Game of Thrones: Dragons have three heads, not three-headed dragons.

Chapter 44 Negotiations with the Governor, Selection of Personnel to Guard Rhys

After Oris finished speaking, several heads suddenly appeared on the opposite city wall. Oris looked over and saw that they all had silver-gold hair. When they saw Oris riding a wolf the size of a dwarf elephant, they started chattering on the city wall. Oris got impatient with their conversation, took two steps forward on his Durotan and shouted, "Who among you is in charge? Come out and talk to me, or I'm going to attack the city."

As soon as Oris finished speaking, several heads shrank back instantly. Oris laughed when he saw their reaction, recalling a saying from his past life: this world is like a giant makeshift troupe. These governors of Oris, who stood at the pinnacle of Oris's power, were just as timid and cowardly as the slaves they despised when faced with life and death.

Just as Oris was pondering, the gates of Ries burst open with a bang. Oris stared at the three silver-haired, stout men who emerged. The leader was tall and handsome, with light blue eyes and sparse silver stubble. The other two, one fat and one thin, were still considered handsome compared to ordinary people. Under Oris's gaze, the group continued forward until the leader stopped twenty paces in front of Oris, bowing his head and saying, "You must be Lord Oris-Belleris. I am one of the governors of Ries, my name is Trigger-Omeren." Hearing this name, Oris felt a sense of dread and immediately shouted to his back, "Jora, come and meet your enemy!" A moment later, a middle-aged, bald man ran out from Oris's ranks.

Seeing this, Oris patted Jorah on the shoulder and said, "Go see if he's your enemy." Jorah didn't move, but glanced at him and said, "Yes, he is Trigg-Omeren." Hearing Oris mention the name, Trigg felt a sore throat, as if he had drunk a whole bottle of strangulation poison. Thinking of his current situation, Trigg grinned at Jorah and said, "Your wife has been staying at my manor. I saw her missing you, my lord, before I came." Oris smiled at Trigg's good-natured demeanor, but out of respect for Governor Oris, after a brief chuckle, Oris looked at the group and said, "Your presence here represents the city's Governor's Council's agreement to negotiate. What are your conditions?"

Before the group could speak, Auris waved his hand to interrupt, saying, "Forget about empty talk about preserving autonomy. I don't want a state within a state existing in my territory." Auris waited for their reply, but disappointingly, the unfortunate Governor's Council genuinely intended to negotiate autonomy with Auris. After his interruption, they were speechless. Seeing their faces flushed, Auris spoke again, "Here's what we'll do: once you surrender Ries, I can guarantee the safety of your family members and property, but you can't take your slaves. After you pledge allegiance to me, you will receive a piece of land in the disputed territory and become hereditary nobles. This is the bottom line I can offer. You can go back and negotiate." After saying this, Auris ignored the three and rode his Durotan towards the army. The three, seeing this, remained silent and walked anxiously towards the city gates of Ries.

Upon returning to his tent, Oris was immediately approached by Daren to inquire about the negotiations. Oris could tell from Daren's expression that the young man intended to force an attack on Ries. Oris slapped Daren on the head. "I know you want revenge for the slaves, but many have already died in this war. I don't want any more." Oris then ignored Daren and asked Jorah, "How's the wildfire preparation going?" Jorah, following behind Oris, replied, "It's been unloaded from the ship. It should be sealed in two days." Oris nodded. He was prepared for the wildfire. After attacking Tyrosi, Oris had transported the remaining wildfire along with Tyrosi's, intending to prioritize weakening Ries's defenses once the fighting began, thus facilitating subsequent battles.

However, judging from today's negotiations, it's uncertain whether this war will actually break out. At this moment, Oris is facing a dilemma: after taking over Ries, Oris will need to expand the fortress, leaving him with limited time. Several major cities in the Three Daughters Kingdom require generals with prestige and strength to guard them. It's already a done deal that Mil will be guarded by Rag and Tyros will be guarded by Rams. Both of these cities have experienced Oris's bloody suppression. Although these two are still young, they are steady in their work. As long as they have officials who understand the local situation to assist them, there shouldn't be any problems. However, the personnel guarding Ries are causing Oris a problem. Although Daren is about the same age as Rag, he is too impulsive and naive. If Ries has also been ravaged by Oris, Daren can still keep it under control. But after peacefully taking over Ries, there will definitely be a lot of intrigue and scheming within the city, which is not something a child like Daren can handle.

After much deliberation, Salado Sun seemed to be the most suitable candidate, but he had never been someone Orris trusted. Just as Orris was racking his brains, Jennifer entered Orris's tent after giving her a report, looking at him with her alluring eyes. Upon seeing her like this, Orris immediately opened his arms, and Jennifer took the opportunity to throw herself into his embrace. Feeling the softness of Jennifer's body against him, Orris asked, "What is your father doing?" Jennifer reached out and stroked Orris's face. "He's organizing the sailors to deal with the wildfire; after all, those are dangerous items."

Oris chuckled and asked, "How many sons and daughters did your father have?" Jennifer squirmed twice in Oris's arms. "My father had many wives, but he didn't favor many children. Besides my two sisters, he probably valued Pizarro the most." Ignoring Jennifer's fidgeting hands, Oris began to consider arrangements for Salado.

Nothing more was said that night. After enjoying Jennifer's dressing service, Oris left the tent and, under Alexandra's watchful gaze, headed towards Salado's tent. Salado-Sean, who had been busy all night, was just about to get some sleep when he was awakened by the sounds of Oris and Tian Shou coming in. Oris looked at the exhausted Salado and said, "You seem to have lost a lot of weight recently. You must be exhausted."

Oris's initial concern caught Salado off guard, but Salado, being a smooth operator, accepted Oris's concern and began chatting with him. After about twenty minutes of conversation, Oris revealed the purpose of his trip: to take Salado's son, Pizarro, as his servant.
