You call Final Destination a safety education film?

In the days that followed, Lin Ye quickly completed the filming of his graduation project.

The remaining work is basically post-production.

Simply put, it involves processing the filmed footage through editing, special effects, color grading, and dubbing/mixing to create the final product.

With the system's support, Lin Ye can easily complete these tasks.

On an ordinary morning, Lin Ye called up the system as usual, ready to use his cheat code for post-production, when he suddenly realized something was wrong.

[Host: Linye]

[Permissions: Level 1]

[Mood value: 64335]

[Already redeemed: Final Destination series (3%), Hannibal (Season 1)]

My mood score was only over 40,000 yesterday, how did it suddenly jump to 60,000 today?

The growth of my emotional value has stagnated for a long time, with only a few sporadic gains each day.

Lin Ye raised an eyebrow in thought.

He took out his phone, searched for the hashtag "Final Destination" on Weibo, and then started viewing the content in chronological order.

Not long after, a viral video was discovered.

"Public benches in many places have broken and collapsed, injuring people, but this area has had zero accidents—the reason is quite unexpected!"

Lin Ye clicked on the interview video.

The video background shows public benches in the west of the city. A strong north wind is blowing, causing the host's hair to fly wildly in the air. She holds a microphone, and a middle-aged man in a thick cotton-padded coat stands beside her.

["Hello everyone. Recently, several public benches in our city have collapsed and injured people due to rust and loosening caused by age."]

"However, none of the seats installed in the same batch in the western part of the city have experienced any accidents. We learned that a kind-hearted citizen had reinforced the potentially hazardous seats in advance. Today we found this Mr. Chen."

The host walked over to the middle-aged man wearing a thick cotton-padded coat.

"Hello Mr. Chen, why did you take the initiative to reinforce these public seats?"

["My child posted a video in the family group chat, showing how various small hazards combined could lead to serious consequences. I noticed the chairs here were also loose, and since it's almost Chinese New Year, I was worried someone might fall and get hurt, so I used tools to reinforce them myself."]

Lin Ye suddenly realized what was happening and then turned off the video.

There's no need to watch the rest; it's basically the host asking what video it is, and then that Mr. Chen recommends "Final Destination."

Lin Ye didn't take it to heart, after all, it was just a trivial matter.

Lin Ye never imagined that the impact of this "small matter" would far exceed his expectations.

As the interview video went viral, more and more netizens came across the news and became curious about the video called "Final Destination" that Master Chen mentioned. So everyone flocked to search for it online.

After seeing this, netizens couldn't sit still and started checking everything around them. They discovered that there were hidden dangers everywhere.

Loose flowerpots on the balcony, old and leaky power strips, wobbly outdoor chairs, rusty railings... Minor problems that no one would normally pay attention to are magnified many times over under the influence of emotions.

Netizens took pictures of the problems they found and posted them online.

#Watching "Final Destination" helps identify potential hazards in daily life#

This topic immediately topped the local Weibo trending list, and the comments section was full of people checking for potential hazards.

"I just took down the rack outside the balcony where I hung cured meat and pickled vegetables. It swayed violently in the wind. I used to think it was fine, but after watching the video, I got more and more scared. If it really fell and hit someone, that would be the end of it."

"All the emergency lights in the hallway are broken, and the fire escape is cluttered with debris. If an accident happens, there's no way to escape. I've already taken photos and reported it."

"The manhole cover at the entrance of the community has a big crack, and it's wobbly when you step on it. I used to walk on it every day and didn't pay attention to it. Now I've taken a picture and sent it to the property management, just in case something really happens one day."

……

Fire and community safety departments quickly took notice of the matter, and following the online discussions, they also noticed Lin Ye's "Final Destination" video.

Not long after, the fire and safety departments issued an official announcement and even shared a video of "Final Destination" to popularize everyday safety knowledge and remind everyone to pay attention to small hidden dangers in life. They even made some pictures of common life hazards and publicized them widely.

Lin Ye's "Final Destination" has become a huge hit, not only being shared wildly by netizens but also receiving official endorsement, making it a popular safety warning video discussed nationwide before the Lunar New Year.

But Lin Ye, the author of "Final Destination," was completely unaware of this, as he was leisurely working on the post-production of his graduation project.

Before he knew it, it was afternoon. Lin Ye shut down his computer, got up, and prepared to go out for a nice meal to treat himself. He picked up his phone and found a bunch of messages.

Damn, I muted the video after watching that interview.

Lin Ye hurriedly opened the chat software, and as he looked at it, his expression turned strange.

What does it mean when "your video goes viral"?

Lin Ye seemed to sense something and opened Weibo again. The top trending topic was #WatchingFinalDestinationToCheckForHazardsInLife#.

The official announcements from the fire and safety departments even included a repost of a video from "Final Destination".

Most people would be excited to share their videos with those around them when they see them go viral.

But Lin Ye did not.

He felt that the whole thing was strange from beginning to end; the interview video went viral too quickly, almost eerily so.

Who would be interested in public seating?

The starting point for this incident to go viral was wrong.

Lin Ye followed the timeline of Weibo, taking screenshots of the earliest content and saving them, before starting to observe the details.

Webpage news, interview videos, WeChat official account articles...

Lin Ye recorded that information, trying to find commonalities among them.

Such comprehensive content, such a wide range of services...

Lin Ye quickly found a direction and began searching for specific information about those companies.

As expected, they are all subsidiaries of Xinghan Culture.

Lin Ye heard that familiar phrase.

"Don't be afraid, I've got your back."

Lin Ye laughed.

So it was you.

……

Counselor's Office.

The counselor's work is actually not much; Jiang Qingyue is currently handling the affairs of Xinghan Culture.

Her expression was serious and her demeanor cold, displaying a sharp edge befitting a female business elite.

Drip!

A message came from the chat software's special attention section. Jiang Qingyue clicked on it and saw only two nonsensical words.

"Thanks."

Jiang Qingyue's expression softened suddenly, and a faint smile appeared on her lips.

I didn't expect him to realize it so quickly.

In fact, Jiang Qingyue didn't expect this matter to go so far. She originally only intended to use Xinghan Culture's resources to help him build momentum first, and then...

Unexpectedly, it exploded.

And it's a massive explosion.

She also used this marketing opportunity to establish herself in the company.

Jiang Qingyue originally planned that after repaying the debt she owed Lin Ye, she would resign from her job as a counselor after a while and gradually reduce her contact with Lin Ye, so as not to have too much interaction with him.

But now, things have become even more complicated.

Jiang Qingyue sighed softly.

Her sigh contained a hint of joy that she herself was unaware of.
