The Holy Commandment, the standard training ground.

The entire venue was emptied of people, leaving only Leo in the football field-sized space.

All the training equipment around were quietly in place, heavy sandbags hung from the iron frame, chainsaw sword practice stakes stood on the edge, and shooting targets and combat dummies were lined up along the wall.

These days have been so peaceful; everything is proceeding smoothly.

Leo spends all his time here, like a child who has found a new stick and is eager to find a patch of grass to test its feel.

He wasn't wearing power armor, only long pants, and stood in the center of the arena, his bare upper body exposed to the cold air. Pale golden psionic energy flowed almost liquid through his chest, shoulders, arms, and waist, the light slowly meandering along his lines before finally dissipating into tiny particles from his fingertips.

The temperature in the hall had dropped below zero.

Centered on Leo, a thin layer of frost covered the floor around his feet, continuously creeping out along the metal gaps until it condensed into marks on the lower edge of the wall.

Leo looked down at his hands, white mist dissipating from his mouth.

He knew he was a psionicist, and unlike others, his power came from the Emperor.

Previously in Terra, the nature of this psionic energy itself suppressed demons, and coupled with the Primarch's powerful physique, it made him feel like he was harvesting crops when he fought those filthy things.

Leo pursed his lips, and name after name flashed through his mind.

Chancellor Makador's psionic energy can envelop the entire planet and accelerate time, and the Emperor can pull the Primarch Khan back from the brink of death and bring him back to life with a wave of his hand.

He raised his right hand, palm up.

A soft glow slowly condensed, like a quiet, floating little sun, neither dazzling nor scorching, its brightness fluctuating with his breath.

Maybe he could do something too? Leo recalled Magnus, the scene when that monster knocked him down.

Leo stared at the ball of light, a certain thought popping into his mind.

Then some outlines appeared in his mind: the various pieces of equipment that were sitting still around the training ground.

The thought had barely formed when a slight tremor came from the training ground.

Immediately afterwards, everything in the arena, except for himself, plummeted upwards. The sandbags detached from the vertical rails, the weapon cabinet flipped over, the barbells and chains rattled, and even the chains securing the training robotic arms were stretched taut, floating like inflated balloons.

Gravity flipped the ceiling, and a series of muffled thuds echoed from the ceiling.

Leo looked up at the bizarre scene, savoring the novel experience.

The next moment, the objects that had floated up fell down one after another, but just as they were about to hit the ground, they were held up by an invisible hand and stopped at a low altitude before slowly drifting down.

He dared not overdo it; the ship was in the warp, and if the Geller Force broke, things would be disastrous.

Leo then turned his head and his gaze fell on the training dummy next to him.

The dummy had floated up earlier, but now it stands crookedly in place, as if something is different about it.

Leo walked over, his brows slowly furrowing, and two red marks appeared on the metal plate on his face.

"Blood?"

But this is clearly a mannequin, it doesn't even have eyes, so what kind of blood and tears are these? Is it protesting that I'm abusing it?

Leo reached out, dipped his fingertip in the water, and smelled it.

It was indeed blood.

!

Just then, he heard the sound of wind.

But nothing in the training field was being blown about, and his skin didn't feel any sensation of being blown.

What is that?

Leo's shoulders tensed abruptly, his right hand clenching into a fist. He was ready to smash anything that appeared before him.

But then an unexpected scene unfolded before my eyes.

The illusion struck.

He saw some restless blue figures, their outlines blurred, jumping around like they were trapped in some kind of container. Someone dragged them out one by one and executed them on the spot.

Are these demons? I've heard that strange things happen in the warp.

The video hasn't stopped yet.

And some of these blue things didn't even get dealt with, they weren't even dragged away before the containers holding them just ran away on their own?!

Then the sound of the wind disappeared.

The strange feeling dissipated as well.

Leo suddenly realized he was making a fuss over nothing. He loosened his fist. Was this a prophecy? Could there be such a nonsensical prophecy?

He then thought about it and realized it made sense, after all, it was the power of an emperor.

.

Outside the training ground, Kara stood guard at the entrance as usual.

She was wearing black power armor, stood ramrod straight, and responded to the greetings of passing crew members with a gentle smile.

An old sailor carrying a repair kit walked over, stopped when he saw her, and somewhat awkwardly took off his hat.

"Sister, I've always wanted to thank you."

Kara looked at him and smiled:

"Please speak."

The old sailor's face showed a hint of composure.

"I broke my leg in the next passageway a few days ago. If you hadn't passed by, called the medical nun, and stayed until you made sure I was alright before leaving, I'd probably still be lying under the freight elevator right now."

Kara said softly, "It's what I should do. How are you recovering?"

"Much better, much better." The old sailor nodded hurriedly, his eyes a little hot. "It's all thanks to you that my old bones can still work for Your Highness."

Kara responded with a smile, her fingertips habitually rubbing behind her left ear, where there was an old scar resembling a flower petal, which she had tattooed herself when she was very young.

Yes, you should smile like that, gently, in a way that makes everyone feel at ease, and without making any mistakes.

Since becoming a battle nun, she has always demanded this of herself: to take care of the people of the empire around her as much as possible, even if it's just a word of comfort, a moment of pause, or an outstretched hand.

A breeze blew in from the ventilation vents, carrying the chill that had seeped out of the training ground, and her back involuntarily straightened a little.

This is a psionic phenomenon.

The Primarch is training inside.

Come to think of it, she had seen similar scenes when she was a child...

Don't get distracted! Kara, you are the Primarch's chief guard. Your job is to stay here and protect the people inside.

After a while, the door opened.

When Leo came out, Kara immediately handed him warm water and a towel.

"Please enjoy, Your Highness."

Kara looked at him, where the lingering golden afterglow still remained.

Psionic power is poison, she was taught this when she grew up at Loyalty Academy. Psionicists are also time bombs in the Empire world, and they will bring disaster behind the veil.

So she herself also loathed psionics, but the Primarch was different. He didn't have the stench that psionicists exuded; instead, his radiance smelled like a warm blanket after being sun-dried, which was very comforting.

At that moment, Catherine walked briskly past from the other end of the passage, a data pad tucked between her fingers, as if she were on her way to the bridge.

She stopped and nodded to the two of them.

Catherine looked at Leo with a serious expression.

"I checked the route to the warning planet again. The navigator warned of signs of a subspace storm ahead. It's not very big for now, but it's best to keep an eye out."

After listening, Leo said, "I understand, thank you for your hard work."

Catherine didn't linger and turned to leave.

Leo gripped a towel and wiped the water off his shoulders as he walked out. Just as he withdrew his psionic energy, the frost on the ceiling melted and dripped all over him.

When passing sailors saw him, they would first salute him, and then their gaze would naturally drift toward Kara.

"Sister, could you please watch my child again after evening prayers? She keeps saying she's having nightmares."

"Okay, I'll come find you when I'm done with my work."

"Sister, I've saved some hot soup for you."

"Thank you, remember to drink some too."

Kara responded to each of them, her voice not loud, and the crew members' eyes lit up when they looked at her, just like at a fan meeting.

Leo walked ahead, ignoring the lively cheers from behind.

His mind was filled with the hallucinations he had experienced, but he couldn't understand what they meant.
