Mosh was unaware of the feud between Riftscale and Liu Nian, but he keenly sensed Liu Nian's interest in the snake people. So he continued, "Riftscale especially dislikes humans and elves. It's said that back in the competition area, they fought against humans and elves, suffering heavy losses and almost losing the promotion war."

"Oh?" Liu Nian became interested. "Do you know how they ultimately won?"

Mosh said, "It seems that at the last moment, Riftscale obtained a crucial item that turned the tide of the battle. Otherwise, their entire snake-man race might have become wild monsters."

A knowing glint flashed in Liu Nian's eyes.

It turned out to be the case.

It seems likely that Kal'tsit will clash with the snake people because the snake people dislike the elves...

He turned and glanced at Kal'tsit.

The elf girl's face was expressionless, but there was a clear hint of coldness in her eyes. She must have heard what Mosh said too.

"The key item..." Liu Nian muttered.

Could it be an eternal-level artifact similar to the Heart of Deception or the Boundary Breaker?

They continued walking, through crowded streets, past one strange and wonderful shop after another.

Suddenly, Liu Nian stopped in his tracks.

His gaze fell upon a building—a gigantic tent, covered not with ordinary animal hides, but with a single, enormous dragon hide! The dragon hide was deep black, each scale as large as a door panel, gleaming with a cold, eerie luster in the sunlight. A sign hanging at the tent's entrance depicted an eye, its pupil burning with flames.

"Where is this place?" Liu Nian asked.

Mosh glanced at it, a hint of awe flashing in his eyes: "That's the Prophet's abode. Besides the City Lord's Mansion and the Tower of the Void, it's the most mysterious place. A shamanic prophet lives there, said to be able to foresee the future. However…"

"But what?"

"But that old man has a really strange temper; he doesn't see just anyone." Mosh shrugged. "It's said that he only sees people he likes, and his fees are outrageously high. To see him, you have to offer at least a legendary piece of equipment. And that's just the ticket; fortune-telling is extra, and if he doesn't like you, he might just kick you out."

Liu Nian squinted.

Predicting the future?

In this hellish place, such things might actually be true...

As for legendary equipment, Liu Nian has quite a few. If he really can't find the Boundary Wood, Liu Nian thinks he can also find an opportunity to come here for divination.

After touring the fortress, Liu Nian had a general understanding of it.

He returned to the tower without delay.

He sent all the players except the trolls back to Ovitan.

Afterwards, he sent Kal'tsit to take the newcomers around the city of Altavien to do some shopping and such.

He secretly transformed into Kal'tsit's appearance and returned to the Savage Fortress. After pretending to accept a guild quest, he swaggered towards the flight point in full view of everyone.

The so-called flight point is the "teleportation point" of Savage Fortress, which is similar to the obelisk teleportation in Altavin, except that Savage Fortress is characterized by flying units.

They have all sorts of creatures, from wyverns and giant butterflies to griffins, vultures, airships, magic carpets, and more, depending on the price range.

However, the price is just the price of different flight units (similar to skins), and has little to do with speed and distance.

These flying units differ from mounts or magical pets; they first need to select a destination coordinate point before taking off.

The route is fixed and cannot be changed halfway, nor can the player leave the flying unit. The player is invincible while in the flying unit, and the flying speed is faster than imagined.

Normally, if you choose to go to a very far place, it may take several hours, but for a wyvern, no matter which coordinate you want to reach in the Endless Wilderness, no matter how far away it is, the flight time is a fixed ten seconds.

Even if you're a thousand kilometers away, it only takes ten seconds—it's like watching a cutscene.

Riding, flying, arriving at the destination.

Of course, this service has two limitations: one is that it must be in the Endless Wilderness, and the other is that you must have opened the map of the destination coordinates in advance.

There are many flight points in the Savage Fortress. The one Liu Nian came to was located on a huge platform made of animal bones. More than a dozen bipedal dragons were squatting on the skeleton, some dozing, some preening their feathers, and some tearing at each other.

These bipedal dragons were enormous, with wingspans exceeding twenty meters, and had fixed saddles mounted on their backs.

Liu Nian walked up to a flying dragon and threw a crystal coin to the gnoll NPC guarding it.

The jackal took the crystal coin and handed Liu Nian a domino.

After Liu Nian climbed onto the flying dragon, he inserted the dominoes into the grooves on the saddle and set the destination coordinates.

The two-legged dragon let out a roar, spread its wings, and soared into the sky.

Shortly after Liu Nian took to the air, dozens of figures rushed into the Adventurers' Guild.

Leading the group was a snake-man covered in bright red scales—the scales were a vivid blood red, like burning flames, making him stand out in the crowd.

"Check what quest that Sun Elf accepted!"

"yes!"

Liu Nian sat on the back of the two-legged dragon, looking down at the wilderness passing by.

This thing is truly amazing—even though it's not flying very fast, the scenery below rushes past rapidly, as if space itself has been folded.

Ten seconds later, the wyvern landed on a lonely rocky hill.

Liu Nian jumped off the dragon's back, his two feet flying as the dragon soared into the sky and disappeared into the horizon.

He looked around.

He had been here before when he was taking on a bee-man from Abe; it was indeed a herb-gathering spot—there was an oasis at the foot of the mountain, where many medicinal herbs grew.

He opened a private chat: "Mosh, how's it going?"

"My lord, the Rift Scales have appeared, and as you instructed, we have revealed your coordinates!"

"Great, has your person added him as a friend?"

"No, but I added one of his deputies."

"Okay, go ahead and do your thing."

To make the performance more convincing, Liu Nian glanced around and then went to the oasis to gather medicinal herbs.

After waiting for a full quarter of an hour, a few black dots finally appeared on the horizon.

The black dots were getting closer and bigger—they were several bipedal dragons.

However, unlike Liu Nian's, this is a large bipedal flying dragon that can carry multiple people; one dragon can carry ten people.

It seems that, just to be on the safe side, Lie Lin brought quite a few men with him.

The moment they landed, perhaps to prevent Liu Nian from escaping, these snake-men immediately used some kind of skill to turn the surrounding area into a swamp.

This environment has little impact on snake people, but it has a significant impact on creatures that need to walk.

Liu Nian looked around. This swamp was not just a change in terrain; it seemed to have something similar to his skill, Eternal Night Curtain, that could temporarily prevent people from escaping quickly.

But that was before. Now, Liu Nian, a boundary breaker, can leave this place at any time.

Similarly, the wyverns couldn't be trapped here either; after delivering the snake-men on their backs to the ground, they immediately flapped their wings and left.
