Douluo Sharingan, I really didn't coerce Xiao Wu!
Chapter 95 Deception
Chapter 95 Deception
"Xiao Wu, where did you go?" Tang San hadn't gone far from the camp when he bumped into Xiao Wu, who was returning.
Xiao Wu avoided eye contact, not daring to look directly into the other person's eyes. The memory of her close encounter with Chen Xuan was still vivid, and she felt guilty for doing something to offend her third brother.
But soon, all her guilt vanished, because she remembered that Tang San had also betrayed her, passionately kissing Huo Wu of Blazing Fire Academy for more than two minutes.
"I...I went out to buy something..." Xiao Wu's eyes darted around; she rarely lied, and her words were extremely disjointed.
Tang San breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, finally putting his mind at ease.
Judging from the looks of it, Xiao Wu probably didn't come along and didn't see him and Huo Wu doing that absurd thing. Although it wasn't his choice, no one would believe it if he told them.
Therefore, he doesn't plan to tell Xiaowu, as it would likely affect their relationship.
"That's good. Go back and rest now. The list the teacher assigned is out, and it's your turn to go first," Tang San said, his worries gone.
However, little did he know that Xiao Wu had noticed all his subtle changes.
First she was betrayed, and now she has been deceived by the person she loves most, leaving her heartbroken and feeling extremely wronged.
"Okay, I understand." Xiao Wu said sadly.
"I need to go back to the academy. You go back first." Tang San nodded. He didn't notice Xiao Wu's unusual behavior; a hint of sadness had appeared deep in her eyes.
Little did he know that everything he and Huo Wu did, including their passionate kiss in the woods, had been witnessed by his beloved younger sister.
Originally, Xiao Wu still held onto a sliver of hope, thinking that her third brother wasn't that kind of person and must have been forced.
She had made up her mind. As long as her third brother didn't deceive her and sincerely told her the truth, she would choose to forgive him, pretend nothing had happened, and continue to love Tang San deeply.
Unfortunately, all of this was just her hope, her wishful thinking. The reality was not what she imagined at all; her third brother betrayed and deceived her.
If Tang San was forced to kiss Huo Wu, how could he not have dodged that kiss with his skills? Even if he didn't dodge it, why didn't he push her away immediately and continue kissing her for more than two minutes?
Xiao Wu tried to deceive herself, but her actions and attitudes proved that Tang San did it intentionally and did not dislike Huo Wu.
"Xiao Wu, then you should rest well and prepare for tomorrow's competition. I'm leaving now," Tang San instructed again, without offering any further explanation.
Xiao Wu's mind flashed with Chen Xuan's image, and she blurted out, "What about Chen Xuan?"
Upon hearing this name, Tang San frowned, a hint of killing intent flashing deep in his eyes, but he concealed it well.
"The teacher said that Chen Xuan was severely exhausted from today's competition, so he wasn't scheduled to play." Tang San's expression was calm, without any emotion on his face.
Xiao Wu remained silent, a hint of amusement in her eyes.
For some reason, she felt a sense of unfamiliarity and distance towards the current Tang San; he was no longer the Third Brother she knew.
After parting ways with Xiao Wu, Tang San headed to Shrek Academy. Before he had taken more than a few steps, he bumped into a disrespectful person whom he utterly despised.
Chen Xuan frowned slightly. He had just returned and encountered this mistress, who was giving him a sour look.
"It's like a persistent ghost."
Tang San snorted coldly, his face indifferent, and walked straight past him, ignoring him.
"Fried dough sticks, I guess." Chen Xuan said speechlessly.
Tang San walked away, not understanding what was being said. He wouldn't bother with someone who was disrespectful and arrogant.
"Are you competing tomorrow?" Chen Xuan walked over, his gaze falling on Xiao Wu, especially her stomach, which he couldn't help but notice.
"Hmm." Xiao Wu nodded, her expression somewhat indifferent, lacking much emotion.
Chen Xuan paused, hesitated for a moment, and then continued, "Can I not go to the competition?"
The moment he said those words, he immediately regretted it. Their relationship was already strained; they were just teammates, and given his status, it was completely inappropriate for him to say such a thing.
"Is there anything else? If not, I'll head back first." Sure enough, Xiao Wu's expression turned even colder, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense.
"That's all." Chen Xuan's heart sank, but he still forced himself to finish the last sentence.
"Then be careful not to hurt yourself."
Xiao Wu didn't linger any longer, turned around and left without waiting for a moment, leaving behind only a cold and indifferent back view.
Watching the other person disappear from sight, Chen Xuan was filled with mixed emotions, feeling both helpless and pathetic. He never imagined that one day he would have to be a simp.
"It's been about two months since that day," he muttered to himself, looking up at the dim sky.
Since Xiaowu was unwilling to tell him the truth, he wouldn't take the initiative to expose her, but he still had to do what needed to be done, at the very least to prevent her from getting hurt.
As night fell, Chen Xuan returned to the Shrek Academy's base without disturbing the others, and went back to his residence.
……
Nothing was said that night. Day and night passed in a blur. The sun rose, and before we knew it, it was the second day.
At dawn, Grandmaster Yu Xiaogang led the Shrek team to the Tiandou competition area.
Liu Erlong and Flander followed closely behind, but Qin Ming did not go with them. Instead, he returned to Shrek Academy, where teachers were needed to oversee the proceedings.
Chen Xuan had already gotten up and walked out of his residence. The huge Shrek camp was empty, leaving only him wandering around the camp.
The other colleges' camps were also deserted; everyone had gone to the competition area, and very few people remained at the camps.
Yu Xiaogang's plan was put into action. He accused him of severely depleting his soul power and told him to rest well for the next two days and not to prepare for battle.
It was said to be two days, but it was actually longer. Chen Xuan knew that he probably wouldn't have a chance in the subsequent matches, not only the qualifying matches, but also the elimination matches after going to the Spirit Hall.
Given Yu Xiaogang's style, he will surely nip any potential threats in the bud, giving them no chance to make a comeback.
Chen Xuan shook his head at Flander, not knowing what to say. As the dean, he had very little say.
But on second thought, it's understandable. After all, the academy belongs to Liu Erlong, and this woman deeply loves Yu Xiaogang, so she definitely wouldn't side with him.
There was nothing he could do about it. He closed down the original Shrek Academy, followed Yu Xiaogang to join the Heaven Dou Royal Academy, and was eventually kicked out. In a sense, he brought it on himself.
Currently, Shrek Academy is dominated by Yu Xiaogang, and Chen Xuan feels that the chances of him participating in the next battle are very, very small, and there is no suspense.
Unless, Yu Xiaogang is dead.
"Let's familiarize ourselves with the external environment of Tian Dou first."
Chen Xuan muttered to himself as he left the Shrek camp, preparing to venture out of Tiandou City to explore the surrounding terrain.
Shortly after he left the camp, he encountered a man who claimed to be a nobleman.
"Brother Chen, where are you in such a hurry?" The man was middle-aged with short, stiff hair that stood on end, giving him the appearance of someone who was not easy to talk to.
He wore a long, golden robe made of fine silk and inlaid with a row of sparkling gems.
"Brother Chen, would you do me the honor of entering the palace for a chat?" the richly dressed man asked, introducing himself as a prince from the Heavenly Dou Imperial Palace.
Chen Xuan's eyes lit up. It seemed that yesterday's competition had had some effect, as people were starting to come knocking on his door.
