Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!
Chapter 71 Meeting the Emperor
Consciousness returned to the cold, metallic monastery.
Lancelot checked the time again through the Thinker System, and realized that another day had passed in his world.
This is the time during which the Holy Blood Angels fleet travels through the warp.
With Lancelot's return, it seems that the Navigator has found that the Baal node, which would have taken much longer to lock, has become clear. Without hesitation, the Blood Angels seized this opportunity to warp out of the warp and return to Baal.
Lancelot also sensed the situation at that moment, gazing at the distant Baal II satellite that nurtured the archangels from a great distance.
After a brief silence, Lancelot took out the azure Tesseract he had acquired in the Marvel Universe.
Normally, the Space Stone in the Tesseract will have no effect if it is separated from the universe it represents; it will simply become an ordinary gem.
But it was different for Lancelot, who had traveled through time.
The power of the Cosmic Anchor is far more complex than that. Lancelot himself is this anchor, and after traversing the Warhammer universe, this anchor takes Lancelot to other universes.
Essentially, it's like a nail that pierces through one piece of paper and then into another. So, Lancelot's nail is actually a shared, or rather, a connection between the physical laws of several universes.
This characteristic will directly grant Lancelot the ability to use the Space Stone in the Warhammer universe.
The only slight drawback is that the Space Stone's power can only affect Lancelot at most, so the number of units and abilities it can affect is relatively limited.
In Lancelot's current perception, he can only teleport himself at most, and the destination should be a place he has been before.
This is not a rare thing.
The sorcerers of Kamar-Taj use slingshots, concentrating their spiritual power, drawing circles in front of their eyes with their hands, and silently reciting the place they want to go. They are then able to open golden portals by interfering with the power of spatial dimensions.
Essentially, they are using the power governed by the Infinity Stones. Lancelot now has what is essentially command authority, allowing him to easily return to the places he once stayed through the Infinity Stones.
In other words, Lancelot could teleport directly back to the flagship of the Weepers if he so desired.
Having spent a month in that place, Lancelot would never forget the unforgettable time he spent sparring with the Weeping Ones on the dueling platform and becoming one of them.
However, for now, Lancelot has an even more important mission.
The Blood Angels' fleet made a brief stop in Baal.
Dante then took Lancelot and boarded a ship belonging to the Imperial Ministry of the Interior, heading towards the Solar System and towards Terra, humanity's home planet.
Even with Commander Dante's political influence, it's impossible to say that he could directly lead the Baal fleet into the human homeworld.
The lessons learned from the Horus Rebellion were far too great for the human empire. However, Dante was able to leverage his connections on Terra to bring Lancelot to Terra through coordination and maneuvering.
As they drew closer to Terra, Lancelot continued his psionic meditation in a secluded chamber, occasionally drawing out the Emperor's Blood to communicate with the cold sun atop the throne through the power fluctuations of this blood.
"Neo... Neo..."
"Roman wolf, Roman wolf..."
A series of psionic signals were emitted.
Gradually, Lancelot felt that he seemed to have made some connection with the emperor on the throne.
After all, they are no longer Muggles without psionic abilities. Holding the blood of the Emperor, they are constantly getting closer to Terra. If they still can't contact the Emperor, then it seems a bit illogical.
As time passed, when the human home planet Terra appeared before Lancelot, it was not the blue planet he was familiar with.
The oceans on Earth's home planet were completely destroyed by a sacrifice long ago. Of course, even without this sacrifice, the oceans would have been emptied out anyway, because only in this way could hundreds of billions of humans be accommodated in this world.
All psionicists could see that the magnificent starlight radiated the terrifying power of an emperor. In order to maintain this beacon of humanity, 1000 psionicists were burned every day. The black ships that imprisoned psionicists kept running, keeping this decaying empire moving forward.
Humanity once thrived on this planet, a place brimming with ambition, but now everything has been replaced by bloated buildings and fanatical religious beliefs.
Robert Guilliman's suffering stemmed from the fact that he was a true idealist.
When he arrives in Terra, he will witness that everything he once swore to protect has vanished, and humanity has fallen into the darkest abyss he least wanted to see.
But what about Lancelot?
Looking at everything before him, Lancelot understood that countless people were suffering on this planet, and their pain and emotions would nourish the warp gods.
Even so, Lancelot did not feel despair.
There is still hope.
Lancelot always firmly believed this.
As the ship docked at the landing port, Dante was preparing to settle Lancelot in first, and then head to the High Lords Council for some business.
For Dante, getting an audience with the Imperial Guard, or even with the Emperor, was a major headache.
He was originally supposed to contact the most mysterious and perhaps most powerful imperial family in the human empire, but once the hatch was fully opened, all the problems were solved.
"Our lord has summoned you; please come with us."
Two tall figures clad in cloaks appeared before Lancelot and Dante, and at that moment Dante saw through the huge cloaks a golden quality that was even more dazzling than his own golden armor.
His heart was slightly shaken at that moment, and he was finally able to confirm Lancelot's identity.
The most difficult part is over.
Lancelot nodded, then looked at Dante.
"Thank you for your hard work, Commander."
Lancelot said this, while Dante shook his head:
"No, it was I who offended you, elder. The Holy Blood Angel will remember our agreement."
Lancelot nodded.
Lancelot then followed the two grey-robed figures into a special vehicle.
Throughout the entire process, Lancelot kept his eyes closed and rested. The gray-robed guards who were protecting Lancelot on either side also removed their disguises after entering the vehicle, revealing golden armor that was almost as valuable as a planet.
Their identities are self-evident; they are the pinnacle of alchemy, the Emperor's personal guards. Their creation process was free from any warp interference, and each of them was personally customized by the Emperor from childhood.
If Space Marines are merely mass-produced war expendables, then they are works of art meticulously crafted by the Emperor, the perfect human beings in the Emperor's dreams, and also the Emperor's loyal servants.
But such a loyal and incredibly powerful legion must protect the Emperor well, right?
Lancelot raised one eye to look at the golden armor of the Imperial Guards around him. Their equipment was much better looking than his own. He would definitely sneak a couple of pieces if he had the chance.
At this moment, the Imperial Guards were naturally unaware of the extent of Lancelot's offense, but they were indeed very curious about Lancelot's identity.
"Bring him to see me."
The guards who protect the Golden Throne almost all saw their great emperor in their dreams and received this guidance from the emperor.
All the Imperial Guards took this very seriously. Ever since the Emperor sat on the Golden Throne, he often used various dreams and metaphors to convey his will.
This time, almost all the Imperial Guards saw Dante, the leader of the Blood Angels, arrive on Earth with a special guest in their dreams, and the Emperor gave them orders to bring this guest to the Golden Throne!
I don't know how much time passed, but the car finally stopped.
The rest of the journey required walking. Lancelot didn't say anything more, looked up at the palace, took a deep breath, and walked towards the golden throne!
