Journey to the West: Upon seeing the Yellow-Eyebrowed Demon, why not pay homage?

Chapter 24: Slaying Jinchi, Intimidating the Three Treasures!

Inside the Zen temple.

Flames shot into the sky, and the temperature soared.

On an open space.

The black bear demon, clutching a large bump on his forehead, looked at the two approaching him and sneered at Huang Mei, "You defeated opponent, dare to show your face again?"

Huang Mei raised his hand and summoned a spiked club, sneering, "We'll see who makes a fool of themselves later."

The black bear spirit stuffed his cassock into his sleeve, conjured a black-tasseled spear out of thin air, and said fiercely, "I regretted not being able to kill you last time. This time, I will make sure you die by my spear."

"So they were enemies after all, that makes things easier."

Sun Wukong chuckled, his body blurring into a blur as he delivered a powerful blow to the head.

The black bear spirit didn't take the skinny monkey seriously. With a flick of his arm, the spearhead transformed into a black ray of light, heading straight for the top of the iron rod.

"boom!"

The moment the guns clashed, a deafening roar erupted in the courtyard.

Sun Wukong flew down from the sky, but the black bear spirit's black-tasseled spear flew out of his hand, grazed his waist, and stuck into the ground with its bottom, demonstrating the strong recoil.

"You put on quite the airs, I thought you were some kind of super strong, is that all?" Sun Wukong mocked.

The black bear spirit was so angry that his face turned blue and his nose twisted. He wrapped his sleeve around the black-tasseled spear, swung his sleeve, and manipulated the spear to stab at the monkey king as if it were appearing out of nowhere.

Sun Wukong opened his fiery eyes, and the strange spear technique immediately became clear.

He then lunged forward and began smashing things repeatedly!

After only ten or so rounds, the black bear spirit felt pain and numbness in his hands, realizing he was no match for his opponent, and said:

"Monkey, I haven't eaten dinner, so your victory would be unfair. How about I have dinner first, and then we can have another duel?"

"Wukong, he's treating you like a child," Huangmei said.

Sun Wukong's gaze turned cold, and a faint divine light suddenly shone from his body. The iron rod in his hand radiated golden light and crimson glow. With each strike imbued with powerful divine force, the Black Bear Demon was forced to retreat continuously, and his hands gradually lost sensation.

After three rounds, the black bear spirit secretly gave in and suddenly raised a willow branch to shield himself.

Sun Wukong recognized the willow branch. At the critical moment, he forcibly withdrew his golden cudgel and said in a low voice, "How do you have a willow branch? What is your relationship with Guanyin Bodhisattva?"

The black bear spirit did not answer. With a turn of its body, it suddenly transformed into a wisp of black wind and was about to escape.

Huang Mei summoned the Human Race Bag, chanted incantations, and a powerful suction force instantly locked onto the Black Bear Spirit's body.

Although limited by the divine power of the willow branch, it was unable to capture the black bear spirit, but it still managed to pull and imprison it in the air.

Above the immortal clouds.

Bai Susu seized the opportunity and threw out the golden cymbal again.

"Clang!"

The golden gong once again struck the black bear demon precisely on the forehead, knocking him to the ground once more.

Sun Wukong laughed heartily, his body soaring through the air as he swung his golden cudgel, aiming straight for the Black Bear Demon's face.

Despite the excruciating pain in his head and the suction of the human-shaped bag, the Black Bear Demon once again grappled with the Monkey King, feeling increasingly powerless: "The three of you against one is so unfair! It's an unsportsmanlike victory!"

Huang Mei said, "This isn't a martial arts competition, so what's the point of talking about fairness? What's this talk about winning unfairly? Black Bear Spirit, if you know what's good for you, kneel down and beg for surrender now, and you'll suffer less."

The Black Bear Demon was trapped in a quagmire, constantly in danger of losing his life, but he did not beg for mercy from Yellow Eyebrows. Instead, he exerted all his strength to activate the willow branch, and a beam of emerald light shot into the sky, like a beacon fire.

"Master Miaoshan, I wish to return the willow branch to you. Please come and save me."

Thirty or forty miles to the west of the Zen temple, in a dense ancient forest, Sudhana and the Dragon Girl took in this scene through the Mystic Mirror. They also saw the emerald light shooting straight into the starry sky through the Mystic Mirror.

But she didn't want to care at all, even though she knew that if she did nothing, the willow branch might fall into Huang Mei's hands!

However, just as she resolved to remain on the sidelines, a beam of white light suddenly flew towards her and appeared before her as a letter with gold lettering in white ink:

The black bear spirit has a connection with Luojia Mountain and should be considered its guardian deity.

Sudhana Dragon Girl: "..."

"Master Miaoshan, please save me! I can give you this robe and willow branch."

Inside the Zen temple, the black bear spirit suddenly pulled out a brocade cassock from his sleeve and cried out, "Furthermore, I can give you my life. Kill me or torture me, it's all up to you."

Inside the ancient forest, the Dragon Girl sighed, waved her hand to scatter the golden letter, and her body turned into a blur. In an instant, she rushed to the Zen temple, blocked the golden cudgel with her sword, and used all her strength to force Sun Wukong back.

"Dragons?"

Sun Wukong recognized her true form at a glance, and his brows furrowed slightly.

This is because he was a close neighbor of the Dragon King of the East Sea and had a good relationship with him, so he always maintained goodwill towards the dragon clans of the four seas.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Dragon Girl of Good Fortune stepped on golden light and instantly appeared beside the Black Bear Spirit. She plucked a willow branch from his head, activated a dazzling green light, and quickly led him and the other away from the battlefield.

At that moment, even Bai Susu, who was outside the battle, only saw a flash of green light before the man and the bear disappeared without a trace.

Sun Wukong scratched his head, turned around and asked, "Brother, do you know who this Little Dragon Girl is?"

"I know, she is the daughter of the Sagara Dragon King, the right attendant of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, and the Dragon Girl Sudhana," Huang Mei nodded.

Sun Wukong was astonished: "How could the Dragon Girl Sudhana collude with demons to plot against us for our cassock?"

Huang Mei said, "She didn't come for the cassock, she came for me..."

Just then, Elder Jinchi came stumbling over with two disciples, asking in a panic, "Where's the cassock? Where's the brocade cassock?"

Sun Wukong got angry just looking at him, grabbed his collar with both hands, and lifted him up in an instant:

"How dare you ask us that? If you hadn't tried to burn us alive, and the fire hadn't attracted the Black Bear Demon, how could the brocade cassock have been stolen?"

Inside the meditation hall.

Having somehow regained consciousness, Sanzang, who had been listening intently to the door, suddenly pushed it open and came out, his face showing the same anxiety as Elder Jinchi: "Didn't you get the robe back?"

"When did you wake up?" Sun Wukong asked curiously.

Annoyed, Sanzang said softly, "At a time like this, you still have the mind to concern yourself with such trivial matters?"

Sun Wukong said indifferently, "Isn't this just out of concern for you, old man? Is it wrong to show concern?"

Sanzang said, "What you should be most concerned about right now is the cassock. If you hadn't shown off during the day, the cassock wouldn't have been stolen at night. No matter what, you must find the cassock for me!"

"That's right, that's right, we must get that robe back," Elder Jinchi echoed.

Sun Wukong suddenly turned his head and looked over, his voice chilling: "I almost forgot about you if you didn't speak, old monk. What about the matter of you setting fire to us?"

Jin Chi's expression changed drastically, and he suddenly fell to his knees in front of Sanzang: "Holy Monk, I was wrong, I was just confused for a moment, please forgive me this time."

Seeing him weeping, Sanzang felt a pang of sympathy and was about to advise the monkey to be merciful when a spiked club suddenly whistled past and smashed Jinchi's head with a bang, instantly splattering blood all over his body and face.

"Blood... ah~~~"

Feeling the warmth on his face and seeing the tragic scene before him, Sanzang suddenly took a few steps back, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted and collapsed to the ground.

Three steps away.

Huang Mei silently put away his blood-stained spiked club, raised his eyes, and said, "Su Su, you watch over this monk. Wukong and I will go after that black bear demon. Unless Guanyin Bodhisattva arrives in person, no one can protect him!"

Sun Wukong glanced at the still-dripping spiked club, a sense of pleasure rising in his heart, and laughed:

"Hurry, hurry, I can't wait..."
