Warhammer: Primarch's Life from the Beginning
Chapter 48 waaaagh! !
Warning star.
They don't fight for victory; war is their language. Wherever the green tide goes, civilization degenerates into ruins of iron and fire. WAAAGH!
A vast, dusty wasteland.
A fierce wind swept past, carrying deadly dust with an extremely high salt content, enough to cause anyone who dared to cross the area without proper protective measures to die of dehydration in a short time.
Chemical waste from the factory can be seen everywhere, but occasionally you can catch a glimpse of a few wild beasts that have adapted to the environment of the Vigilant Star slowly migrating.
However, this difficulty did not hinder the Orcs' progress in the slightest.
Orcs are fungal creatures that obtain nutrients through photosynthesis. Wherever their spores are scattered, a bunch of green-skinned creatures will crawl out after a while. They are natural invaders.
A small, green-skinned leader, his clothes tattered, looked up at his companion on the rock in front of him.
"Hey kid! What fun did you see climbing all that way?!" it yelled upwards, "Tell me before I swallow you whole!"
"Yes, Lord!" The smaller orc clumsily clung to the rock protrusion. "I can see a little now."
The orc below waited for ages, then realized this was the sentry's entire report. Enraged, it grabbed a rock and threw it up, yelling, "Are you kidding me?"
The orc chieftain sighed. This was already the best lad under his command, but it was still a fool.
"Sorry, boss," the kid said, "that garbage dump where those human shrimps live is covered by such a huge blue dome, we can't get in, and we can't find anything fun there..."
.
.
The training grounds inside the Holy Commandment had been converted into a simple rest area, where the group of blue-armored extreme warriors gathered. Since arriving on this ship, their injuries had healed remarkably quickly.
boom! !
The breastplate fell to the ground with a loud thud, and the Ultramariner technical sergeant next to him frowned deeply.
"Dude, have you even ever properly disassembled your own armor?!"
The Holy Commandment did not provide the Space Marines with adequate supplies; she hadn't considered this when she was repairing and modifying Terra. So these unfortunate people had to repair their damaged armor themselves.
Fortunately, all the key parts were in stock and were transported here by the nuns.
Therefore, some less skilled warriors often accidentally drop parts of their power armor on the ground when handling it.
"Have you never modified your armor before?" The technical sergeant next to him helped the soldier sitting in front of him disassemble one side of the breastplate and tested a few automatic joints.
"Sorry, bro, I was always so busy before that I didn't have time to check what I was wearing."
Several mechanical arms extended from behind the sergeant, humming as they picked up parts from the ground. "Fortunately, we don't lack electricity now, so these little guys can finally move around."
On a training platform not far away, two extreme warriors, one tall and one short, were selecting gladiator weapons.
"Do you think His Highness Leo would welcome us?" The taller one was a Forged Limit Warrior. He looked at the longsword in his hand, which was obviously a size smaller than his own. It was originally a training weapon provided to the combat nuns.
The old warrior in front of him, holding a spear, walked into Yuan Zhu's line of sight. "He saved us, otherwise why would we still be here?"
"Why doesn't he have his own warriors?" Yuan Zhu glanced at the nun's armor hanging on the wall. "Warriors like us."
"I heard that after his birth, he commanded the defense against the demon invasion of Terra." The old warrior found a larger two-handed sword and handed it to Yuanzhu. "After that, he met with the Emperor along with Lord Guilliman, and then set off for here."
"How long does it take to train and modify Astartes?" he said with a laugh. "He received divine revelation from the Emperor; he doesn't have time to prepare a warband."
"Perhaps we can become role models for future new soldiers?"
"Some people condemn this arrogance."
"Would you like to teach me a lesson, senior?" Yuan Zhu assumed a fighting stance, his longsword half-gripped, the blade resting on his forearm held horizontally in front of him.
The old soldier gave a simple salute, "Of course." Then he thrust his spear forward.
.
.
Bridge.
Leo raised his hand and pointed to the model on the holographic projection table, the Nest City with its shield flashing.
"Prepare the shuttle, find a safe landing spot, and we'll land in this area." He turned to Catherine. "Contact the planetary governor and request a contingent of Astragalus troops to come here and be under my command."
He remembered that the initial trigger for the Great Melee on Vigilant Star was that the shield of a certain city malfunctioned because it was too close to the Great Rift, which led to the invasion by the Orcs.
The outbreak of the beast war was the prelude to the Battle of Vigilant Planet.
"Not going to the main port?" Sicarius asked. The scan of the Holy Commandment showed that a large number of green-skinned orcs were active in the area Leo was referring to, but it didn't seem worth the trouble for someone of Leo's status.
He guessed that the Primarch before him might have a warlike nature.
"If the shields here fail, this place will quickly turn into a massive battlefield." Leo put on his helmet, turned and left, the warriors beside him following in silence. "The defenses on the surface of Vigilant Star aren't as good as you think."
The Holy Commandment slowly adjusted its course and glided into the near-Earth orbit of the warning star.
The wreckage of orc warships still drifted in the surrounding space. These vehicles of the alien race were more like moving junkyards than warships. They had no uniform standards and were pieced together from various scrap machinery, junk, and unidentifiable parts. Even so, after being bombarded and defeated by the Imperial Navy, these warships did not disintegrate too badly.
Imperial Will, you died unjustly.
A cube-shaped Imperial transport ship, spewing flames downwards to cushion the gravity, landed on the wasteland on the edge of the hive city.
The landing hatch slowly opened.
Hot air carrying sand rushed into the ship's interior, and even after being filtered by the power armor, the pungent chemical smell was still noticeable.
It was midday, and the sunlight was extremely bright.
All that could be seen was gray-white land and black mountains in the distance.
No, it's not a mountain range, it's definitely a nest city...
Leo stepped down first, followed by Sicarius, Kara's guard, and a group of Ultra Warriors, all of whom were wearing the necessary protective equipment.
In the far-off wilderness, dozens of orc-modified "speed monster" vehicles are racing wildly, making it seem like you've stumbled upon the filming location of Mad Max.
"Wow, so waaagh right off the bat." Leo raised his hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight. Kara's eyesight wasn't as abnormal as the Primarch's, and she looked at Leo in confusion.
"There's a group of orcs in the distance, driving towards us," Leo said. The Ultramarines and Battle Sisters around him immediately spread out and formed a formation to meet the charge.
"They've discovered the energy shield is malfunctioning?" Sicarius reached into his blue cloak, drew his power sword, and twirled it.
"Not yet." Leo said intently. "They're just here to kill us, nothing more."
"I reckon they don't even know what an energy shield is. As long as we take care of this batch, the orcs elsewhere won't notice anything unusual about this hive for a while."
On the desert, they drove their own super cool war vehicles, trailing long plumes of black smoke, at high speed toward the Imperial transport ships.
The orc leader saw a group of canned shrimp and a big guy, and suddenly felt that this trip had not been in vain.
So it pondered how to tell the good lads around it this good news, and it said:
"Waaaaaaagh!!!"
