Archer's Adventure Manual

Chapter 093: Arrival in Hama Town

A low, muffled groan echoed in the air.

An angry wild boar charged toward Loran and his companions, but the boar didn't seem to have anything special about it.

Noah easily knocked him unconscious with a single steel slash.

"Oh, and there was an unexpected bonus. Ever since my last experience, I've had a lingering fear of wild boars, but this one has restored my confidence," Noah said, somewhat surprised.

When Loran saw the wild boar ahead, an idea suddenly popped into his head. He had practiced the skill of "Focus on Cooking" in his dream, and now he could put it to good use.

Everyone was exhausted after a long night and hadn't had time to replenish their fat reserves, so this wild boar was a really good option!

"Hey, we can make a roasted wild boar!" Loran excitedly ran forward to check on the wild boar.

But when Loran saw the wild boar in front of him, he frowned, because this wild boar looked somewhat different from ordinary wild boars...

Seeing Loran's stunned expression, Lin Wen and Noah also curiously stepped forward to take a look, and both showed surprised expressions.

"What is this? Why does a wild boar have such small wings on its back? These must be the wings of some kind of bird, right?" Lin Wen asked in surprise.

Indeed, after everyone got closer to observe it carefully, they discovered that the wild boar actually had a pair of bird wings on its back.

Although the bird's wings were completely mismatched with the wild boar's size, after Loran's repeated confirmation, he was certain that the wings were actually growing on the wild boar's body, rather than being glued on or inserted into it.

"How is this possible? This doesn't make sense..." Finita muttered to herself.

Noah cautioned, "We experienced something illogical just the night before."

Everyone suddenly realized, yes, it was the monster they fought last night! Did those creatures that looked like both kobolds and goblins make sense?

"Could this wild boar be related to those monsters?" Loran uttered this startling deduction.

Suddenly, the fragrant and tender wild boar in front of them no longer tasted appetizing. They dared not eat this bizarre wild boar, which might have been fused with some kind of monster.

Noah agreed, "It should be. Those monsters are capable of breeding monsters like the Dog-Headed Forest, so they must have done a lot of experiments. This wild boar may be a victim of one of those experiments."

"Let's hurry up and leave. We probably can't eat this wild boar anymore. It's neither a pig nor a bird, what if it has some evil stuff in it..." Lin Wen shuddered.

The group quickened their pace.

Finita also said with concern, "Our Rockfall Town is so far away, we certainly don't know anything about the situation here. This premeditated attack on the village was probably planned a long time ago."

"Is Hama Town really safe now?"

Lin Wen also felt a chill run down his spine. In the terrible racial war, ordinary adventurers like them were as insignificant as ants.

Lorraine said helplessly, "Whether it's safe or not, we must get there first to replenish our supplies and get a wagon. Otherwise, walking back would be even more dangerous, and our food supplies won't be enough to support us."

"Yes...that's true, we have no choice."

Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened on the way, and after several twists and turns, the group finally arrived at Hama Town.

The town of Hamuo got its name because it is located near a large river, which is rich in aquatic products.

Before even entering Hamo Town, Loran and his companions saw many small fishing boats on the riverbank and large pieces of clam shells drying on the shore.

A watery, earthy smell wafted over, accompanied by the gentle murmur of flowing water.

"We've arrived! It seems the effects of those monsters haven't reached here." Lin Wen breathed a sigh of relief. The hardships they had endured along the way had left them exhausted, and now they could finally catch their breath.

"Let's go in!"

Hamo Town is much larger than Luoyan Town because it is backed by a huge freshwater river, which makes their products and trade very developed.

The lords here are also very willing to spend money to make Clam Town beautiful, striving to one day reach the size of the capital.

As you enter the town, you are greeted by all kinds of stalls, displaying various aquatic products such as dried fish, river clams, and snails.

The number of merchants and adventurers here is several times that of Rice Paddy Village, and Loran's adventurer team is inconspicuous in the bustling crowd.

There are adventurers' guilds here, but unfortunately the registered adventurer data is not synchronized. Only the adventurers' guilds in the capital city use magical communication methods to synchronize the adventurers' information.

However, as long as Loran and his companions possessed adventurer credentials, they could still pass the verification process, as the Adventurer's Guild had its own set of anti-counterfeiting measures, making the credentials quite authoritative.

"How much money do you have on you right now?" Lin Wen asked hesitantly. "Most of my silver coins are stored at the Adventurers' Guild Trading Company in Rockfall Town... I didn't bring much with me."

Noah scratched his head. "I also deposited some at the trading post. If I want to get them, I'll have to go back to Rockfall Town... But I still have the silver coins we got in the cave. The copper coins are too heavy, so I didn't bring them with me. I have 30 silver coins!"

"I haven't deposited any in the merchant guild, but I don't have many silver coins at all," Loran said with a wry smile. The expenses for archers were still too high, and they also faced the predicament of running out of arrows.

"30 silver coins! Plus the 20 silver coins I have with me for my team's small amount of money, that's enough to cover our expenses for the next few days," Lin Wen said calmly.

"Hmm, where's Finita?"

"Oh, I only have a little. Most of my earnings went to my sister..." Finita said, looking down.

"Alright, the first thing we need to solve is the transportation problem, and the second is the combat strength. Noah's plate armor needs to be repaired, the greatsword needs maintenance, Loran's arrows need to be replenished, and Finita's magic props also need to be replenished. As for me, I need to sharpen my dagger and get a good night's sleep."

"Only after we've done all this can we be confident in facing any unexpected events that may occur at any time. Next, let's estimate the expenses and make specific allocations," Lin Wen said methodically.

"Loran, you can use your own silver coins to pay for some of the silver coins needed to make the arrows. We'll reimburse you with your payment when we get to Rockfall Town. How many more silver coins do you expect to need to replenish the arrows?" Lin Wen asked.

Loran thought for a moment and said seriously, "I have enough silver coins to replenish my arrows, so I don't need any."

"Hmm... alright! Next up is Noah. Your plate armor is badly damaged. How much will it cost to repair it...?"
