Journey to the West: Upon seeing the Yellow-Eyebrowed Demon, why not pay homage?

Chapter 12: Guanyin's Right Attendant, Sudhana and the Dragon Girl!

"What is it?" Huang Mei asked curiously.

Bai Susu, who was standing to the side, was also surprised.

The reward given by the king is quite generous. Is the local earth god still not satisfied?

Under their gazes, the Earth God slowly raised his head: "I want to stay in Little Western Paradise!"

Bai Susu suddenly realized, and a hint of admiration appeared in her eyes as she looked at the other person.

Huang Mei smiled and asked, "Why?"

The Earth God pursed his lips and said sincerely, "This humble immortal is lowly, yet I have been enlightened and have a desire to improve myself."

He thought that by sheer luck, he had been given the job of feeding the Great Sage Iron Balls and Copper Juice, which would change his fate.

However, after Sanzang removed the golden talisman, the Five Directions Protectors flew away without hesitation, never once glancing at me, let alone pleading for my merit.

Perhaps, the Western Paradise doesn't even think I've done anything.

After all, it doesn't matter where I work as a landowner, and I'm only doing something as trivial as feeding animals.

But the king treated me differently; when the peach tree he planted bore fruit, he allowed me to eat it.

After I came to inform them of the situation, they were generous with their reward.

You are a good leader, so I want to follow you, strive for a bright future, and make a name for myself!

Listening to his heartfelt words, Huang Mei felt deeply moved, while Bai Susu was filled with pride.

How can it not be something to be proud of to be able to make a god bow down and believe that following him will lead to a bright future?

After a moment of reflection, Huang Mei personally helped the Earth God up and softly asked, "What's your name?"

The Earth God was overjoyed: "My real name is Xu Cheng... I first met you on Five Elements Mountain, which gave me the opportunity to change my fate today, so I want to give myself a Dharma name, Five Elements."

Huang Mei nodded slightly, then turned to Bai Susu: "Susu, take care of Wu Xing for a while and see what position he is suitable for."

"it is good."

Bai Susu smiled and turned around, saying, "Five Elements, come with me..."

at the same time.

The Western Paradise, the Great Thunder Temple.

Dressed in a white gauze gown, with unparalleled beauty and ethereal grace, Guanyin, holding a jade vase, slowly stepped into the golden hall, bowing respectfully: "Greetings, World Honored One."

At the end of the golden palace, in the center of the golden lotus.

The dignified Buddhist master, with a majestic appearance, radiating golden light like relics, and bearing forty-two white rainbows above his head, nodded slightly and asked with a smile, "Is everything arranged?"

Guanyin nodded: "It's all arranged. The ordinary horse fears Sun Wukong's fierce power and is not worth using, so Sanzang will obtain the white dragon horse at Eagle's Sorrow Stream in Snake Coil Mountain."

Beyond the Western Fanha Kingdom lies my Guanyin Zen Temple, where, given Jinchi's temperament, it will surely serve as a tempering and refinement…”

As he listened to her story, Buddha chuckled inwardly.

Indeed, everyone has selfish desires, and even Guanyin (the Bodhisattva of Compassion) is not immune to them.

Of all those arrangements, only the White Dragon Horse was placed in front of the Guanyin Temple.

In fact, if she weren't afraid of criticism, she probably would have arranged for all the white dragon horses to be placed behind the Guanyin Temple.

Its purpose, of course, is to accumulate merit for the sake of Heaven.

"World Honored One, I have heard that the Five Directional Protectors and the Earth Gods of the Five Elements Mountain did not receive any rewards?"

After briefly explaining the formation of the Journey to the West team, Guanyin suddenly changed the subject.

The Buddha calmly said, "The Five Directions Protectors are simply following orders and doing their duty. Why should they be rewarded?"

As for the local deity of Five Elements Mountain, needless to say, it is his honor to serve Buddhism; we should simply acknowledge his good deeds.

Guanyin: "..."

For some reason, the Buddha's attitude towards rewards and punishments is vastly different from that of his earlier years.

She vividly remembered that in earlier years, the Buddha was never stingy with his rewards, which is why Buddhism quickly developed and had three thousand Buddhas, five hundred Arhats, eight Vajras, and countless Bodhisattvas.

They even treated Xiniu Hezhou as their private domain, and the so-called monsters were nothing more than domesticated livestock.

As for punishing evil, there is no mercy; if there is any sin, it will be severely punished without any leniency.

However, as time went by, perhaps because of the large family and the scarcity of resources, the Buddha's rewards for the same merits became increasingly meager.

As if to make amends, the punishment for evil is no longer so harsh.

As far as she knew, there were rumors that the two Venerable Ones before the Buddha, Kasyapa and Ananda, had accepted bribes, but the Buddha always turned a blind eye...

"Is there anything else?"

While she was slightly distracted, Buddha suddenly asked.

Guanyin, as if waking from a dream, hurriedly said, "Indeed, there is something!"

"Please feel free to speak."

"While I was taking in the overall picture, I discovered an uncontrollable variable. It's like a drop of ink on a white dress, particularly glaring," Guanyin said, lowering her eyes.

The Buddha paused slightly, then asked, "You mean, the Lesser Western Paradise?"

Little Western Paradise is located in Xiniu Hezhou, which is under the control of Buddhism. As the supreme leader of Buddhism, even with his busy schedule, he would not be completely unaware of the development of Little Western Paradise over the past six hundred years.

"yes!"

Guanyin nodded and said, "Little Western Paradise is now strong and well-equipped, gradually becoming a rising star among the demon realms. Moreover, it happens to be located on the Journey to the West route..."

"I had already spoken with the Buddha of the East about this matter. His idea was that Yellow Eyebrows was meant to test Tang Sanzang and his disciples, and at the same time, he wanted to earn merit for the future of their lineage." The Buddha replied, "This request is not excessive, therefore, I could not refuse."

Although she had foreseen this outcome, Guanyin couldn't help but sigh softly, "I only worry about one thing: what if Sanzang and the others can't get through after reaching the Lesser Western Heaven?"

The Buddha said, "Spreading the scriptures is a great undertaking for Buddhism. The Buddha who came from the East would not be so foolish."

Guanyin, however, had a different view: "Spreading the scriptures is a grand plan for the present Buddhist lineage, not for the entire Buddhist community."

Moreover, raising a tiger is a dangerous thing. If Donglai Buddha were to make up his mind to sacrifice Huangmei and let Huangmei perish with Sanzang, the consequences would be unimaginable for us.

After all, Little Western Paradise was located in the heart of Xiniu Hezhou, and by the time Sanzang arrived there, he had already covered most of the journey.

After pondering for a moment, the Buddha said, "You handle this yourself, just don't let the Buddha from the East use this as an excuse to cause trouble."

Guanyin breathed a sigh of relief: "Thank you, World Honored One."

Only after hearing the Buddha's words was she able to make her move against Huang Mei.

Even if they still can't resort to underhanded tactics, they can still put up a fight...

half an hour.

Guanyin Bodhisattva returned to the Purple Bamboo Grove and used her magic to summon her right attendant, the Dragon Girl Sudhana.

She had two attendants, Huian Xingzhe Muzha and Sudhana Longnu holding a pearl.

Mu Zha, needless to say, is one of the four heroes of the Li family.

Pengzhu is no weaker than Muzha, and may even be stronger.

In terms of lineage, Pengzhu is the daughter of the Naga King Sagara;

In terms of spiritual cultivation, Pengzhu attained Buddhahood in his physical body at the age of eight, becoming the youngest spiritual Buddha of Mount Ling.

Logically speaking, Lingshan should have arranged a high position and a residence for her, but no one expected that she would give up such a high position and come to be his maid.

At that time, this event shook the entire Vulture Peak and greatly enhanced his reputation within the Buddhist lineage, firmly surpassing the other Bodhisattvas and making him the one in charge of the journey to the West...
