Shen Qingqiu, accompanied by four constables, carried Master Cheng, and hurriedly headed towards the headquarters of the Six Doors.

Master Cheng was carried on a stretcher. Although his breathing had returned, it was so shallow that it was almost inaudible.

Gu Guanqi said he only had two quarters of an hour to live, so Shen Qingqiu naturally dared not delay in the slightest and quickened her pace. Fortunately, the four constables she had chosen were all skilled in light-footed kung fu, and their footwork was good, so they walked steadily without any bumps.

Just as they entered an old street called Fufeng Street,

Shen Qingqiu suddenly felt a tightness in his chest, sensing that something was wrong.

Her hand silently rested on the hilt of the knife at her waist.

"Be careful, everyone," she said in a low voice to the four people behind her.

Upon hearing this, the four constables immediately became alert, slowed their pace, and scanned their surroundings.

After walking another ten or so feet, there was a crossroads ahead.

Shen Qingqiu suddenly stopped.

She heard some unusual sounds—the faint, delicate rustling of clothes being torn in the wind, coming from the rooftops on either side.

"retreat!"

She gave a sharp shout, and her twin swords were already drawn.

Before he finished speaking, more than a dozen dark figures suddenly leaped down from the rooftops on both sides. They were all dressed in black and masked, their swords and knives flashing coldly, blocking all paths in front and behind them.

"Who goes there!" a constable shouted angrily, drawing his sword.

His answer was a long sword slashing down from the left. The sword strike was swift and fierce, carrying a sharp gust of wind, aimed straight for the constable's neck. The constable raised his sword to parry, but with a loud clang, he was jolted back three steps, staggering, his hand split open, blood flowing freely.

Shen Qingqiu's gaze sharpened.

With just this one move, she realized that these masked men's martial arts skills were far beyond those of ordinary street thieves. The one who made the move possessed profound internal strength and ruthless swordsmanship, and there were more than a dozen of them in total; they were all likely formidable opponents.

"Protect people, stay close to me."

Without wasting words, Shen Qingqiu crossed his twin swords and shot out like an arrow.

Her swordsmanship was completely different from that of ordinary swordsmen.

Ordinary swordsmen mostly use their swords with a wide, sweeping motion, relying on brute force to win. But Shen Qingqiu's sword is fast, extremely fast, so fast that it only leaves behind streaks of silver-white afterimages in the air, as if her hands are holding not two swords, but two beams of light.

With a horizontal slash of his left hand, he deflected an oncoming sword strike, while his right hand followed suit, thrusting out the blade like a viper's tongue, aiming straight for the masked man's throat. The man hurriedly dodged to the side, but was a fraction too slow; the blade grazed his neck, sending up a cloud of blood.

One move to kill the enemy.

Shen Qingqiu kept moving, her twin swords whirling like the wind, their sharp light forcing back the three masked men who rushed at her simultaneously. The brilliance of her swordsmanship lay in the seamless coordination of her twin swords, one for offense and one for defense, one for advance and one for retreat. When her left-hand sword blocked the enemy's attack, her right-hand sword would seize the opportunity to strike; when her right-hand sword was blocked, her left-hand sword would already be thrust out from another angle.

Two masked men attacked from the left and right, one wielding a sword and the other a mace. The swordsman moved with agility, his sword tip aimed at Shen Qingqiu's left rib; the mace wielder moved with force, his iron mace whistling as it struck her right shoulder.

Instead of retreating, Shen Qingqiu advanced, slightly shifting his body to avoid the sword's edge. He then raised his left-hand saber, the back of the blade striking the iron mace, using the force to deflect it. At the same time, his right-hand saber swept upwards, the blade slicing across the swordsman's wrist, severing his tendons, and the longsword clattered to the ground.

She kicked the man away, sending him flying into another masked man who was lunging at her from behind. The two rolled around in a heap.

After three rounds, five men were down on the ground.

With twin swords in hand, Shen Qingqiu moved with the agility of a female leopard, dodging and weaving through the attacks of more than ten people without ever being at a disadvantage. Her swordsmanship was swift and precise, each strike aimed at vital points, leaving no room for error.

A masked man, his hair half-cut off by her blade, was terrified and staggered back several steps. Another man seized the opportunity to attack from behind, his spear lashing out like a venomous dragon, aiming straight for her heart. Shen Qingqiu didn't turn her head; she parried with her left hand, deflecting the spear tip, and with her right hand, she slashed back, the blade sliding along the spear shaft, severing three of the man's fingers.

Amidst screams, Shen Qingqiu turned and unleashed both swords, forcing back the two men charging at him from the front.

She stood in the middle of the street, twin swords held horizontally in front of her, a few drops of blood staining her robes, yet her face showed no sign of panic. Her eyes remained calm and sharp, instead scrutinizing the enemies around her.

She killed four of the dozen or so masked men and wounded six others, and the remaining few dared not attack again.

"The Crimson Serpent Divine Constable truly lives up to his name."

A hoarse voice rang out from a small alley.

A burly, masked man slowly emerged, carrying a large, ghost-headed saber in his hand, the copper rings on the back of the blade clanging with each step. His exposed eyes were sinister and ruthless.

Immediately afterwards, another person appeared from each of the several directions.

Holding two swords, Shen Qingqiu quickly scanned her surroundings. She walked alongside two constables, protecting Master Cheng and the two constables carrying the stretcher behind her.

"superior!"

At a command, the masked men moved out once again.

Shen Qingqiu immediately stepped forward.

Just then, the young constable beside her suddenly moved.

However, instead of charging forward to meet the enemy, the young constable suddenly stabbed Shen Qingqiu with his knife.

Shen Qingqiu reacted quickly, turning to the side, but the opponent's movements were too sudden and without warning. She was ultimately unable to completely dodge; the blade tore through her robes, pierced her flesh, and went straight into her chest.

Shen Qingqiu's body stiffened abruptly.

She looked down at the knife, its blade stained with crimson blood, dazzlingly bright in the sunlight.

She looked up.

The young constable's hand gripping the hilt of his knife trembled violently; his face was ashen, and his eyes were filled with pain and struggle.

"Lord Shen... I'm sorry..."

His voice trembled, tears streamed down his face, and he recoiled, "I have my reasons... I couldn't... I'm sorry..."

Shen Qingqiu slashed back with his right hand, the blade flashing like a bolt of lightning, slicing across the young constable's neck.

A head flew into the air, blood gushing from its cavity and splattering all over the ground. The head landed on the ground, rolled twice, and the expression on its face remained one of pain and struggle, tears still clinging to its cheeks.

Shen Qingqiu covered her wound with her left hand, and blood gushed out from between her fingers, instantly staining half of her robe red. The knife had pierced very deep. Although she instinctively turned to avoid her heart at the last moment, the wound had penetrated through, and every breath brought a piercing pain.

however,

They didn't give her a chance to catch her breath and immediately surrounded her again.

Shen Qingqiu fought back fiercely, but was defeated one after another. Soon, her other three constables were all killed, and even the unconscious old boxer Cheng was finished off with a fatal blow.

Forced into a corner, Shen Qingqiu gritted her teeth, loosened her grip on the wound with her left hand, and tightened her grip on the twin swords again. Blood flowed from her chest, dripping down her robes onto the bluestone slabs, but she seemed to feel no pain. Suddenly, she sprang up, drawing both swords simultaneously, their blades flashing like snow, slashing at the two masked men blocking her path.

That's a desperate fighting style, leaving no way out and no room for retreat.

The two masked men were so frightened by her reckless actions that they instinctively retreated. Taking advantage of the situation, Shen Qingqiu broke through the encirclement, slashed down the third man who was rushing towards her from the left, and ran wildly towards the street corner without stopping.

"Chase her! Don't let her get away!"

The burly, masked man shouted and led his men in hot pursuit.

Shen Qingqiu rushed out of the street corner and turned into a narrow alley. Blood gushed from her chest, leaving a crimson footprint on the bluestone pavement with each step. Her vision began to blur, her breathing became more and more rapid, and her steps grew heavier and heavier.

She bit her tongue, using the excruciating pain to forcefully dispel the darkness before her eyes, leaped onto the wall, and ran wildly across the roof tiles.

Behind them, the masked man's shouts grew closer and closer.

……

On the long street,

Gu Guanqi bought some vegetables and then turned into the alley to take a shortcut.

Just as he reached the corner, he suddenly heard the sound of clothes rustling in the wind above him. Immediately afterward, a figure tumbled down from the rooftop and crashed heavily onto the bluestone slab, splattering a cloud of blood mist.

Gu Guanqi's pupils contracted.

It was Shen Qingqiu.

She was covered in blood, her blue official robe soaked through and clinging tightly to her body. Blood was still seeping from her chest. She still held her twin swords in her hands, the bloodstains on the blades dried and turned into dark brown patches.
