You went on a blind date and presented an A-level wanted criminal as a meeting gift?

"Lin Chen—!!!"

Su Qingge let out a heart-wrenching scream and lunged at the dark elevator shaft like a madwoman.

Her fingertips only had time to touch a wisp of wind stirred up by the hem of Lin Chen's clothes.

That man, without hesitation, plunged into the abyss.

Darkness instantly swallowed his figure.

……

call--!!!

The howling wind was tearing my eardrums!

The feeling of weightlessness was like an invisible giant hand, trying to pull Lin Chen's internal organs out of his body!

It was pitch black all around, with only the occasional sparks flying from the elevator shaft walls due to friction, like fleeting will-o'-the-wisps.

Lin Chen's body flipped rapidly in the air, but his eyes adjusted to the extreme darkness in an instant.

[God-level insight], operating at full power!

The entire 3D structure of the elevator shaft was instantly constructed in his mind!

guide!

Spare cable!

Counterweight!

He locked onto one side of the shaft wall, at the spare safety cable that was frantically twitching upwards as the car fell!

that's it!

Lin Chen forcefully twisted his waist and abdomen in mid-air, his body like a gecko, and suddenly pressed himself against the well wall!

The speed of the fall was unbelievably fast.

He stretched out his hands and grabbed the cold, rough steel cable as it swept past his side!

"Sizzle—!!!"

The surface of the tactical glove couldn't withstand the terrifying friction for even a second; it was instantly worn through and torn!

What followed was a brutal clash between flesh and steel!

Lin Chen's palm felt as if it were being pressed onto a high-speed rotating grinding wheel!

Skin, flesh, and fascia were peeled off and rolled up layer by layer!

The excruciating pain shot straight to the top of my head like an electric current!

Any normal person would instinctively let go under such intense pain.

But Lin Chen didn't!

He gritted his teeth, letting out a suppressed groan. His arm muscles bulged to a terrifying degree, his ten fingers gripping the steel cable like iron pincers!

His descent finally slowed down noticeably!

But that's not enough!

The car was falling much faster than he was!

Lin Chen slammed his feet against the rough cement well wall, creating two shallow dents in the hard surface!

"Bang!"

Using this reaction force, his body was no longer simply slowing down and sliding down, but instead transformed into a cannonball, actively chasing after the blurry black shadow below!

accelerate!

Speed up!

In the horrified gazes of Su Qingge and the special police above, they could only see a dark shadow flash by in the darkness, faster than their dynamic visual limit could see!

at last!

"Thump—!!!"

A dull, loud bang exploded from the top of the rapidly falling car!

Lin Chen's feet slammed heavily onto the steel plate on the top of the car!

The enormous impact caused the already violently shaking car to suddenly lurch downwards, emitting a tooth-grinding metallic groan!

Inside the elevator, Ye Qingcheng was stunned by the sudden impact, but she still managed to see a blurry figure in the distorted metallic reflection.

It's him!

It's Lin Chen!

He came to save me!

An indescribable emotion, a mixture of the elation of surviving a disaster and immense grievance, instantly overwhelmed all her psychological defenses.

Tears welled up uncontrollably.

At this point, they were less than five stories above the ground!

Thirty meters!

Twenty meters!

If it were to hit the ground at its current speed, the elevator car would be instantly crushed into a pile of scrap metal, and the people inside would have no chance of survival!

Lin Chen knelt on the roof of the violently shaking car, his eyes bloodshot, and grabbed the emergency brake lever on the top of the car!

That red lever, representing the last chance for survival!

He used all his strength and pulled hard!

Not moving at all!

The lever had rusted into the slot due to years of neglect!

"Grass!"

Lin Chen's eyes were practically bursting open.

He could clearly see the huge buffer springs at the bottom of the elevator shaft below, which were rapidly magnifying in his field of vision!

Death is just around the corner!

"Move—me—!!!"

Lin Chen let out a beast-like roar, gathering all his strength into his arms without reservation!

His bloodied and mangled hands gripped the cold lever once more!

The veins on his arms bulged out like ferocious dragons!

The bones groaned in pain from the unbearable strain!

"Snap!!!"

A crisp sound!

It wasn't the lever that broke, but rather the rusted metal that was jamming the lever that was snapped off by Lin Chen's brute force, which exceeded human limits!

The brake lever was forcibly pulled!

"Crunch—squeak—squeak—!!!"

The ear-piercing sound of metal tearing apart echoed throughout the entire building!

Hidden on both sides of the car are tungsten carbide brake calipers, like two rows of the sharpest fangs, biting hard into the steel guide rails on both sides!

Sparks fly!

Like two magnificent waterfalls of death!

The immense deceleration made Lin Chen feel as if his internal organs were about to burst out of his throat!

He gripped the lever tightly, the flesh on his palms tearing open again, blood gushing down his arm and dripping onto the scorching hot ceiling of the carriage, making a hissing sound.

The car came to an abrupt stop with a final roar, less than half a meter from the ground buffer spring!

stopped.

The whole world fell into a deathly silence.

Lin Chen, exhausted, let go of his grip and collapsed onto the top of the carriage, breathing heavily.

He looked at his hands, which were no longer recognizable, and felt the excruciating pain that went deep into his bones, but a weary smile slowly crept onto his lips.
