I am the Demon King of the Dungeon!

Chapter 79: Super-Tier Magic

The two walked through the corridor, went down half a flight of stairs, and turned into the combat group's supply depot, which was being built in the west annex.

Inside the supply depot, all four walls were lined with floor-to-ceiling iron and wood shelves, piled high with weapons wrapped in tarpaulins, potions in iron boxes, and neatly stacked enchanted scrolls.

The air was filled with a cold, rusty smell mixed with the dry scent of herbs. In the corner sat an old, dusty crossbow, probably a spoil of war from some expedition.

"We're here!" Milo pushed open the iron door of the supply depot, spread his arms, and made an exaggerated gesture towards the wall full of equipment. "Welcome to the Vast Expanse Squad's private treasure trove! In the entire Dawn of Light, apart from the Oracle Squad, our inventory is the largest. After all, Captain Kahn didn't take any equipment and gave it all to us."

He ran to the weapon rack, laboriously took down a longsword from the top shelf, and handed it to Arthas. The blade was a hand's length longer than an ordinary longsword, and the hilt was decorated with outstretched feathers. The blade gleamed with a faint golden halo in the morning light.

"The Holy Silver Longsword, Epic grade, has an extra bonus against undead monsters." Milo lowered his voice and said in a tone of sharing a secret, "We got this sword in Blackrock Depths. The captain said that as long as a newcomer can wield it, he can use it."

Arthas took the sword and weighed it in his hand. It was much heavier than the iron sword he usually used, but to the progenitor dragon god, this weight was no different from a toothpick.

He casually swung his sword twice, the sound of the blade cutting through the air was clean and crisp, and the holy light of the sword left a very faint arc afterimage as it was swung, before dissipating into the air.

【Holy Silver Longsword】

Rarity: Rare

[Equipment Effect: When dealing damage to undead monsters, inflicts an additional 25% holy damage. For each undead monster killed, the sword accumulates holy silver charge, stacking up to five times, with each stack increasing holy damage by 1%.]

【Set Bonus: Holy Silver Protection】

[Two items: Reduces all damage dealt by undead monsters by 15%.]

"And this!" Milo pulled out a neatly folded silver-gray chainmail from the armor rack. The chainmail was lined with dark blue soft leather, and the shoulder and chest plates were engraved with fine protective runes. "Holy Silver Chainmail, also epic grade, and it's part of the same set as your sword. Wearing it provides extra damage reduction against attacks from undead monsters."

He tilted his head to look at Arthas's fire dragon scale leather armor, then at the chainmail in his hand, a hint of uncertainty flashing in his expression. "The one you're wearing now looks pretty good too, but against the undead..."

Arthas removed his dragon scale armor and put on the chainmail. The chainmail was heavier, but it fit him well, with the plates covering his joints without hindering his movement.

He then put the leather armor back over the chainmail. The dragon scales didn't take up much space, and layering them actually provided an extra layer of protection.

【Holy Silver Chainmail】

Rarity: Rare

[Equipment Effect: Reduces shadow damage taken from undead monsters by 20%. If the wearer also equips the Holy Silver Longsword, the Holy Silver Charge stack limit is increased to ten.]

【Set Bonus: Holy Silver Protection】

[Two items: Reduces all damage dealt by undead monsters by 15%.]

Milo stared wide-eyed: "This two-piece style is quite novel. Groom tried on this chainmail last time and said it was too tight in the chest area and he couldn't breathe, but it fits you perfectly. Are your shoulders narrower than his or something?"

"I'm rather thin."

Arthas hung the holy silver longsword at his waist and stretched his shoulders slightly. The weight of the two armors combined felt as light as an extra layer of cloth to him.

I need to go out for a bit.

"Huh? Where are we going?"

"Buy some supplies and be back before 8 p.m."

Before Milo could ask any further questions, Arthas had already left the supply depot, still preoccupied with the news of the northern war he had heard that morning.

Go down the stairs, pass through the lobby on the first floor, and push open the side door of the Dawn of Light headquarters.

The streets of Holy Radiance City were fully awake. The fountain in the central square splashed out a fine mist in the morning light, and several adventurers were squatting in front of the notice board copying down today's missions.

He turned into a deserted, narrow alley, raised his hand and drew a circle in front of him. A white light silently shone, illuminating the puddles in the alley.

next second.

Arthas disappeared into the alley, leaving only the puddles on the ground shimmering slightly, reflecting the sliver of gray sky above.

……

The North, Cold Iron Fortress.

As Arthas stepped out of the teleportation portal, his boots crunched through thick snow. He stood on a low ridge north of Cold Ironforge, the biting wind whipping at him with tiny ice crystals.

The walls of Cold Iron Fortress appeared as a gray-black outline in the wind and snow, the torches on the walls swayed precariously in the wind, and the shadows of the defenders ran back and forth in the firelight.

Outside the city walls, in the direction of Ice Lake Town, countless campfires covered the entire ice field, like someone scattering red-hot coals on a white tablecloth.

Further away, in the location of the withered pine forest, the trolls' campfires were dark green, clearly distinct from the humans' orange-red campfires, yet both were slowly advancing towards Cold Iron Keep.

Arthas stood on the ridge, his senses spreading out in all directions like an invisible net, and he could sense that Raine was currently on the top floor of the North Tower.

Humph.

Are monsters colluding with humans?

This is not unusual in itself. Trolls have never been a race with backbone, and they have no bottom line. As long as they are paid enough, they are willing to risk their lives for anyone.

The problem is that this troll alliance is preparing to attack the country where Raine is located.

"Bloodclaw, Bonecrusher Clan." Arthas's senses spread like a tide toward the withered pine forest.

Two thousand seven hundred trolls.

Among them, there were about 1,500 Bloodclaw Clan members and about 1,200 Bonecutter Clan members. The highest-ranking member was a level 412 troll overseer who was currently squatting in the main tent gnawing on a roasted lamb leg, completely unaware that his life was about to end.

"Dare to cause trouble here?"

Arthas lowered his right hand, closed his eyes, and raised both arms, palms facing upwards.

A surge of magical energy emanated from beneath his feet, silently pulverizing the snow and causing the ground to tremble. The tremors grew faster and faster, as if something was drilling upwards from the depths of the earth's crust.

The Blood-Red Meteorite.

Super-level magic.

Its power is enough to flatten a city.

Arthas' eyes snapped open, his vertical pupils shining like two supernovae about to explode in the snowstorm.

"fall."

The next second, the sky cracked open.

A beam of emerald green light pierced through the clouds above the withered pine forest. The beam was hundreds of feet thick and pierced straight into the ground from outside the atmosphere, illuminating the entire night sky as if it were daytime.

The clouds swirled and tore apart around the beam of light, forming a slowly rotating crimson vortex.

At the center of the vortex, a meteorite fell.

Just one.

The meteorite made a loud noise as it rubbed against the air, followed by a series of explosions. Each explosion created a circular shockwave on the ground, blowing away the snow, trees, and frozen soil from the withered pine forest.

The meteorite crashed into the very center of the troll camp.

A burst of emerald green flames erupted, and the shockwave leveled everything within a radius of several hundred meters. The troll's tents, weapons, and corpses were vaporized in a fraction of a breath, before they could even scream.

The ground was smashed into a huge crater tens of meters deep, with smooth, mirror-like walls, because the soil and rocks were melted into glassy crystals at the moment of impact.

When the last wisp of green flame from the Crimson Blood Meteorite dissipated in the wind and snow, the withered pine forest was no more.

Instead, a giant circular crater hundreds of meters in diameter appeared, with churning lava at the bottom and emerald green flames illuminating the entire northern snowfield as if it were daytime.

Two thousand seven hundred trolls, along with their overseers, battle banners, and ambitions, were all reduced to ashes.

Arthas looked toward the direction of Cold Ironforge.

On the top floor of the North Tower, Ryan was leaning against the window, his mouth agape, big enough to fit a whole fist.
