Yu-Gi-Oh!: Don't you have your own cards?

In order to make money, Konami later created many enhanced versions of the original cards.

Examples include Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (with alternate forms such as Blue-Eyes Sub-White Dragon and True Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon); Yugi's Dark Magician (with an alternate form such as Dark Magician - Dark Wizard); and Jonouchi's Red-Eyes Black Dragon (with an alternate form such as Red-Eyes Sub-Black Dragon).

Among them, the five minor monsters used by Isis in the original storyline—[Argento], [Drowga], [Kelborg], [Mudora], and [Keldo]—also have new aliases. They are [Ancient Guardian Argento], [Foresighted Drowga], [Ancient Vanguard Kelborg], [Sword Priest Mudora], and [Statue of the Destiny Keldo], which are the infamous Earth Angels series in later generations.

Among them, apart from the effect of [Zolga the Foresight] being somewhat lackluster, the effects of the other four cards can only be described as overpowered.

With their powerful graveyard-building and graveyard-controlling effects, these four cards were wildly popular among card players as soon as they were released.

At that time, the Earth Angel deck also encountered another outrageous series—Tears of Elegy. Thus, the strongest deck in history was born!

Can you imagine the horror of your turn, where you make one move and your opponent makes a dozen or more?

Of course, even without considering the synergy between the Tears of Elegy and the Earth Angel, the Earth Angel's deck-destroying ability is still quite formidable.

According to incomplete statistics, at its peak, the Earth Angel had a more than 70% chance of wiping out the opponent's deck in the first round and achieving a pseudo-FTK (First-Turn Kill). It was truly a disruptor of the meta.

However, the euphoria was short-lived. Not long after, Konami, perhaps realizing the power of these four elements, immediately implemented one of its restrictive measures—the Forbidden and Limited Card List.

Even today, these four Earth Angels still retain their value as two banned cards and two restricted cards.

In addition, the card Isis used, "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld," was also a legendary beast card.

This card was first released in 2002, and its initial effect only required that you have 15 or more cards in your graveyard to activate.

After research, card players discovered that by using a series of card-filtering techniques such as "Hand Elimination" and "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld," they successfully achieved a First-Turn Kill (FTK) in the ancient environment.

Later, after more than a decade of being added to and removed from the ban/limited card list, the effect of "Reversal of the Real World and the Underworld" was finally nerfed to "Activation condition: Both players have 15 or more cards in their graveyards" before it was finally released.

Of course, the effect of "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" was adjusted in 2015, while the release of Earth Angel was in 2023.

Generally speaking, it is impossible for anyone to encounter the combination of the original version of "Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" and the later Earth Angels.

But today, You Tian encountered it!

This is the "heaviest cage of the future"! Are you even human? You're blatantly printing cards on the spot, aren't you?!

You Tian stared at Isis Gev's first edition of "The Reversal of the Realm and the Underworld" with twitching eyes, then looked at his empty grave.

He looked again at Isis's exquisite face.

Oh, what a nice girl, how could she be such a beast?

No wonder he said "I'll defeat her in one turn," it's like he has a next turn! Thank goodness Malik didn't give you [Executioner Macula], otherwise even if the Pharaoh came, you'd get FTK!

Isis on the other side seemed oblivious to You Tian's strange expression and continued playing.

"Mr. You Tian, my turn isn't over yet!"

You Tian: Hehe, whatever you want, I don't want to play anymore.

Isis drew another card from her hand.

"I activate the Spell Card 'Monster Reborn' from my hand. I will Special Summon 'Gravekeeper' from my Graveyard to my field."

[The High Priest Guarding the Tomb] [Original Attack Power: 2000]

"The special effect of [The High Priest of the Graveyard]: This card gains 200 ATK for each 'Graveyard Guardian' monster in my Graveyard!"

"There are now 11 monsters with 'Gravekeeper' in their names in my graveyard, therefore, the [Gravekeeper High Priest]'s attack power increases by 2200!"

[The High Priest Guardian of the Tomb] [Attack Power: 4200]!!!

You Tian: ...

"Next, I'll place one more card face down from my hand, and the turn ends!"

You Tian looked at the other party's territory, then at his own grave.

"To be honest, Miss Isis..."

"Hmm?" Isis looked up in confusion.

"Did you never intend to save your brother at all?"

Isis's expression turned somewhat sad.

"Mr. You Tian, just as I said before, the cage that imprisons our clan is too sturdy."

"Without people who can still move forward even in the face of despair, I don't think my brother would have been saved!"

At this point, Isis gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and bowed deeply.

"I know these cards summoned by the millennium jewelry are terrifying. Please forgive me for the cruel trial I have prepared for you, but I have no other choice."

"But, if it's you, there should still be hope!"

"Please, you must defeat me!"

You Tian: Hehe.

I do feel the despair, but as for moving towards the future, I don't want to take a single step right now!

You Tian frowned, looking helplessly at Isis's situation.

"Miss Isis, if I may be frank, with your abilities, you could easily rescue Malik yourself; there's no need for me!"

Isis looked somewhat disappointed.

"Mr. You Tian, you don't understand. Fate is a ruthless creature. We are nothing but playthings in her hands, and she will never allow playthings like us to challenge her."

At this point, Isis raised her head again.

"Only you, only a traveler from another world like you, have the right to challenge fate!"

"Sa, Mr. Yutian, please defeat me and then rescue Malik!"

You Tian's expression turned cold.

"My turn, draw a card."

Seeing that You Tian had finally started his turn, Isis was both surprised and saddened.

"I activate Gevulcan, [Reversal of the World and the Underworld]."

Isis LP: 4000 → 3000

Swish swish swish swish!

With the activation of the Isis Trap, Yutian's entire deck was sent to the graveyard.

[YouTian Deck: 0]

"Sa, Mr. Yutian, please defeat me!" Isis said expectantly.

"Miss Isis..."

You Tian lowered his head.

"I refuse!"

"What?!" Isis exclaimed in shock.

"Mr. You Tian, what are you saying! You...!"

"I said! I refuse! I refuse to break the fate of the Ishdar clan for you!" Yu Tian stared coldly at Isis.

"What utter bullshit about the cage of fate! I don't accept it!"

"Fate is bullshit! Your Ishdar clan has absolutely nothing to do with me!"

"I don't deny that some people are born unlucky."

"Some people are born into a bad family and encounter some bad things."

"Orphaned at a young age, with indifferent relatives! I'm left to live a lonely life in this world!"

"These terrible things have nothing to do with me, yet I have to suffer the injustice they bring!"

At this point, You Tian choked up a little.

"But if fate is unfair to you, then fight! Fight! Steal! Take back what belongs to you!"

"Instead of sitting here on the street corner, begging for a penny from a passerby!"

Isis stared at You Tian in disbelief, her pupils trembling slightly.

"What do you mean, 'Please let me defeat you'?!"

Why should you entrust your own destiny to someone else?

"Miss Isis!"

Isis's eyes were fixed on You Tian.

You Tian: "Now I'm asking you, do you still want me to defeat you?"

Should we go and fight for it ourselves?

Isis was filled with mixed feelings; how could she not want that too?

Mr. You Tian may not have known that the moment he put on the thousand-year-old jewelry, he saw the mockery of fate.

I am just a mortal, how can I fight against fate?

"Mr. You Tian..."

Suddenly, Isis choked on her words, unable to finish her explanation.

The Ishtar clan has been bound by fate for far too long. Over time, they've become like watchdogs of destiny.

While shouting to break free of the chains she had imposed, it also tore at those who tried to free it.

Is it reasonable to leave Malik's matter to You Tian, a complete stranger?

Yes! To hell with fate!

Why should I pass on my own responsibilities to others?

Thinking of this, Isis slowly raised her head, her gaze sharpening.

"Mr. You Tian! I'll beat you up right here!"

"Malik, I'm going to rescue him myself!"

"I won't rely on anyone else anymore!"

Looking at Isis's appearance, You Tian smiled and nodded.

"Miss Isis."

"Um?"

You Tian casually wiped away the snot that was running down his nose.

You've said something wrong!

Isis: "What is it?"

At this point, You Tian pointed at Isis.

"You have absolutely no chance of winning!"
