thing when coming to a tavern? Why did you order a dessert again?"

"Hmm... This dessert received high praise from the Elfin Squad, so I'm going to test the veracity of their words!" Loran said naturally.

"I see! I've learned something new!" Finita said with a look of sudden realization.

The owner served up some delicate little snacks, which were probably high-quality dough wrapped with some jam and seasonings, but they didn't seem to be anything special.

"Hey, eat up." Loran handed the snacks to Finita.

Finita happily accepted the snack. "Thank you, Loran!"

"It's alright." It was rare for Loran to be so generous. Although these few snacks weren't actually that expensive, it was still a token of her appreciation.

Loran took a bite of the pastry and her eyes lit up. This pastry must have been made using the Focused Cooking technique; compared to ordinary bread, it really did taste quite delicious.

With the addition of this concoction of jam, the tavern's dishes are actually quite good. It seems that hiring the Elfin team to promote the business was not a problem, and there was no false advertising.

"It's delicious! I must bring my sister to try it next time! She works so hard every day to pay for my tuition, but she's so strict with herself and won't even eat anything delicious."

When Loran heard Finita say this, he chuckled and said, "Don't wait until next time. You can take it back for your sister to try today. I'll buy you a few more. These aren't expensive."

"Really?! Thank you so much!" Finita happily gave Loran a big hug.

Loran was visibly startled when he felt Finita nestled in his arms. Oh no, this move seems to have been learned from Lin Wen!
