Peninsula: I run a bed and breakfast on Jeju Island

Chapter 49 I'm Not a Foot Fetishist

It was still a bit chilly at the guesthouse in the early morning.

Li Ran curled up in bed, not wanting to move.

After a while, he twisted his body in bed and then stretched.

He turned his head sharply and heard a "crack" sound from the back of his neck.

His cervical spine has always been in poor condition.

He wasn't quite sure what the exact reason was, but it was probably because he had been looking down at the screen for a long time.

He glanced at the time.

7:07.

Li Ran rubbed her eyes and sat up.

Time to make breakfast.

Lee Ji-eun left for the film set at 8:30, which gave her plenty of time.

For some reason, he always felt like he was sending his daughter to school.

He's only 25 years old, in the prime of his life!

And this "daughter" is actually a year older than him.

After quickly washing up, Li Ran went to the kitchen.

He planned to cook the porridge first.

Last night, Lee Ji-eun didn't specifically say what she wanted to eat, she just mentioned that she wanted to drink porridge.

He can't possibly get everything else right, only to end up with a badly cooked porridge, right?

That would be absolutely awful.

Breakfast was still eggs.

Each person gets one fried egg and one boiled egg.

Then I heated up a few more steamed buns and served them with some pickled vegetables.

The breakfasts I make every day are actually just a few dishes.

Sometimes when Li Ran suffers from decision paralysis, she simply eats the same thing for an entire week.

He'll eat something else the next day when he gets tired of it.

When Lee Ji-eun came out of the house, Lee Ran had already prepared breakfast.

He sat at the dining table, fiddling with the stray hairs on his forehead.

Li Ran felt she really needed to get her hair done. A few stray strands were getting in her eyes.

Lee Ji-eun pulled out a chair and sat down.

Only then did Li Ran notice that Li Zhi'en had arrived wearing slippers.

She wasn't wearing her outdoor shoes, probably because she wanted to change them after she finished eating.

Her feet were still encased in pure white socks.

He didn't actually look at it on purpose. He just glanced at it casually.

To be clear, Li Ran does not consider herself a foot fetishist or foot fetishist.

What's so attractive about feet?

It's nothing more than toes, insteps, ankles, and the like.

While pink and white toes might be more appealing, he couldn't comprehend the act of "eating" them.

He also knew that some people liked to be trampled on by soft feet, with their faces being stepped on.

He had seen it before while scrolling through short videos.

Feet are a body part that is both everyday and private.

It's possible that these individuals, due to a sense of morality or social discipline during childhood, unconsciously transferred their desire for sexual organs to their feet as a way to avoid shame and anxiety.

Those who enjoy having their faces stepped on may be trying to temporarily escape societal pressure regarding the dominant male role through this masochistic or subservient approach.

Although he didn't quite understand why big data was pushing these things to him.

He doesn't usually search for things like "jade feet" on his own initiative!

Do you like feet?

Lee Ji-eun's voice suddenly drifted over from the side.

Li Ran was immediately jolted awake.

broken!

I was just spacing out and thinking about foot fetishes, and now I've turned myself into a "foot fetishist"!

"I'm not a foot fetishist!" He immediately shook his head.

Lee Ji-eun raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you staring at my feet? Are they dirty?"

She lifted her foot slightly to look at it, then put it back down. "It didn't get dirty with anything!"

"Besides, I only asked if you like looking at feet, I didn't say you're a foot fetishist!"

Lee Ji-eun raised an eyebrow as she looked at the young guesthouse owner in front of her.

Li Ran remained silent for two seconds before deciding to give up struggling.

"I was just spacing out," he said, taking a sip of porridge from his bowl. "My eyes weren't focused at all."

"What were you thinking about just now?" Lee Ji-eun asked with a smile.

"I was thinking about my hair. I need a haircut," he said matter-of-factly, without the slightest hint of shame.

Lee Ji-eun looked down at her feet, then looked up at his hair, "...What's the connection between these two?"

"No, I didn't look at your feet. Our eyes just happened to meet. I really didn't look much."

Lee Ji-eun stared at him for a while, seemingly assessing the credibility of his explanation, then raised an eyebrow and said, "Alright."

Actually, the two weren't very familiar with each other.

After all, we've only met a few times.

Lee Ji-eun chose to save face for Lee Ran.

She lowered her head and continued drinking her porridge.

Li Ran felt that the matter was over and was about to pick up a fried egg.

Then she spoke up again, "I think you could actually be more honest."

"I wouldn't mind."

Lee Ji-eun blinked and looked at him.

She suddenly changed her mind again.

It seems like it's quite fun to tease him.

"...I'm really not a foot fetishist." His lips twitched.

"Okay~" She nodded perfunctorily.

That "inside" didn't sound like he believed it; it sounded more like "okay, whatever you say."

Li Ran picked up the fried egg, took a bite, and asked, "What does this 'nei' mean?"

"Yeah, that's it," Lee Ji-eun said, picking up a steamed bun and breaking it in half.

"But the tone of your voice..."

"What kind of tone is that?" She looked up, feigning innocence. "Wasn't I just affirming what you said?"

Li Ran glanced at her, feeling that she couldn't explain it to her, so she simply stopped talking and lowered her head to drink her porridge.

After about half a minute of silence, she suddenly spoke up again: "Actually, there's nothing wrong with liking feet."

Lee Ji-eun picked some vegetables into the pickled vegetable dish and casually said, "To each their own, I respect your preference."

She repeated herself, watching the expression on Li Ran's face, a slight smile playing on her lips.

"I'm really not a foot fetishist." He rolled his eyes.

"If it's not, it's not." She nodded, put the pickled vegetables in her mouth, and chewed.

Li Ran felt that explaining further would only make things worse, so she simply changed the subject, "Is there enough porridge? Would you like another bowl?"

Lee Ji-eun looked down at her bowl, shook her head, and said, "No need, this bowl of porridge is enough."

She finished the remaining porridge in her bowl, then stood up and said, "I'm leaving."

"Just leave the bowl on the table, I'll clean it up later." Li Ran picked up a piece of pickled vegetables.

Lee Ji-eun nodded.

She went to change her shoes.

Li Ran continued eating her steamed buns.

Hopefully, I won't really leave the impression of being a foot fetishist.

His illustrious reputation!

Li Ran chewed on the steamed bun, feeling a little regretful for having been distracted earlier.

He was labeled a "foot fetishist" for no reason.

I hope no one will talk behind his back.

That's so awkward.

Their conversation just now didn't seem very smooth.

Li Ran watched her leave the guesthouse.

He finished the remaining buns and began to clean up the mess.

He piled the dishes into the dishwasher in a rush, then washed his hands.

A gentle breeze blew through the courtyard, causing the branches and leaves to sway slightly, and the cool morning air drifted into the house.

He rubbed his eyes.
