Simultaneous Transmigration: Why is it all One Piece world?
Chapter 24 Don't you think... it's despicable?
The two walked side by side on the deserted street, the lights of the general's mansion behind them gradually fading into the distance, and the faint sound of crying was finally dispersed by the night wind.
Denjiro suddenly spoke.
"Are you leaving?"
Nock didn't stop walking, but just glanced at him sideways.
"How did you figure that out?"
"I feel," Denjiro chuckled. "You're different from me. What I want is for Wano Country to return to its former state, for those damned bastards to pay the price. You..."
He paused.
"You want more."
Nock paused for two seconds, then nodded.
"Yes, I want to go out to sea."
"Out to sea?" Denjiro raised an eyebrow. "Where to?"
"First, we'll go to Ghost Island and get a boat," Nock said. "Then we'll go somewhere else."
Denjiro frowned slightly; he was not familiar with the geography of this world.
"For what reason?"
Nock did not answer directly.
He looked up at the night sky, the moonlight shining on his face. His young face didn't show much expression, only a calm determination.
"Wano Country has given me almost everything I need."
He spoke slowly, as if he were organizing his thoughts.
"Swordsmanship is all about hard work; you can't teach me anything more. I've also reached the basics of Flowing Sakura; the rest depends on time and refinement. Famous swords..."
He paused.
"I have an idea too."
Looking at his profile, Denjiro suddenly realized that he couldn't quite understand this young man.
He had taught Nock swordsmanship, watched him grow stronger day by day, watched him grow step by step, but he didn't know when, this boy had gone to a place he couldn't understand.
Nock has a secret.
Denjiro always knew.
But he never asked.
"I..." Denjiro opened his mouth, but hesitated to speak.
Nock stopped and looked at him.
Denjiro remained silent for a long time before speaking.
"To be honest, even though you were trained by me, now..."
He gave a wry smile.
"I've actually become a little dependent on you."
Nock did not speak.
"You see, I couldn't have done this alone if it weren't for you." Denjiro's voice was somewhat low. "Killing Fukurokuju, taking control of Orochi, and finally forcing us to this point... you were involved in every step. Without you, I might still be Kyoshiro, still waiting, still enduring, not knowing how long I would have to wait."
He looked up at Nok.
"I know I have no right to keep you here. You want to become stronger, you want to go to bigger places, and that's all right. But..."
He fell silent again.
Nock waits.
"But I sometimes wonder, what can I accomplish if I'm all alone?"
Denjiro chuckled self-deprecatingly.
"I probably won't be able to do anything."
A night breeze blew by, bringing a chill.
Nock suddenly spoke.
You can do it.
Denjiro was taken aback.
Nock looked at him calmly.
"You endured it for sixteen years. Anyone else would have gone mad by now, but you didn't. You disguised yourself as someone else, maneuvered around Orochi, protected yourself, and protected Hiyori. Not everyone can do that."
He paused.
"Without me, it might take you longer, but you can definitely do it."
This is hardly a consolation, since Denjiro did indeed play a role in the original story's battle against Kaido.
Denjiro stared at him blankly for a long time, then suddenly smiled.
There was a hint of relief in that smile, but also a touch of melancholy.
"Hey kid, when did you learn to comfort people?"
Nock didn't answer, he just turned and continued walking forward.
Denjiro followed.
"I will take over Orochi's power as Kyoshiro," he said. "The people of Wano won't get better all at once, after all, Kaido is still around. But without that idiot's exploitation, things will at least be a little better."
He looked at Nok.
People like your parents are much rarer.
Nock paused for a moment.
It was just a fleeting moment.
Then continue forward.
"Thank you," he said.
Denjiro shook his head.
"I should be thanking you."
"Also, you could try going to the legendary Zou Island, where some of my former companions live; perhaps they can offer some assistance."
"it is good."
......
Outside the door, the moonlight was still bright.
Denjiro stood there, as if waiting for something.
Footsteps sounded.
He turned his head and saw a girl dressed in a simple kimono walking towards him.
"Miss Hiyori."
"Lord Denjiro," she said with a slight bow, "Is Lord Nok here?"
Denjiro nodded.
"It's inside."
Hiyori paused for a moment, then took a deep breath and pushed open the door to go inside.
Denjiro watched her figure disappear behind the door, his gaze somewhat complicated.
But he didn't say anything.
He simply turned around and continued waiting.
......
Inside the room, the candlelight flickered.
Nock is tidying up.
I heard soft footsteps behind me.
He didn't turn around.
"Hiyori?"
"It is I, Lord Nock."
Nock's hands didn't stop moving.
Since that conversation, Hiyori has rarely gone near him. When they do meet, she just gives a brief greeting and then leaves with her head down.
Nock thought this was good, it saved him a lot of trouble.
Why are you here again today?
"Here to say goodbye?" he asked without turning his head.
"Yes, and thank you for letting me kill the giant serpent with my own hands, for letting me take my revenge."
"I understand, it's what I should do. You can leave if there's nothing else."
"You probably think this is what I should do, but I must thank you and repay you!"
Hiyori didn't speak again, but instead, there was a rustling sound.
Nock frowned.
That sound...
He turned his head abruptly.
Then he froze.
Moonlight streamed in through the skylight, falling on that jade-like body.
The girl stood there, completely naked, the moonlight outlining her silhouette, every inch of her skin seemingly glowing. Her hair was loose, hanging down to her chest, partially obscuring her figure, yet only making her more alluring.
Nock's mind went blank for a moment.
A part of the body reacted uncontrollably.
Damn.
"Lord Nok," Hiyori said, her voice soft but exceptionally clear in the quiet basement.
"I know you're leaving."
She took a step forward.
"I know you blame my father; he failed the expectations of everyone in Wano Country."
Another step.
"But you saved me, even though we have nothing to do with each other, even though you hate me, you still raised me, helped me grow, and wished me revenge."
"You defeated the great serpent; you are the true hero, more worthy than my father. Although no one knows this yet, I do."
One more step.
She was almost in Nock's arms when the girl's unique fragrance wafted over her, mingling with the moonlight, the silence of the moment, and a certain ambiguous feeling that was hard to define.
"Let me repay you with my body."
she says.
"It also allows me... to atone for my father's sins."
Nock paused for a moment.
Then he reached out his hand.
A strong hand gripped her smooth chin, stopping her from moving forward.
Hiyori's body stiffened.
Nock lowered his head, his hot breath washing over her face. His eyes held desire, but more than that, a complex emotion.
Who do you think you are?
"To atone for sins with one's body?"
"Don't you think... it's despicable?"
Hiyori shuddered.
Despicable.
The two words were like ice water poured over Hiyori.
But strangely, her body became even hotter.
no.
not like this.
She thought to herself.
My body is only willing to be offered to Lord Nok.
But Nock didn't give her a chance to speak.
