Warhammer: Primarch's Life from the Beginning

Chapter 61 Cleaning Up the Aliens

As Leo and Kara walked out of the abandoned warehouse building in Greythroat, the morning light of Saint Harbor was filtering through the steel gaps on the upper level of the Nest City.

No one noticed the two blood-stained figures walking out of the building. Even if someone did see them, they would immediately lower their heads and pretend they hadn't seen anything.

Kara's high-heeled boots still had the slime from the underground nest on them. She took a few steps, each step making a slight sticky sound.

We walked for a while.

The Grey Throat Corridor was bustling with activity again; vendors opened their metal doors, and steam billowed from makeshift boilers. It looked much the same as before; perhaps the damage underground wasn't enough to affect the buildings above ground.

When they returned to the Eagle Council Palace, Sicarius was already waiting in the command room.

The Ultramarines platoon leader didn't press further. He simply handed over the latest hive defense report, his expression even more serious than before.

Leo took the data panel and glanced at the infiltration assessment of the hive city. Most of the area was marked in red, and many areas were marked with notes about missing Imperial citizens or suspected underground activities.

"Yeah, Kara and I killed a Tyrannosaurus Beast in the Saint's Port underground last night." Leo looked at the information on the data panel. "The alien nest beneath our feet has obviously become very vulnerable since then."

Upon hearing this, Sicarius immediately understood what it meant. "Can we use this?"

"That's right."

Leo reached out and swiped his hand across the holographic map of the Vigilant Star.

Below each main nest, there may be similar nest structures.

Every time a node is removed, the gene-stealing network loses an eye and a hand.

Leo didn't give anyone time to argue.

The first order was issued swiftly.

The Sisters of the Martyrs dispatched messengers to the State Church branches in each hive city to convey the full contents of the cleanup order. The Astronauts stationed in each hive city went on high alert, cooperating with the combat nun units to seal off the marked underground entrances.

The second order was given to Sicarius.

The existing Ultramarines were divided into two assault teams, which, according to the scale of the investigation, carried out decapitation strikes against the alien leaders in different areas in turn. Some areas required Astartes' assault capabilities.

Sicarius accepted the mission without hesitation. He turned and summoned the Ultramarines officer beside him, quietly assigning squad members, ammunition rations, and departure routes. Although they had only recently survived the warp catastrophe, once the order was given, they became loyal and fearless Space Marines once again.

The third command was directed at Huangquan No. 8.

The Guardians of the Church must cooperate in clearing the underground areas of the Hongbei District, and the Mechanic Church must share its underground exploration data, explaining which old mining tunnels may have been converted into nests by Genestealers. If they are unwilling to send troops, they must at least hand over relevant geological data.

The fourth order was given to the state religion of the Vigilant Star.

Purification stations were set up in all cleared areas to conduct genetic scanning and quarantine on civilians evacuated from underground. Any individual carrying the genetic markers of a gene stealer was immediately isolated or executed.

Leo looked at Kara one last time.

She immediately accepted the order and left the Eagle Council with several nuns. She was to convey the Primarch's command to the leaders of the various hives, so that they would understand that this was their duty to the Emperor.

.

.

The orders spread like stones thrown into water, reaching every city along the lines of the State Religion, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Justice, and the military.

In some areas, the combat nun squads have sealed off the main shaft entrances to the lower levels of the hive and begun organizing searches of the old mining areas. They are equipped with additional flamethrowers approved by Leo beforehand, since insects are afraid of fire.

The commander of the Astral Army reported that the garrison forces had entered various war zones on the map, but the underground tunnel network was complex, and requested support from the Ultramarines.

Sicarius confirmed that the assault team would depart that day. Several Ultramarines had already completed weapons checks near the training grounds.

In the Hongbei District, the Sage of the Mechanical Cult did not directly respond to the cleaning order.

They sent us encrypted geological exploration data, clearly marking cavities, old mine shafts, and tunnel networks beneath the rock strata in the northern hemisphere of the Vigilant Star.

The situation in some nesting areas is very serious.

That's where the gene stealers have infiltrated for the longest time and over the widest area, requiring more manpower to clean up.

That's normal; after all, an alien infiltration of this scale can't be cleaned up in a day.

That night, the entire planet's action report was placed on Leo's desk.

The Otek Nest's incineration forces discovered two vesicle hatching sites in the old mining area and destroyed them entirely. They encountered resistance from a small number of pureblood gene stealers, which they eliminated, but their own forces suffered heavy casualties.

The Ultramarines assault team has arrived in the Eastern Toria hive and is advancing towards the bottom of the hive city. They encountered a medium-sized Xenomorph horde, and Sicarius personally led the breakthrough; casualties are still being tallied.

In the Hongbei District, the Mechanized Guardians, under Leo's command, delivered the complete geological data. Leo then handed this data over to the nearest combat nun squad, ordering them to enter the Hongbei District's underground for exploration at dawn the following day.

Leo stood in front of the holographic map, watching as the red markers gradually turned yellow.

This means that these high-risk areas have entered a state of observation.

At the very least, it can ensure that the aliens' momentum has been temporarily contained.

But on this planet, it is already part of the victory for now.

Somewhere on the warning star.

Deep within the lair, the enormous body slowly moved, its four arms supporting its torso.

Many gene-stealer followers have disconnected during this period.

Moreover, today, its psionic network has large gaps.

Then the blank space began to expand.

A node disappears.

Another node has fallen silent.

Different regions of this planet broke free from the influence of their kind, and their offspring lost the guidance of their lair lords, causing cracks to appear in the once-cohesive network.

Heavy breathing could be heard in the darkness.

The revered ancestral dragon is pondering.

For a long time, these Imperials simply hid behind their shields, clearing out the surface lairs and executing those exposed individuals; the losses were negligible.

However, since the arrival of that imperial heir, the Vigilant Star has undergone significant changes, and he is gradually losing control of the situation.

It can no longer stand idly by.

Having withdrawn its psionic tentacles from the global arena, it should make a slight move to test the Imperial government.

But now is still not the time; there's no need to rush to ascend.

In the darkness, the pale purple iris narrowed slightly.

A command was issued through the psionic network. Deep within the lair, a member of a previously undetected faction received the signal.

A large-scale attack is not needed.

There is no need to expose the core nest.

All they need to do is kindly disable the shields of some hive cities, let those brainless greenskins break in, and they can just stand by and watch.

The consciousness of the First Dragon sank back into darkness...
