The troll players scattered like ants, abandoning the siege. Those who could return to their cities fled immediately, but most, caught in the midst of war, were unable to return and could only frantically flee towards the dense forest on the west side of the island.

Zuljin and Manko mingled among the fleeing soldiers, not daring to even turn their heads.

They knew that if they didn't run, they would die!

"Split up!" Manco roared at Zulkin, "and meet at my cage!"

Each of them led a group of trusted men and ventured into the dense forest in different directions.

The beach was left in a mess.

The bee-men army pressed their advantage and followed the two into the dense forest.

Liu Nian stepped onto the beach.

He didn't participate in the pursuit. With the elite bees around and the trolls terrified, they looked like they'd been beaten to a pulp.

The most urgent task is to investigate whether hell worms exist on the volcanic island.

Liu Nian turned to look at the city wall.

On the city wall, the amphibious fish-man guards watched him nervously—and the colossal behemoth behind him, as large as a mountain.

The fishmen's hands trembled as they gripped their weapons.

The tyrannical and powerful trolls were so frightened by the sight of this newly emerged force that they fled in disarray, indicating that they had been in contact with it before.

Those bee-men... I've seen amphibious fish-men before, but since when have these bee-men been able to chase and beat up trolls?

Fortunately, the enemy leader did not attack them, but came to the city wall alone.

The merman leader breathed a sigh of relief.

The city walls and gates slowly opened.

A group of fishmen walked out of the door.

The leader was a merman wearing silver-white coral armor and wielding a golden trident.

He was a little taller than the average fishman, about 1.9 meters tall, with scales that were a noble silver-blue color and long, ornate dorsal fins, clearly indicating his extraordinary status.

[Level 99 Tidecaller - Sora]

Sora stopped ten meters in front of Liu Nian, slammed his trident on the ground, and performed a standard salute.

"A powerful figure on land." Sora's voice sounded slightly strange, with a hint of childlike innocence. "I am Sora, the lord of Tide City. Although we could have held out without your help, your intervention greatly reduced our losses, and I express my sincere gratitude to you!"

Liu Nian nodded: "Just doing it on the side. I'm here for something else."

"Please speak."

"I see this island is a volcanic island." Liu Nian looked at the cone-shaped volcano in the center of the island. "I need to find a creature called the Hell Worm. They like to live in high-temperature environments rich in iron ore, and volcanic areas are their ideal nesting places. I wonder if any of you have discovered this creature?"

Sora pondered for a moment and said, "I'm sorry, that volcano is an extinct volcano. Our survey found it to be quite stable and it won't erupt for at least several decades. There are only some small things like lava slimes on that volcano, not the worms you described."

Liu Nian frowned: "Are you sure?"

"Confirmed," Sora said. "We surveyed most of the island's underground areas before the City of Tides was even built. If there were any large creatures like that, we would have discovered them long ago."

Looks like I made a wasted trip.

Liu Nian was somewhat disappointed.

But since we're already here...

His gaze shifted to the giant beasts behind the city walls.

Snake lizards, dragon turtles, giant salamanders, crystal-backed toads...

Especially the three-headed lizard, with its three ferocious snake heads constantly hissing and spewing poisonous mist, acid, and cold air, looked majestic.

He was quite interested in this.

"Are you selling those multi-headed behemoths of yours?" Liu Nian asked.

Sora was taken aback: "You want to buy War Beasts?"

"Yes," Liu Nian said, "It looks pretty impressive."

"The others are fine, but the snake lizard... is unique to our Tide City and is generally not sold to outsiders." Sora hesitated.

These snake lizards were unlocked by completing missions; they're very powerful, and of course, very expensive!

The reason why their city is full of three-headed animals is because three-headed animals are the cheapest.

The three-headed lizard is level 199. Its three heads can respectively spew out highly toxic poison, strong acid, and ice. After further evolution, it will become a five-headed lizard (level 299), a seven-headed lizard (level 399), and so on, up to a nine-headed lizard (level 499). Beyond that, it's no longer a lizard, but a dragon lizard!

A truly powerful nine-headed dragon lizard (level 999) can fight against top-tier dragons without being at a disadvantage!

Moreover, because it's unlocked through quests, unlike the units sold in the regular war shop, this one can actually be taken into battle! It's practically the Murlocs' trump card!

What if this human buys it and then turns around and attacks them...? But they are indeed quite resource-poor right now. Although there are many biological resources in the ocean, they lack minerals... It's not that there are no minerals in the ocean, but that they simply cannot master deep-sea mining technology in the short term.

Without minerals, it's impossible to build a more fortified city.

Moreover, the equipment dropped by marine creatures is mostly lightweight, with very little metal equipment.

Murlocs are inherently weak in individual combat, and without powerful equipment, they simply cannot compete with other races.

They can't just stay on this island forever, waiting for someone to come and beat them up, can they?

"Price is negotiable," Liu Nian said. "I see yours are all level 199. Do you have any higher-level ones?"

Sora thought for a moment and said, "I can sell it to you, but currently, due to the Ascension War, the highest level available is only 299 for the Five-Headed Serpent Lizard!"

Liu Nian was very pleased to hear this.

"And what's more!" Sora exclaimed, her big eyes blinking, "These snake-lizards can be deployed with the army!"

"What?" Liu Nian was taken aback.

Currently, all units available for purchase in a player's main city are only for defensive battles.

But this thing can actually be used in sieges?

That's incredibly awesome.

"However..." Sora suddenly changed the subject, "This is one of our trump cards, and I would never sell it under normal circumstances. But if you can help me complete a mission, I can let you buy this unit from our war shop!"

"What mission?" Liu Nian asked hurriedly.

"It seems you're also looking for a volcano; this task might not conflict with your current mission."

Through Sora's explanation, Liu Nian understood.

About 300 nautical miles west of here lies an area known as the "Burning Sea." The seabed in that area is home to active volcanoes that erupt year-round, and the average seawater temperature reaches 70-80 degrees Celsius, making it impossible for ordinary life to survive.

The fish-men had seen it from afar: dark clouds of volcanic ash hung over that sea, and large numbers of fish, scalded to death, floated on the surface. But because the fish-men were also intolerant of high temperatures, they never approached to explore.

However, Sora accepted a mission to go to that area to rescue a mermaid who had been captured by a shark-like fishman.

Fishman...mermaid?

Liu Nian blinked. What's the difference?
