Chapter 77 Different Paths

Looking at the younger version of himself who resembled him, Superman Clark paused for a moment before speaking.

"It's not that we don't want to kill, it's that we can't."

"Why can't it be?"

"Is it really that hard to kill someone with a lot of lives on their hands?"

Clark looked at the superhuman Clark in front of him, puzzled, and asked, "Are you going to wait until these guys you captured escape and cause trouble?"

"It's not that we don't want to kill these heinous criminals; I want to kill them too."

"I know clearly in my heart that their lives are not equivalent to those of ordinary people."

"But I can't kill people."

Superman Clark explained to Clark with a determined expression.

Wanda and Ganata, who had come to his side, also looked at Superman with some curiosity.

"Once we open the floodgates of murder, we'll keep killing criminals. One or two is fine, but the floodgates have already been opened."

"Laws exist because of people; they are updated in real time and improved according to specific circumstances."

"The past was the age of humans, now it's the age of superheroes, so naturally we need to create corresponding laws, we can't keep using the old laws."

"The law needs to be updated and improved in accordance with the changes of the times."

After a moment's thought, Clark spoke with a firm tone.

"No, superhumans cannot interfere with the law or the government."

"When superhumans begin to interfere with human laws, that is the beginning of dictatorship."

"When superhumans taste power, that's when disaster begins."

"Today we can amend the law to execute mentally ill patients, tomorrow we can amend the law to benefit superhumans, and the day after tomorrow we can amend the law to execute ordinary criminals as well." Superman Clark solemnly advised his younger self.

Once the person in front of you embarks on the path of dictatorship, no one will be able to stop him.

He could tell that the version of himself in front of him possessed far greater power, and he was also so young.

"So you mean to keep letting criminals go in and out of prison, only to have them come out and kill civilians again and again?"

Are the lives of ordinary people just commodities to be squandered at will?

Superman Clark watched as Clark gradually calmed down and became more resolute in his beliefs. He walked anxiously to Clark's side, grabbed Clark's shoulders, and said urgently, "You can't do this. Once you set a precedent, others will follow suit."

Clark turned to Wanda and said, "Father, I want to go back."

"Aren't you going to try and talk him out of it?"

Superman Clark looked at Wanda and said anxiously.

"He's going down a path that's beyond his control."

"As long as he follows the path he believes is right, I will take care of the rest for him."

Wanda looked at Superman Clarke calmly and said, "And I don't like your path either."

"You can't stop him from getting out of control."

Superman Clark warned Wanda with a serious expression.

No one understands his own power better than him.

"You can try it yourself to see if I have this ability."

Wanda was not swayed by Superman Clark's words; she simply raised her hand, indicating that Superman Clark could test her strength himself.

With her current strength at the single-target level, how could she not stop Clark? Besides, she's getting stronger every moment.

Leaving aside Clark, she wouldn't lose even against eternity, nor against death.

Now, she is no longer afraid of death.

"No need, I just hope you won't regret it later."

Superman Clark glanced at Wanda, whose expression remained largely unchanged, shook his head, rejected her suggestion, and sighed.

"Let's go and hand these criminals over to the government."

Superman Clark turned to look at the rest of the Justice League and said.

Everyone at the scene has been dealt with; they were either tied up or knocked unconscious.

"I'll lead them."

Green Lantern spoke.

Then the ring produced a green rope, which quickly grew longer and bound everyone present.

After being tied up, the remaining energy in the rope transformed into a hand, which held everyone in its grasp.

"Let's go."

Superman Clark, watching this scene, addressed the group, including Clark and WandaGanata.

Although he couldn't persuade Clark, he wasn't angry, just a little disappointed.
