Chapter 11 Warcraft: The Seven-Headed Demon Goat

Chapter 11 Warcraft: The Seven-Headed Demon Goat

"roar!"

Just a few kilometers away from Richard, a bizarre-looking monster was chasing a group of wizard apprentices.

"What the hell is that?!" a wizard apprentice shouted in panic. He had been resting peacefully in the woods when he suddenly saw a group of people approaching him, followed by a monster.

"Are you an idiot? This is the monster the academy put in the examination hall!" an apprentice roared in response.

Before they became apprentices, the word "Warcraft" was merely a legendary term.

Legend has it that all sorts of monsters committed heinous crimes and killed countless people, but in the end they were all slain by knights and became the spoils of war for heroes.

But when these monsters actually stepped out of the legends, people realized how ridiculous the legends were.

This fleshy monster, with a shoulder height of over two meters, a body length of over four meters, seven heads, and eight legs, could kill a squad of knights simply by its weight and acceleration.

What's even more terrifying is that, apart from the central ram's head, the other six of the monster's seven heads were sewn together by someone.

It is still a man-made monster.

The stitched-up heads roared wildly on the surrounding bodies, spewing acid and flames, and occasionally lowering their heads to swallow any apprentices that approached.

Apprentices occasionally cast spells, but some of these spells lost their aim due to panic, while others were so weak that they could only leave a fleeting wound on the monster.

Limbs severed, blood stained, screams and howls filled the air.

The entire forest seemed like a scene from hell.

……

Inside the central black tower of the Black Tower Wizarding Academy, two wizards were staring at the crystal ball before them.

The crystal ball was broadcasting live the scene of the seven demon sheep wreaking havoc.

"Vice Dean, the magical beasts released this time were quite effective, weren't they? I made all of these myself, so the quality is absolutely guaranteed," a wizard said proudly.

On one side of the crystal ball, Alex, one of the entrance exam examiners, raised his head upon hearing this and adjusted his glasses:

"Jorod, did you make this yourself? You lazy bum, you'd actually make something like this?"

The wizard known as Jorod froze upon hearing this.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Alex looked at Jorod with a smile. "As long as you can produce evidence that this isn't your apprentice's work, I'll be your pawn in the next interdimensional war."

"If a third-ring wizard becomes your pawn, I guarantee you'll make a fortune in the next war."

"Ahem, Dean, let's watch Warcraft instead." Jord coughed twice, casually changing the subject.

"Speaking of which, why did the dean suddenly decide to change the exams this year? Although we suffered a loss last time, we gained enough. There's no need to rush to recruit more wizards."

Vice Dean Alex shook his head: "I don't know either."

Although he was the dean's deputy, he disagreed with the dean on this matter. The Black Tower Wizarding Academy's graduation standard was to have fewer but better graduates; the elite status of wizards was the fundamental strategy that enabled the Black Tower Wizarding Academy, a new academy established for less than an era, to gain a foothold and develop rapidly.

"But since the Dean did this, he must have his reasons. He is a Grand Wizard of the Fourth Ring and can directly receive messages from the Council of Truth."

We little wizards just need to quietly obey his will.

……

As the roar of the beast drew closer, Richard's meditation plan was completely ruined.

He climbed a tall tree, hoping to use the moonlight to see what was happening in the distance. But before he could reach the top, a dazzling flash of light erupted from the nearby forest.

boom!

The deafening roar was so loud that even Richard, hundreds of meters away, found it deafening.

"It seems someone used a powerful magical artifact; that monster should be dealt with."

Richard jumped down from the tree, wanting to continue meditating.

But it seemed that fate was against him today. Not long after he jumped down from the tree, that hellish, hungry ghost-like roar rang out again.

And it sounds like it's getting closer and closer to him.

"I can't even have some peace and quiet."

Richard frowned and immediately cast Lightness and Silence spells on himself.

The silence spell wasn't very useful to Richard during the day, but in the dim light of the night, this zero-ring spell was practically invisible.

Once the spell was cast, Richard hid in a bush.

He had no intention of trying to salvage the situation. Although the magical beast had been injured by a magical item, there were still some survivors in the wrecked ship. As long as he played it safe, he could definitely pass the entrance exam. There was no need to risk everything for a magical item.

boom!boom!boom!boom!

The sound of the monster grew closer, and its heavy footsteps only strengthened Richard's resolve to hide.

This looks like a huge beast; if he doesn't kill it in one hit, he'll be in big trouble.

"roar!"

The seven-headed demon sheep burst out of the forest. Its body, which originally had seven heads, now only had three heads. The other four heads looked as if they had been blown up by a bomb, with charred wounds.

"Is this the monster? It looks like an experimental subject."

As he examined the thick stitches beneath the seven demonic ram heads, a guess flashed through his mind.

This monster might just be an experiment of some wizard, or even an experiment of some wizard's apprentice!

If this thing was made by a person, could he extract the process of creating the monster by refining it using the Miracle Forge?

If he could, could he also create such a magical beast?

A burning greed flashed through Richard's mind, but his reason stopped him instantly.

"There's no need to cause trouble. Let's pass the exam first."

Richard suppressed his greed, wanting to wait for the monster to leave. But at that moment, one of the wolf's heads among the remaining three heads of the demon sheep suddenly twitched twice.

A wolf's sense of smell is hundreds of thousands of times stronger than a human's. Even in the primeval forest where smells are mixed, Richard's human scent was as clear as the sun.

"Awoo."

The wolf let out a howl, straining to turn its head toward Richard.

"We've been discovered!"

Richard's heart tightened, and he immediately took out a complete magic stone to replace the magic stone on the ice cone ring.

The magic stone on the ring was only one-fifth of what it had been used by its previous owner, and this monster was not something that could be dealt with by a single ice spike.

dong dong dong dong!

Upon discovering human tracks, the seven demon sheep immediately rushed towards Richard; human flesh and blood were the most delicious food and the most effective medicine to him.

The demon sheep galloped forward.

Its hooves are as big as bowls, its roar is like thunder, earth, stones and grass fly under its hooves, and withered branches and fallen leaves dance in the wind as it roars.

It is like the mythical eight-legged celestial horse, unstoppable and invincible.

But with a loud "boom," the demon sheep suddenly lost its balance and fell headlong to the ground. Its massive body plowed a clearing in the ground like a bulldozer.

Two ice spikes, each a meter long and as thick as an arm, actually managed to sever its two front legs.

bang bang bang...

Richard clutched his chest; his heart pounded like a drum under the influence of adrenaline, and his blood surged through his veins like a torrent.

If he had been even a second slower, he would be dead in the mouth of the demon sheep right now.

This was a heavily injured monster; Richard couldn't imagine how terrifying it would be if it weren't so badly injured.

Richard steadied himself and fired another ice spike, splitting open the head of the demon sheep that was trying to stand up—the only part of its head that wasn't stitched.

The demon sheep twitched for a while, then finally returned to calm.

"Finally dead."

Richard carefully stepped forward and, after confirming that the demon sheep was completely dead, placed his hand on it.

But the result was very disappointing.

The Miracle Forge showed no reaction whatsoever to the monster.

"Am I wrong?"

Richard frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, then drew the magic dagger from his waist and disemboweled the demon sheep.

With the magic's enhancement, the dagger could cut through iron like mud, and Richard felt no resistance whatsoever as he ripped open Richard's abdomen.

As the demon sheep's belly was ripped open, a pool of foul-smelling blood immediately flowed out.

The organs and glands inside the demon sheep's body are rotting at a rate visible to the naked eye.

He examined the thick, black, foul-smelling blood and, with a heavy heart, began to rummage inside the demon sheep's belly without a second thought.

When he touched something that was still pulsating, the Miracle Furnace finally trembled.
