Later, they came once every four days, once every five days, and sometimes twice every three days.

The boy brought fruit more and more frequently, and the variety increased, from wild fruits to wild strawberries, and even some things that Yunyi wasn't sure if she could eat. He picked almost every edible wild fruit in the nearby mountains.

This continued for nearly a month.

Yun Yi remained silent.

The boy was quite stubborn; whenever he had time, he would bring fresh fruit, place it by the stone table, and then quietly leave.

Until this day.

In the afternoon, Yun Yi was meditating with his eyes closed when he suddenly opened them.

The sound of hurried footsteps came from afar.

It was that boy, running and stumbling, his clothes torn to shreds by tree branches, his face covered in sweat and mud, but his eyes held a strange excitement.

Behind him, a massive, dark brown bear roared and chased after him.

The bear was over three meters tall and had an astonishingly large and powerful body. With each step it took, the ground trembled slightly, and the surrounding trees were knocked to the side.

The boy was too exhausted to run anymore; his legs were already trembling.

But the moment he saw Yun Yi, a smile appeared on his face.

Yun Yi looked at him, then glanced at the bear behind him.

The Eye of Truth automatically captured several thoughts that flashed through the boy's mind:

afraid.

I'm very scared.

But he thought, this beautiful big bird doesn't like to eat fruit.

Does it like to eat meat?

So he deliberately provoked the bear.

Yun Yi fell silent.

He looked at the child who was grinning at him as he ran for his life, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

The next second, the bear died.

His entire body was disintegrated into countless fragments of light, dissipating into the air, without even a scream.

The boy ran a few more steps forward due to inertia, then sat down heavily on the ground, panting heavily.

He stared at the spot where the giant bear had disappeared, his eyes shining with an alarming intensity.

really!

Big birds really do eat meat!

Yun Yi ignored him and closed his eyes again.

He thought that was the end of it.

However, he was wrong.

The next day, the boy brought over a brown bear that was even bigger than the one he had seen the day before.

Then another one appeared.

Another one.

He even started trying to provoke other large wild animals, such as leopards, wild boars, and rhinoceroses. He dared to provoke any animal that was big enough.

Yunyi receives a "material" every one or two days.

Although these wild beasts were not as powerful as the several demonic snakes he had encountered before, they were diverse in species and had different body structures, and he could occasionally deduce some interesting things from them.

For example, the skin structure of the one-horned rhinoceros is very good, hard and thick, and he extracted a part of it and added it to the outer layer of his own feathers.

Another ten days or so passed.

Yun Yi finally couldn't hold back any longer.

That day, the boy brought over another wild boar. Just as he caught his breath and was about to watch Yun Yi perform his usual "Great Transformation of a Beast," a voice suddenly came from above:

"Is there something you need?"

The boy shuddered, as if startled by the sound, and stumbled, falling flat on his backside.

He looked up at Yun Yi, his eyes first filled with fear, then disbelief, and finally excitement.

"Big bird! The big bird can talk!"

"The beautiful bird has started talking!"

The boy jumped up excitedly, ran around the stone platform twice, and kept shouting "Big bird, big bird" in a high-pitched and bright voice that echoed back and forth in the valley.

Yunyi's head was throbbing from the noise.

He slowly raised one wing and gently touched it towards the boy.

The little boy's mouth suddenly became unable to open.

The boy froze, touched his mouth, and looked up at Yun Yi with a blank expression.

"If you keep chattering, I'll throw you under the waterfall," Yunyi said.

The boy shook his head frantically.

Yun Yi lifted the restriction.

The boy took a few deep breaths, then looked at Yun Yi cautiously, his eyes sparkling as if he had discovered some earth-shattering secret.

"Big bird, you're so beautiful," he said. "I want to be your friend."

Yun Yi looked down at him.

The boy's eyes were clear, filled with a pure and open longing, and his expression was genuine.

Yun Yi remained silent for a moment.

"Whatever you want," he said. "But don't call me Big Bird anymore. My name is Yunyi."

The boy was taken aback at first, then a smile spread from the corners of his mouth all the way to his ears.

"Okay, big bird! My name is Adou!"

"You're so beautiful!"

Yun Yi closed his eyes.

Forget it.

From now on, I'll treat it as raising a talking monkey.

In the days that followed, Adou came even more frequently.

He leaves home before dawn every day, first helping with chores at home, then jogging up the mountain to stay with Yunyi for a while before going off to do other things.

Sometimes he would bring some novelties from the mountains, sometimes a few fruits, sometimes half a steamed bun, and once he even brought a burnt fish.

He said he baked it himself and asked Yunyi if she wanted some.

Yun Yi looked at the dark, gooey thing and said:

"You eat it yourself."

Adou didn't stand on ceremony. He sat down under the stone platform and gnawed on the fish until his mouth was covered in black ash, talking to Yunyi as he ate.

He talked about things in the village, about things at home, and about what kind of hero he wanted to be when he grew up.

Yun Yi would occasionally respond, but most of the time he remained in deep meditation with his eyes closed.

Adou didn't find it boring at all, so he just sat there, sometimes staring at the scales on Yunyi's body reflecting the sunlight, sometimes for most of the day.

If Adou was just coming to chat with him, Yunyi wouldn't mind.

But the little guy's "gift-giving" behavior did not stop just because he made friends.

He would occasionally provoke large wild beasts and lure them to Yun Yi.

Yun Yi would use the Eye of Truth to dismantle those beasts each time, and then add some useful structures to himself.

It's not much trouble anyway, and having more materials is good too.

Time passed slowly like this.

In the blink of an eye, Yun Yi has been in this world for almost half a year.

On this day, A-Dou came again.

But he didn't come alone.

He was holding a baby in his arms.

The baby looked to be only six months old, wrapped in a rough cloth, with a round face, eyes half-open and half-closed, fast asleep.

Adou held her carefully, his hands and feet clumsy but exceptionally gentle, his expression extremely proud, as if he were holding some great treasure.

"Big bird! Big bird!"

He jogged to the bottom of the stone platform, looked up, and lifted the baby in his arms.

"This is my sister!"

"Isn't it cute?"

Yun Yi glanced at the baby, then at A Dou's smug face, and his lips twitched involuntarily.

He glanced at the back of the child's head.

It's obvious that this kid will have a complete childhood once he goes back.

"Yes, she's cute," Yunyi said. "Did you bring her out of the house?"

"No! My mother told me to bring her out to get some sun!" Adou said matter-of-factly.

Yun Yi glanced at the sky.

The sun is almost setting.

This little guy is probably lying again.

However, he did not expose him.

really.

Adou didn't come back for a whole month after he left.
