Wizard: I can refine all things.

Chapter 24 Demonic Armor: The Pale Mask

Chapter 24 Demonic Armor: The Pale Mask (Please continue reading)

Richard took the crystal ball and, after examining it with his mental power, discovered a design drawing inside.

This is a design sketch for a magical costume called Pale Mask.

Looking at the notes in his hand, George R.R. said calmly, "Make this and give it to me."

I'll give you three months.

If you can't do it after three months, then it means you're not that talented.

After saying that, Jord glanced at Richard.

Did you understand?

Richard nodded. "I understand, Master Jorlord."

"Then let's go back. I still have experiments to do."

Jord waved his hand, and Richard and Anna quietly slipped out.

After leaving the house, Richard patted his chest.

"Is this what a wizard is like? The way he looked at me, it felt like he saw right through me."

Anna rolled her eyes at him.

"It's not that scary. Your mentor has even reduced the life radiation because you're a junior apprentice. Go back and focus on making your magic armor. Masks aren't hard to make. I'll be waiting for your news in three months."

After saying that, Anna took long strides and stepped over the stair railing, falling down as if in freefall.

"Wow, having levitation is impressive. But I feel like something's missing?"

Richard stroked his chin, then suddenly went to the handrail and shouted at Anna.

"Senior, you haven't paid yet!"

……

After Richard settled the score with Anna, because his red mercury was of extremely high purity and they might become fellow disciples in the future, Anna gave him an extra ten magic stones and asked him to refine another batch of red mercury for her after he finished making the magic armor.

Richard could only say that they would definitely cooperate in the future.

Looking at the 110 magic stones in his pocket, Richard couldn't help but sigh, "Anna is really a rich woman."

He gave away over a hundred magic stones without even blinking.

"I'm rich, I'm rich. I'll pay Ellie back first." Richard counted the magic stones in the bag. He had been engrossed in the library lately and had spent all his magic stones. He even borrowed money from Ellie to buy bloodline alchemy materials.

"After exchanging the money, let's go to the commercial district and collect the materials for making the magic armor. We'll start making it as soon as possible!" Richard said, pumping his fist with enthusiasm.

Back in his dorm, Richard knocked on the door of the room next door.

dong dong dong.

"Who?"

"it's me."

Click.

Ellie, wearing a light nightgown, opened the door with sleepy eyes.

"Richard, what's wrong?" Ellie rubbed her eyes, her thin nightgown revealing a large expanse of skin as she moved.

"It's nothing, I'm just here to return the magic stones."

Richard, without looking to the side, handed Ellie a bag of magic stones.

"Five magic stones, take a look."

Ellie casually tossed the bag behind her without even glancing at it.

"What are you looking at? You think you can trick me? Come in and have a seat. I recently bought a can of Green's black tea from the shopping district."

"I'm not sitting here anymore. I just found a mentor, and he assigned me a task."

Richard gave a vague reply and turned to leave.

"You met that woman named Anna?"

"Hmm?" Richard turned around. "How did you know?"

"The scent, she smelled that way when she was in class that day," Ellie said casually.

Richard sniffed himself and indeed smelled a subtle fragrance that was very similar to the scent of mercury.

"Amazing, you can even smell that."

Richard gave a thumbs-up, then waved and strode away.

Ellie watched Richard's retreating figure and slammed the door shut.

Standing behind the door, her cheeks were flushed, yet she was also somewhat annoyed.

"He won't even come in! Is his heart made of stone?!"

Somewhat annoyed, Ellie stomped her foot hard, then lay down on the bed in a huff, picking up "The Wizarding World Chronicles" that she had borrowed from the library.

"Alas, knowledge, you are the true enchantress. So many people are captivated by you, spending their entire lives chasing after you just to catch a glimpse of the tip of your iceberg."

How could I possibly win against an opponent like you?

Upon arriving in the commercial district, Richard began searching for suitable materials based on the design drawings.

"Inferior Wind Pattern Stone, Sticky Mushroom, Black Mercury, Poisonous Bauhinia Ink, Ten-Year-Old Enchanted Wood..."

After wandering around the commercial district for half a day, Richard finally gathered most of the materials needed to make the Pale Mask, which cost him a total of 3,500 Academy Coins, equivalent to 35 Magic Stones.

"We're still missing one: the skull of a black-striped water python."

He looked at the last item on the materials list; he had visited more than a dozen shops but couldn't find this material.

"The skull of a black-striped water python? We don't have that here." The shop assistant shook his head.

Richard sighed upon hearing this; this was the last alchemy shop in the commercial district.

"Where can we get this?" Richard asked with a smile, slipping ten Academy Coins into the clerk's hand. Once the clerk was sure no one was watching, his smile became much more genuine.

"The Black-striped Water Python has a habitat in the Blackrock Mountains. If you are in a hurry, you can go and hunt it yourself. This kind of magical beast is not difficult for low-level apprentices to kill. Alternatively, if you really want to go there, you can check the Academy Missions section to see if there are any missions to patrol the Blackrock Mountains. Academy missions allow you to ride the Academy's airship for free, saving you an airship ticket."

"Blackrock Mountains, thank you for the guidance."

Richard pondered for a moment and decided to follow the shop assistant's suggestion to check out the mission hall.

The mission hall was bustling with people. Richard searched the mission list for a long time and finally found a mission in the Academy missions to inspect the survival status of the White Crystal Deer in the Blackrock Mountains.

Richard walked to the counter to receive the task.

"I'm sorry, but due to the dangerous nature of the mission, low-level and beginner apprentices need two or more people to take it on," the wizard apprentice behind the counter said, looking at the crystal ball.

"Do we need to team up? This is going to be a bit of a hassle." Richard frowned.

After Richard arrived at the college, his daily life could even be described as reclusive. He spent his time either in the library or his dormitory, and he had no social interactions with anyone except Ellie.

Richard rubbed his temples, feeling a bit of a headache.

"Shall we team up with Ellie?"

Just as he was having a headache, a voice suddenly came from behind him.

"Hey buddy. Want to team up?"

Richard turned around and saw a fat man in a wizard's robe looking at him. The fat man looked honest and kind, and his eyes revealed sincerity.

"Friend, want to team up? I'm Loken, looking for someone to team up with for Blackrock Mountain."

Richard turned to look at the teller. He had just asked if he could take on the task when someone else came to ask him.

This is too much of a coincidence.

The clerk glanced at Richard: "It's common for junior apprentices to form temporary teams in the lobby. Don't make a fuss about it."

"Sorry, I already have teammates."

Richard smiled apologetically at Locke and turned to leave.

Going on a mission in the wilderness with a complete stranger seems too dangerous to me.

Back in the dorm, Richard knocked on Ellie's door again.

"Richard, what is it now?" Ellie opened the door, her expression somewhat subtle.

Has this piece of wood come to its senses?

"Um..." Richard looked at Ellie, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "I saw a quest in the quest lobby that requires a team. Are you free lately?"

"Ooooooooo!"

Ellie was overjoyed inside, but her expression remained calm.

"When you have time, how will the payment be split?"

"Three hundred academy coins, split in half."

Richard's main task is to hunt down the Black-striped Water Python; he's not too interested in the magic stones from the academy missions right now.

"Okay, I promise. Let me change my clothes."
