Chapter 126: Avoiding the Storm!
At this moment, Lena was still teaching her students. Although it was bustling outside, she knew that everyone had their own tasks to complete.
Her mission is to fulfill the adventurous dreams of the students before her.
Just as she was giving her instructions, Loran entered the training field. He approached Lena and hesitated before saying, "Instructor Lena, may I speak to you in private?"
Lena glanced at Loran curiously, then went to a corner of the training ground and asked, "Loran, is something the matter?"
"Teacher Lena, I feel that Rockfall is very unusual today. Mr. Mark Warren's wedding may not mean joy and celebration. On the contrary, it may very well mean disaster and danger."
"I know you're surprised to hear me say this, but please believe me, my adventurer party experienced the monster attack in Inada Village. If we hadn't been there in person, we probably wouldn't have known the extent of the horror!"
"So... I'd like to take you away from Rockfall Town for a while, to Plassen. Believe me, this won't be long. If Rockfall Town is safe and sound, we'll be able to return here soon, and you can continue to impart your knowledge!"
Loran explained in concise words.
After hearing this, Instructor Lena paused for a moment, then nodded slightly. "I understand what you mean. You're worried that Rockfall Town will be attacked by monsters, so you're concerned about my safety. Thank you, Loran. However, I have no intention of leaving Rockfall Town."
"This place holds so many memories for me, and..." Instructor Lena's gaze fell upon the trainees sweating profusely on the training field, "I can't just leave them here."
Loran hesitated. He wanted to say that he could take these people with him, but... was that realistic? There were too many students who had ties with Lena, and he and Finita were just one of them.
"Don't worry, Loran, I'll take good care of myself. I promise, when you come back next time, I'll still be able to teach you until you're better than me." Lena smiled.
Loran took a deep breath and could only nod in the end. "Instructor Lena, I'm leaving now. Take care!"
"Okay, goodbye."
Loran didn't linger for long and hurried toward Old Smith's blacksmith shop.
But the result was still the same. Old Mr. Smith would not leave his blacksmith shop. It was like his life. If the blacksmith shop was gone, he would lose his hope for life, and Lorraine could only give up.
Lorraine arrived at the stable, and everyone brought their relatives and friends there. Brian also brought Thompson and Juno there.
"Oh? You little ones want to go on a trip? Hmm, I like that." Mrs. Juno's tone was cheerful.
Thompson was vomiting and had diarrhea. He was very uncomfortable sitting on Brian's lap. This four-wheel drive dog-powered vehicle was torture for an old man like him who was not tall!
Ronnie, who came with Finita, was worried. She didn't understand what had happened, but it certainly didn't look like a good thing.
However, she still trusted her sister. After all, the town was indeed in a state of panic recently, and she felt that leaving Rockfall Town for a while was a good option.
Three carriages were arranged in total. The stable owner was naturally overjoyed with such a big business opportunity, his face beaming with happiness.
Lin Wen, of course, did not buy these carriages, but chose to rent them, paying a deposit. Although the deposit amount was quite large, it was still slightly more affordable than buying the carriages directly.
After all, the stable owner hadn't realized that the group intended to leave without returning the stable.
"Get on the bus, everyone! We're off!" Lin Wen directed the passengers methodically.
The first carriage: Lorraine, Thompson, Juno, and Brian.
The second carriage: Lin Wen, Finita, and Ronnie
The third carriage: Noah, Noah's uncle and aunt
The three carriages began to head towards the entrance of Luoyan Town.
The carriage arrived at the entrance to the town, where the guards stopped Loran and his companions at the front for questioning.
Then they encountered the same problem they had faced in Hama Town.
"As adventurers, leaving town in this dangerous situation without any quest assignment is extremely risky... I think what you need most right now is to calm down."
The guard looked at Loran and his group, then at the car behind them, and said with a serious expression.
He believed that this group of people had likely heard some rumors circulating in the town, so they chose a more radical approach, but such an approach could very well lead them into an abyss.
Without the town's protection, ordinary people would likely perish in the wilderness.
The initial intention of the guards was good, but for Loran at present, it has become somewhat troublesome.
Just as Lorraine was thinking of a solution, Mrs. Juno leaned out halfway, revealing her youthful face.
"We'd like to go out and have some fun, is that okay?"
The guard was taken aback. "Mrs. Juno? Oh, it's you! No problem! You can go now, but please be careful."
"Yes, thank you." Mrs. Juno smiled gently.
Lorraine and Brian stared at each other in disbelief. "Huh? It's that simple?"
Lin Wen and the others behind were also slightly taken aback, not expecting to get out so easily, which was certainly a good thing.
Three carriages headed toward Plasson, while the view of Rockfall became increasingly blurred.
The humid air always carried a sense of unease.
Meanwhile, the Rockfall Town performance was nearing its end, and the most important part was about to begin: Mark Warren and his wife were about to take the stage.
The nobles displayed a variety of magnificent ceremonies, showcasing their dignity and elegance to the fullest.
Mark and his wife slowly walked onto the grand carpet and headed towards the castle.
Although the weather wasn't as sunny as expected, it couldn't hide the love in the couple's eyes.
Mark's wife may have noticed some minor flaws in the jewelry he bought, but she didn't care because it was her husband's thoughtful gift.
As long as the intention is there, even if it's a flaw, so what?
Hand in hand, the two walked slowly into the hall that symbolized marriage, witnessed by many townspeople.
Although some of the townspeople were indeed dissatisfied with the exploitation they suffered at the hands of the nobles, they still sincerely offered their blessings when faced with something so wonderful.
However, some people thought differently. They wandered among the restless crowd, uttering disdainful words.
"There's no such thing as a perfect marriage. Behind their happiness are millions of unhappy families. How could such a 'perfect' marriage be built without the money they squeezed from them? It's utterly ridiculous!"
