Warhammer: Primarch's Life from the Beginning
Chapter 44 Board Jump
Subspace, Imperial Will.
They are not angels, but fear, blood, and end; they are fearless.
The ship's hull had begun to partially disintegrate, and flashes of light from the explosion were emanating from its interior. In the warp's vision, the dazzling bubble membrane known as the Geller Field was starting to rupture and leak air.
The Ultramarines have abandoned the civilization they once prided themselves on. In order to survive, they are now barbarians, forced to become hunters of monsters, fighting bloody battles amidst the anomalies of the Warp.
Casualties were escalating rapidly; soldiers' chests were ripped out, limbs flew through the air, and sword blades fell and were submerged in pools of blood.
77 minutes and 7 seconds later, the evolution of that Nurgle creation was nearing completion. It flapped its insect wings, tearing and slashing through the crowd, spreading corruption. It seemed to be engrossed in the corruption of its surroundings. As it devoured more and more fallen warriors, bursts of maniacal laughter emanated from the monster's body, and the face of the company champion was now hanging on its torso.
Its long tail transformed into a whip, the end of which was wrapped around an Ultra Warrior who was desperately struggling and slashing at the tail. The explosive gun struck the beast's tough skin, sparking a burst of fire.
Sicarius dodged the monster's frenzied attacks one after another, his longsword piercing the beast's body, slicing through its flesh and blood, and leaping away before the flapping of its wings could land.
He knew that any heavy blow would kill him and allow him to be devoured by the monster.
"You can't scare me!" Sicarius shouted, his fighting spirit soaring, even if this was his last battle, even if it was meaningless.
He looked at the blue armor fragments scattered across the ground.
No.
It was not meaningless; he fought for the people of the empire, and he faced this horror to protect his crew.
It's not just him, they're all like that, and that's enough.
"I know who you are! I'll be the toughest nut to crack for you!"
The ceiling and walls were permeated with a green, moss-like substance; the steel had already softened; and the floor had begun to shake, threatening to collapse and fall to the next floor at any moment.
The demon's cheeks were dripping with slime, and it opened its mouth to speak for the first time.
"Hahaha...I am despair...I am decay..."
The steel bars beneath his feet finally gave way, and Sicarius rolled over, falling into the engine area below along with the corpses of his comrades and the laughter of the monster.
.
.
The sign of the Holy Commandment.
The Imperial Navy, battle nuns, state priests, and many other armed forces were busy on the ships, checking weapons and preparing for battle at any time.
This place was also harassed by monsters in the storm, but the powerful firepower and sturdy shields of the Holy Commander kept most of the enemies away, while the occasional stray demons were smashed by the iron fists of the Empire on the deck.
Leo sat upright in the bridge command seat, his expression focused on maintaining the psionic connection.
Having learned his lesson from the last time, he imbued the new navigator with his psionic energy, enveloping the navigator in a shield of light that made him impervious to all poisons.
The ships had never moved so efficiently, overcoming obstacle after obstacle and moving forward at full speed.
Captain Catherine's injuries had almost healed under the Primarch's care, and she stood ramrod straight with her boots together.
"It has been confirmed that the warship Your Highness sensed not long ago is called the Imperial Will, and it belongs to the flagship of the Second Company of the Ultramarines Chapter."
Leo's eyes were fixed on the holographic projection not far away; the ship had entered the detection range of the Holy Commandment.
If I remember correctly, the company commander of the 2nd Company during this period was named Sicarius, right? I met him on my way to Terra with Guilliman.
How did he end up here?
In any case, such a hero cannot die in such a place. He looked at the detection report handed to him by Catherine. All signs indicated that the Imperial Will was on the verge of sinking.
"We won't stand idly by; prepare to board." Leo stood up from the command seat. Based on the ship's speed, they were about to enter the safe boarding zone. "Kara?"
Beside the throne, a battle nun clad in elite power armor stepped forward. "The entire Sisters of the Martyrs Order is ready and awaits the Primarch's command."
Since the events on Exile ended, her fanaticism for the God-Emperor and the Primarch has intensified. Sometimes, when speaking to her subordinates, she openly refers to the Primarch as the Pope of the State Church, to which Leo turns a blind eye.
The Holy Commandment finally entered the safe zone of the Imperial Will, and her macro cannons immediately opened fire on a Chaos battlecruiser that was lingering nearby.
Several shells immediately pierced the enemy ship's shields, and a violent explosion erupted at the bow of the cruiser.
Catherine noticed the Primarch's impatient expression. "Your Highness need not worry, these ships pose no threat to us."
She then ordered the release of unmanned wingmen, several streaks of blue flame that struck the enemy ship's void shield a few seconds later, temporarily disabling it.
Immediately afterwards, the Holy Commandment's spear of light was already fully charged.
boom--!!
A pure white, scorching beam of light tore through the subspace storm, striking the enemy ship's hull. The thick armor melted like a candle, the beam piercing through both sides, and the entire warship exploded into pieces amidst a deafening roar.
Although the observation window was covered by a partition, Kara could still imagine the scene of the explosion, which made her very happy.
"Your Highness." She held Leo's helmet in both hands, approaching him and gently wiping away a few specks of dust with her fingers. "Our friendly ships are about to collapse. What do you think they encountered?"
"The filth of the warp is nothing to be afraid of." Leo took the helmet, fastened it, and picked up the Divine Punishment Sword next to the throne, attaching it to his waist.
He will represent the Emperor and unleash his fury upon those enemies of the Empire, whatever exists there will be doomed.
Leo stretched his back, and the mechanical spirit of the Radiant Power Armor responded with a buzzing sound. He noticed that Catherine was standing next to him, watching him, as if she was worried about his actions of personally leading the team to board the enemy in the warp.
"There are likely survivors on the Imperial Will. Be prepared to receive the wounded." As he spoke, the combat nuns on the bridge had already assembled. Leo's tone was as calm as possible. "There's no need to worry about the Primarch."
His cloak, billowing behind his power armor, fluttered as he moved, and he left the bridge surrounded by nuns.
"Set off."
.
.
The Imperial Will had so many vulnerabilities and the enemy attacked so quickly that it was impossible to defend effectively.
The deadly virus spread along the plastic-steel deck, and hordes of warriors, wizards, and fallen mortals escaped from the crashed cruiser and flooded the ship.
The traitors followed closely behind, these Chaos Space Marines, their armor etched with the marks of the warp, these ancient soldiers still preoccupied with their Great Crusade, venting their fury on their enemies.
Moreover, they were by no means easy to deal with; various parts of the ships were quickly captured and occupied.
The surviving Ultramarines resisted the whispers of the Sea of Souls, moving between fortresses and holding their positions for as long as possible.
The surviving Tech-Soldiers risked their lives, doing everything they could to repair the Warp Engine. The Primal Forged stood shoulder to shoulder to help them hold off the enemy. They had nowhere to retreat; they had to either hold their ground or die fighting.
As the foul blood splattered from various incomprehensible monsters mingled with human blood, shouts echoed all around.
"For the Empire!!!"
"For the Primarch!"
