Time Travel 04: I Fight the US in the Middle East

The setting sun shone on the Victoria base. Although the sunlight was no longer very glaring, the ground temperature was still very high, like an oven!

Apart from those who had to carry out the mission, almost no one was out and about, and no one noticed that three drones were swooping down on the soft oil tank!

US military bases are typically characterized by strict external controls but relaxed internal controls!

At this moment, the RQ-11 drone was already accelerating!

As the tail propeller spun faster, the noise increased, but... the diesel generators inside the base were even noisier! No one could hear the barely audible sound from here, like a mosquito humming!

Three drones began to climb!

We've been flying very low all along, and now that we want to increase our speed as quickly as possible, we need to think of some other ways!

Climb to about 30 meters, then dive!

With the movement of the tail control surfaces, the drone swooped down, already pouncing menacingly towards the soft oil tank!

Beneath the machine, the blades gleamed with a sharp light!

Dive, accelerate!

Forty kilometers per hour, sixty kilometers per hour!

When the RQ-11 drone swooped down onto the soft fuel tank, it had already accelerated to 80 kilometers per hour!

In the world of martial arts, speed is the only way to break through!

If a car hits a wall at this speed, it will be smashed to pieces!

Just as the three drones were about to make contact with the soft oil tank, Azam quickly pushed the control stick, leveled the aircraft, and the utility knife blade under the fuselage accurately pierced into it!

This is just a tiny, insignificant opening, but it's only the beginning!

The drone suddenly encountered resistance and paused for a moment. Even the propellers felt something was different and made a whirring sound with difficulty. After a brief delay, the drone continued to move forward happily!

Buzz!

The drone flew close to the top of the soft oil can. Below the drone, a utility knife moved along the surface of the soft oil can, and a hole that kept getting bigger appeared behind it!

A pale yellow liquid is gushing out from this opening! This is JP-8 aviation fuel!

Flexible fuel tanks have many advantages: they are lightweight, foldable, and corrosion-resistant, but they are not as resistant to mechanical damage as steel fuel tanks!

It may be cut after being scratched by a sharp object, or even cracked due to long-term exposure to harsh environments and surface wear!

At a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, the drone's blades act like a high-speed cutting machine, easily slicing open soft oil cans!

Of course, the cutting process encountered resistance, so the drone's speed decreased more and more...

Finally, after gliding for about twenty meters, the drone could no longer move forward even a centimeter and came to a complete stop!

At the fire station, watching the scene on the screen, all the Mahdi Army soldiers widened their eyes, their worship of Azam flowing like a never-ending river!

Azam's tactics really worked!

Just one last step!

Azam pressed the dismantle button on the control panel.

Bang! Bang!

The RQ-11 drone completely disintegrated into several parts, and the battery was also disintegrated independently. And this time... when it broke apart, it hit the metal wire that was prepared below, short-circuiting the positive and negative terminals!

A few seconds later, smoke began to rise from inside, and a few seconds after that, flames appeared!

call!

A tiny flame shot out!

Swish!

The flames spread rapidly along with the flowing JP-8 aviation fuel, engulfing all directions!

In 08, the US military was already using lithium-ion batteries extensively in drones. These batteries can catch fire and explode in just a few seconds if they short-circuit!

Then, the second and third flexible oil tanks burst into flames! An unquenchable fire was thus formed!

At the same time, under Azam's precise operation, the second and third drones cut open the outer skin of the second and third oil tanks... Before they even short-circuited, the flowing fuel had already come into contact with the open flame and was burning fiercely!

Three drones were reduced to ashes in the fire, and the fire department will never be able to find out how the fire started. This is much more covert than using explosives to start a fire!

The first step of the plan was perfect!

"Quickly, everyone go change into your firefighting gear!" Ali-Hazem said excitedly.

"There is indeed a fire over there, but... will they come to us for help? Ouch!" The one who had just asked "Ten Thousand Whys" spoke up again, only to get slapped again!

The second step of the Azam Plan: wait for the US military to request reinforcements! At that point, even the most meticulous defenses outside would be meaningless, and our side would be able to advance unimpeded!

Waiting for a distress call from the US military!

Victoria Base, Pilots' Dining Room.

In any country with a coastline, the meal standards for pilots are the second highest, with submariners being the first. Of course, in countries without a navy, the standards for pilots are the highest.

Due to time constraints, there are still many shortcomings in the construction of the base. Because there are not enough restaurants, the officers' restaurant and the pilots' restaurant are combined.

It's dinnertime now, and the table is laden with fresh steaks, roast meats, pasta... and you can even enjoy a glass of red wine...

While ordinary soldiers outside were eating fast food like hamburgers and fries, they were having a feast!

The pilots ate while they continued their discussion.

"I heard that a group of armed men who came from Sadr City have arrived near the prison, but they haven't made a move yet. They're probably waiting to act at night."

"Perfect timing! We were complaining about the daytime heat, the night is our stage... Who said the Mahdi army is so capable? Their operation plan is utterly ridiculous!"

"Yes. It's said that the new commander of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division is incompetent and was bought into the position. It's a pity about his soldiers..."

Listening to his men's discussion, base commander Sean Gaines gave them a disdainful look.

Hmph, you idiots! Which general didn't buy his way up? If you had found the trick sooner, you might have been promoted too. Why would you have risked your lives flying helicopters?

However... with several division commanders killed in action, it's really hard to say where is safe!

Wait, what's going on outside? I think I see... flames rising up?

What was just a small flame has turned into a raging inferno!

"Oh no, the oil depot is on fire!" Sean Gaines's expression changed instantly, and he shouted, "Alvin, Alvin, you idiot, get someone to put out the fire!"

Lieutenant Alvin rushed in, his face filled with panic: "Commander, the fire is too fierce. Our own fire trucks are simply not enough, and..."

"And what?"

"Firefighters might not be willing..."

In the fire incident, firefighters did their best, some died, and some were injured. After the incident, these people were forgotten! The US government had no intention of properly resettling these people; in the eyes of capitalists, they were objects to be abandoned.

As a result, firefighters across the United States were disheartened!

They'd rather rescue a small animal than fight a fire! They avoid dangerous fires if possible! Even military firefighters are no exception!

"What should we do then?"

"There's a local fire station ten kilometers away. Why don't we call them and ask them to come and help put out the fire..."
