Journey to the West: Upon seeing the Yellow-Eyebrowed Demon, why not pay homage?

Chapter 13: Yellow Eyebrows, could it be that you also have lofty ambitions?

"Holding the pearl, I pay homage to the Bodhisattva."

With a graceful figure, snow-white skin, and beautiful face, the dragon girl, who resembled an elf, stopped before the lotus platform and bowed in respect.

Guanyin gazed at the peerless maiden before her, who had once shaken Mount Ling, and said softly, "No need for formalities... Have you had any important matters to attend to recently?"

Holding the pearl, she silently straightened her body, shook her head, and said, "It's nothing urgent, please give your instructions, Bodhisattva."

Guanyin nodded: "Do you know Huang Mei?"

Holding the pearl, he pondered, "Could it be that Buddhist disciple who left the Maitreya Zen Temple?"

"Exactly."

Guanyin's expression suddenly became solemn: "Huang Mei stayed in the inner court of Tushita Heaven for three hundred years, not fitting in with the group, not causing trouble, and diligently cultivating. Could it be that he was just trying to steal a few treasures from the Buddha of the East?"

Therefore, this matter is by no means as simple as it appears on the surface; there must be a scheme hidden within it by Donglai Buddha.

There is a huge conflict of interest between the present and future branches of Buddhism, so we must oppose anything Maitreya wants to do.

We must stop him from doing anything he sets his mind to.

Only in this way can we ensure that the resources of the existing lineage remain unaffected.

The Dragon Girl clasped her hands together and asked softly, "What should I do?"

Guanyin slowly drew the willow branch from the jade bottle and presented it to the recipient in mid-air:

"As far as I know, Huang Mei took away Maitreya's three treasures: the Human Race Bag, the Bell Hammer, and the Golden Bowl."

Among them, the weakest is the chime mallet, and the strongest is the human race bag.

This bag is officially called the Acquired Humanity Bag. It is completely powerless against anything acquired after birth, whether it be humans, gods, immortals, demons, ghosts, or various magical artifacts and treasures. It is truly unsolvable.

To help you suppress him, I'll lend you this willow branch first; it's enough to block the human's absorption.

As for the golden bowl, as long as you are careful and don't fall for his tricks, it won't have too much of an impact on you.

The Dragon Girl of Good Fortune raised her hand to catch the willow branch, which shimmered with light and exuded a sacred aura, and asked softly, "Do you need me to kill him?"

Guanyin shook her head: "Fight without breaking."

Sudhana understood then, and immediately asked one last question: "Where is he now?"

On the westward journey.

Huang Mei rode on the clouds, carrying Bai Susu, swiftly passing countless desolate mountains, grasslands, and streams.

Before they knew it, they had arrived above a grove of camellia trees. Looking down, they saw Sun Wukong wearing a straight robe and a tiger-skin skirt, holding a golden cudgel. He caught up with six burly men and killed them one by one with his cudgel.

Not far away, a monk in white robes stared in astonishment, then frowned deeply, as if the six burly men were his acquaintances and friends.

"Master, please go. That gang of thieves has already been wiped out by me, Old Sun."

On the ground, after shaking off the bloodstains on his golden cudgel, Sun Wukong turned around with a smile.

Sanzang's expression was solemn, and he spoke in a lecturing tone:

"Although they are thugs, even if they are brought to justice, they should not be sentenced to death."

Even if you have the means, you could just drive them away. Why do you have to take their lives?

Have you not heard that monks sweeping the floor are afraid of harming even the lives of ants...?

Listening to his incessant lecturing, Sun Wukong couldn't help but retort, "Master, if I don't kill them, they'll kill you instead."

Sanzang raised his head slightly, appearing serene and upright: "I am a monk, I would rather die than commit murder; besides, even if I die, it will only be one of me, but you killed six of them..."

Faced with his endless accusations, Sun Wukong felt a surge of anger and was about to explode when he heard a shout from the sky: "Wukong~"

Turning around suddenly, he saw a cloud of auspicious clouds descending, and upon recognizing the master and servant on the cloud, his anger vanished, replaced by overwhelming joy: "Huang Mei, Su Su!"

Sanzang: "..."

Arriving on a cloud...

[Ding, the system has sensed that the host has intervened in the main storyline of the Journey to the West. The merit module is loading...]

[Content Details: The journey of the Tripitaka to the West and the eastward spread of Buddhism were both a Buddhist scheme and a manifestation of the natural order. Any action that aligns with this natural order will earn one merit from Heaven.]

Therefore, the Heavenly Court, the Taoist sect, the Buddhist sect, and various informed forces all got involved.

Heavenly merit is also one of the main energies for system upgrades, hence the system has a built-in merit module.

The host can use the Heavenly Merit gained during the Journey to the West Calamity to purchase needed items in the Merit Shop within the Merit Module, and exchange them for equivalent value...

Huang Mei was momentarily stunned as he looked at the lines of characters that suddenly appeared before his eyes.

He had thought that the system only had one small Leiyin Temple module, but he didn't expect there to be other modules, or even a system store!

Before he could ponder this further, Sun Wukong had already arrived in front of him, smiling as he asked, "What are you doing here?"

Huang Mei had no choice but to suppress the various thoughts in her mind and replied gently, "I was overjoyed to hear that you had escaped, so I rushed here to find you."

A warm feeling welled up in Sun Wukong's heart: "Thank you, thank you. By the way, I don't know where your Little Thunderclap Temple is. Now that you're here, please take me there so I can visit in the future."

Huang Mei glanced at Sanzang and hesitated, "This...isn't this inappropriate?"

"What's inappropriate about it?"

Sun Wukong followed his gaze and said with a grin, "Master, I'm going to visit my friend. You don't mind, do you?"

Sanzang had always disapproved of Sun Wukong's violent behavior, and upon hearing about the Little Thunderclap Temple, he immediately realized that the two were birds of a feather, and that they had found kindred spirits in a lowly place. So, with a blank expression, he said, "Go ahead and don't come back."

Sun Wukong waved his hand: "No, since I promised the Bodhisattva to protect you on your journey to the West, I must keep my word."

Without even lifting an eyelid, Sanzang said, "No need for further words, you may leave."

Sun Wukong immediately smiled and looked at Huang Mei: "Look, my master has agreed."

Huang Mei: "..."

However, due to Sun Wukong's insistence, he had no choice but to lead the other party to Little Western Paradise and directly into Little Thunder Temple.

Gazing at the troops constantly training in the mountains, Sun Wukong blinked and couldn't help but ask, "Yellow Eyebrows, do you perhaps also have lofty ambitions?"

Huang Mei invited him to sit inside the hall and asked with a smile, "What kind of Yuanzhi?"

"Of course..." Sun Wukong hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.

"There's a soundproof barrier in this hall, so feel free to speak your mind," Huang Mei said with a smile.

"For example, becoming a demon saint or something," Sun Wukong said.

Huang Mei waved his hand: "I am not a demon, so why would I be a demon saint? This power of Little Thunderclap Temple is just to prevent people from looking down on me."

Sun Wukong pondered for a moment: "That's true. With power, one can be called a king; without power, one is just a rogue cultivator."

Huang Mei instructed Su Su to prepare wine and dishes, and then ate and talked with the monkey.

As they chatted, the conversation drifted to Tang Sanzang, and Sun Wukong couldn't help but mutter to himself:

"That monk is clearly a human being, yet he is even less human than I, Old Sun. I beat up the villain to protect him, but he blames me for killing someone. It's really frustrating."

Huang Mei: "..."

Is Tang Sanzang devoid of human nature?
