Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 081: A Large Amount of Wealth

"Spiritual vision!" Loran touched the iron cage, and his consciousness instantly dissipated, transporting him to another ethereal world.

"Kobolds...goblins...monsters all have their own weaknesses...but no one has discovered their...strengths. If only we could...#)*~~"

"Karot, Feuer... this is entrusted to you. Your tribe will be great again!"

From the perspective of someone trapped in a cage, Loran heard a leisurely echoing sound. He saw two dark figures, one tall and terrifying, the other short and imposing...

But he had no way of knowing anything more; his head was already starting to spin.

He used his spiritual vision to safely exit the state on his own initiative for the first time, but he was already covered in sweat.

"The effect of the spiritual vision is so powerful..." Loran thought to himself. He hadn't seen much information, but he had already gleaned some clues from what he heard.

This conversation took place between one creature and two other creatures, using the goblin language, which Loran was able to understand.

Is this some kind of internal goblin discussion or recollection? Are Carrot and Feu the names of two high-ranking goblin leaders?

But what's the deal with these two tribes? The guy who spoke seemed to be speaking in a superior position...

Regardless, the content of this conversation couldn't possibly be good; it might even be related to the recent spate of monster attacks...

Before Loran could think any further, his teammates' voices rang out.

"Oh no, I can faintly hear noises coming from deeper into the cave. The kobolds' caves are interconnected, and this might just be one of their strongholds. I think we should retreat!" Noah said to the others.

No one coveted the treasures anymore; preserving their lives was the most important thing. The sharp teeth of the ten burly kobold guards and the various gems were enough to serve as valid evidence that they had completed their mission.

The front section of the kobold cave was completely wiped out by them, and the kobolds will need some time to recover their workforce, at least for a while.

Loran and his group retreated to the ambush chamber passage, where many kobold corpses remained unlooted.

"Let's loot for a little longer, until we can hear noise again before we leave. Brian and I will keep watch," Noah said.

Adventurers naturally want to maximize their profits. They're leaving the most dangerous supply chambers, so they should take as much loot as they can from the passageway they came from.

Loran squeezed into the narrow passage and reached out to touch the kobold's corpse, activating his Cloud-Searching Hand technique.

The copper coins left on the kobolds surged into Loran's hand like a tide, and he pocketed them all.

Then collect as many kobold fangs as possible; each additional fang adds to the money.

Fortunately, Noah and Brian didn't hear any noise, which meant they still had time. Once they could hear some sounds, they quickly organized a continued retreat.

The retreat took us through a passage filled with traps set by the kobolds, where there was also a treasure chest filled with copper coins and some silver coins.

Although the kobolds are skilled at setting traps, they actually stuff things inside; they don't leave any room for adventurers to play tricks. The coins in this box are all genuine.

Noah bypassed the spike trap in front of the box, picked it up and carried it away. It was heavy and solid, and he had no idea how many copper coins were inside.

Without further delay, the group quickly left the kobold's cave and saw the light again.

Without stopping, they hurried towards Daotian Village. Once they reached the village, they would be safe.

Nothing unexpected happened on the way, and the group returned to Daotian Village safely. Many passing merchants were dumbfounded when they saw the large and small bags that Loran and his companions were carrying.

What were those adventurers doing? Did they raid the knight's house? There's so much stuff!

As the saying goes, one should not flaunt one's wealth. Loran also wanted to keep a low profile, but his strength did not allow it. There was nothing like a spatial ring in this world, so he had to put everything he got in his bag or throw it in a sack.

They've raided a kobold cave; it'll be hard for them to leave empty-handed!

Loran finally understood why the Kobold Cave was much more difficult than the Goblin Camp, yet the quest reward wasn't as high.

That's because the information about this mission itself is invaluable. As long as the kobolds are eliminated, the additional rewards will be substantial.

The return of Loran and his companions naturally attracted the attention of Knight Com, who hurriedly went to greet them.

"Brave adventurers, you did it! Welcome back!" Com greeted them warmly, while having several guards escort Loran and his companions.

To prevent unscrupulous individuals from taking advantage of the adventures of Loran and his companions.

Of course, the probability of such a thing happening is very small, but it still shows a warm attitude.

Com invited the group to his large house and had the butler help Loran and his companions sort through their spoils.

What intrigues people the most is the treasure chest Noah took away before leaving—how many copper coins were inside?

The silver coins scattered above the treasure chest are easy to count; there are a total of 30 silver coins, which are used as bait to lure adventurers.

Based on the butler's estimation of the weight, it was then estimated that the treasure chest contained approximately 1 copper coins, or 100 silver coins.

I wonder where these kobolds got so many copper coins. Maybe some unlucky merchant got robbed? Or maybe they stole from the treasury?

That remains to be seen, but in any case, all this money will end up in the pockets of Loran and his group.

These are the assets on paper. In addition, there are kobold teeth. The group collected a total of 40 kobold main teeth, each tooth worth 50 copper coins, which is equivalent to 20 silver coins.

These actual amounts of money will be included in the Dog Dagger Squad's revenue sharing system.

The remaining items were of uncertain value, namely gemstones; everyone carried many gemstones with them.

After discussion, it was decided that since everyone owns this item, there would be no need for unified distribution; each person could simply keep it safe.

Watching the Dog Dagger Squad members having such a lively discussion, Com was filled with emotion. These adventurers were truly a lovely bunch.

"Could you tell me the specific details of the kobold's lair? Also, is this cave connected to other kobold caves?" Com asked while writing the adventure certificate.

Lin Wen pondered for a moment upon hearing this, then became serious and said earnestly, "Knight Com, these kobolds will return one day in the future. We heard some noise not long after we wiped them out, so it must be their reinforcements."

"This also means that the cave leads to other places, and the mountain where the cave is located is very large, allowing them to be dug deeper and connect to other kobold caves, which is basically confirmed."
