Chapter 76 Clark, Teachings, Non-Killing Philosophy
"boom!"
"Boom!!"
The vines pulled the Super Queen down and slammed her into the ground.
The impact, combined with the immense speed from a height of several thousand meters, knocked the Super Queen unconscious.
Looking at the unconscious Queen, Wanda glanced at her stomach.
There is a life there.
"I'm pregnant, but I don't know who the father is."
Wanda stared at the unconscious Supergirl and muttered to herself.
It wasn't mentioned in the anime, but she remembered that in the manga it was Lex Luthor.
Wanda opened a portal, and the other side was Earth, the same planet she had arrived on.
And on the other side of the portal is Clark, hmm.
Clark is wearing a Superman suit. Although Clark is a bit young now, he is tall enough.
After putting on the battle suit, he looked pretty much the same as in the original story.
Clark, who was on a round-the-world trip, seemed to be hallucinating after less than half a day of travel.
"Father?" Clark stared blankly at the portal that suddenly appeared in the sky, and Wanda on the other side of the portal.
"What's wrong?"
Looking at the portal in front of him, Clark didn't know what to say.
Although he knew his father possessed special powers, he never imagined such a thing actually existed.
And if that's possible, why not just send him to the Arctic?
"Come."
Wanda greeted Clark.
Then the portal grew larger, following Wanda's voice.
Clark flew over.
After flying over, Clark looked at Wanda with a puzzled expression and asked, "Did you call me for something, Father?"
"I'll put on a show for you."
Wanda looked at Clark's suit, which was different from the classic red and blue suit, and said in a calm tone.
"Watching a play?"
Clark was even more puzzled. What kind of movie would they want to watch in this deserted place?
"Who is this?" Clark then caught sight of the Super Queen lying on the ground, bound by vines.
"Your Aunt Diana's counterpart."
Wanda looked at the black and gold Supergirl and explained.
"Peer?"
Clark murmured those three words, then looked around again.
Finally, he turned his gaze to the distant city skyscrapers.
With his exceptional eyesight, he easily discerned the true appearance of the city.
The level of luxury in that city was completely different from what he had previously perceived.
"Is this not our Earth?"
"Parallel world?"
Clark looked at Wanda in surprise, seeking confirmation.
"Parallel universe."
Wanda nodded, confirming Clark's guess.
"So—there's another me on this Earth?!" Clark said with a hint of excitement.
He really wanted to meet this version of himself in this universe.
Isotopes, huh? I've only ever seen those in comics before.
"This is the reverse universe of the normal universe. The superheroes that appear in our universe later are all criminals here."
Wanda glanced at the excited Clark and gave a brief explanation.
Hearing Wanda's words, Clark calmed down a little.
"So, this is a world where criminals congregate?"
"Aren't there any decent superheroes here?"
Clark turned to Wanda and asked her a question.
Wanda waved to lift Supergirl up, then gestured for Clark to follow.
He then said to Clark, "Of course there are, but all the good superheroes are dead."
"They are the villains in the world of good. The reversed versions of good in this world are too powerful, causing the world to lean towards criminals."
"Clark, do you think a guy with blood on his hands and lives on his hands should be killed or imprisoned?"
Wanda turned to look at Clark, who was flying beside her.
"I think he should be sentenced to death, according to the law."
Clark answered Wanda's question almost without hesitation.
Wanda nodded with satisfaction upon hearing Clark's answer.
Finally, it's not a policy of non-killing anymore.
"According to the law, such a person should be sentenced to death."
"But what if the prisons and laws that hold these death row inmates don't actually execute them?"
"The government will not execute these super-criminals; at most, they will be imprisoned."
"And sometimes they will come back and commit crimes again. What do you think should be done in that situation?"
Wanda raised another question, a problem that often arises in DC.
Upon hearing what Wanda said, Clark did not immediately express his thoughts.
Instead, they began to think.
"Why don't the monks and the government execute them?"
Clark asked, confused and puzzled.
"Because some criminals are so powerful that they can influence the government and the law."
"Some cases do not meet the legal criteria for the death penalty, such as those involving mental illness."
"In our universe, there will be a mentally ill person in the future who has taken many lives, but the law does not punish mentally ill people with death."
"Then there are aliens from outer space, and other powerful superhumans. These are people that humans can't capture or kill, so they can only be sealed away."
"But as long as it's sealed, they'll have a chance to escape."
As Wanda and Clark flew toward the aerial fortress, Wanda explained things to Clark.
Upon hearing Wanda's explanation, Clark fell silent.
"Since humans can't kill those aliens and powerful beings we've captured, why not get those powerful superheroes to help us?"
"If they were to take action, they would surely be able to kill those aliens."
"A superhero with the same abilities as me, or like me from another world."
Clark was still filled with doubt.
Can't be killed? Why not get the superheroes to help?
If you can capture someone, does that mean you can definitely kill them? Isn't that right?
"The superheroes led by you are known as the Justice League."
Wanda and Clark arrived at the air fortress at that moment.
The battle in the air fortress is over.
The Justice League won, and all the criminals in the Crime Syndicate were tied up.
The Justice League is discussing handing these criminals over to the government.
Just then, they also overheard what Wanda said to Clark.
"They adhere to a no-kill policy, so they won't take action against criminals. They will hand them over to the government and will never kill them themselves."
Even if those people are heinous criminals.
Wanda and Clark flew in through a hole and landed on the ground.
"Bang!"
The Supergirl, who had been being dragged along, was then thrown to the ground by Wanda.
Why?
"Why not kill those guys with blood on their hands and lives on their hands?"
Clark was puzzled, confused, and angry. Then Clark looked at the Justice League members.
