Willy Wonka opened a spatial portal and brought Carol back to the White House. Thinking of this, Willy Wonka felt a surge of joy; surely many people in the White House were waiting for Carol.
Hulk didn't let Banner take over his body; instead, Willy Wonka took him directly to the chocolate factory. He hadn't had enough fun and wanted to let loose a bit more—a wish any adult would grant.
When Carol arrived at the White House looking ashen-faced, she found a group of people waiting for her in silence. She received treatment comparable to Willy Wonka: a group of people waiting for her in silence.
"Carol! You're a real beast!"
Frank wasn't going to put up with her. As soon as Carol stepped out of the spatial passage, he immediately went up to her and slapped her to the ground.
This slap stunned Carol; five finger marks were clearly visible on her face, and the intense pain made her cry out in pain.
Since being infused with Kree blood and becoming a hybrid of human and Kree, Carol had never experienced such intense pain.
The burning sensation on her face brought not only physical pain, but also a humiliation on a matter of dignity. The latter, in particular, was completely unacceptable to Carol.
"And who are you? Oh... looks like Willy Wonka's accomplice, no wonder." Carol spat out a mouthful of blood and glanced at Frank sideways.
"Heh heh—thugs like you who obstruct peace will one day face the punishment of justice."
This arrogant attitude thoroughly enraged Frank. He laughed in fury, having already sentenced Carol to death in his heart. But he absolutely couldn't let her die so easily.
At that moment, Frank thought of a hundred ways for Carol to die, and he even couldn't wait to dig a hole next to Lip's grave and bury Carol alive!
"Carroll, you're right, Frank is indeed one of my accomplices."
"I originally wanted to kill you outright, but I've changed my mind. I want to see if you, this stinky, hard rock, can still maintain your double standards after you become an ordinary person."
"I will let you go. You don't need to worry about anyone killing you. My words still carry weight on Earth."
Willy Wonka stopped Frank and Tony from making a move, and spoke to Carol with a smile, but there was no warmth in his smile; his expression was as if he had discovered something amusing.
Carol felt a chill run down her spine as she looked at Willy Wonka's expression. She knew this man would never simply let her go, but what choice did she have now?
But even that was beyond Carole's ability to thank Willy Wonka and say, "I really didn't want to die."
So she remained silent, letting the blood flow from her mouth.
Everyone present was shrewd and capable. These generals and government officials may lack power, but that doesn't mean they're still naive after years of navigating the political arena.
Everyone present knew what Carroll was thinking based on his behavior. They refrained from laughing out loud because of Willy Wonka's presence and Carroll's awkward position, but they had already labeled Carroll in their hearts.
Tony, however, didn't share this psychological burden. He spoke almost immediately after Willy Wonka finished speaking: "Even in the business world, you know that if you find an opportunity to strike decisively, you should never hold back. Otherwise, you never know when the tables will turn."
"Willy Wonka, when did your heart become so soft?"
Tony also voiced what Frank was thinking, but because of his position, he could not openly question the patriarch of the Charlotte family in this setting.
However, Tony only questioned the matter and did not stop Willy Wonka from sending Carol away.
Only after the portal closed did Willy Wonka turn around and explain to Tony with a mischievous smile, "Tony, we've been relentlessly hunting Skrulls lately. You know, not every individual in a species can be tough; there will always be some spineless ones."
"As far as I know, Carole's parents have both passed away, but she has one close friend still alive. This is her best friend of her life."
Tony frowned, still somewhat confused. What was the connection between the two things?
Is it possible that Carole has a close friend still alive, so she has to be so kind as to fulfill their friendship? It can't be because she's afraid they'll regret not being able to see each other one last time!
"What if Carol goes back and finds that her best friend is still alive, and that her best friend's daughter has grown into a young woman?"
"And the mother and daughter treated her as before, and after living together so warmly, what would happen if she suddenly discovered that her best friends, the mother and daughter, were actually Skrulls in disguise?"
"Perhaps Carol would generously say that this is only right, after all, humans should give the Skrulls some space to eliminate potential conflicts. It's just that this time, what she's giving up is her own vital interests."
Willy Wonka's words stunned Tony and Frank; they hadn't expected Willy Wonka to be so ruthless and psychologically damaging.
Tony blinked. "Oh, Willy Wonka, that sounds really good."
"We just need to make preparations in advance, after all, we need to make arrangements for this mother and daughter who have a very close relationship with Carol."
Willy Wonka ignored Tony's words and continued emotionlessly, "Tony, there's no need for that. They've already been replaced by the Skrulls."
"Shortly after Carol left Earth, Maria Rambo was replaced by the Skrulls. And a year ago, her daughter Monica Rambo was also replaced."
"I discovered their relationship by following Carol's network of connections after S.H.I.E.L.D. disbanded."
"But by the time my men arrived, it was too late. Fortunately, these two Skrulls are spineless, so we can make good use of them."
Willy Wonka patted Frank on the shoulder at the same time: "Robert found out about this for me around the time you were setting up your new department and getting information from Alex."
Tony picked up a glass of whiskey, the ice cubes jingling in the glass, and downed the strong liquor in one gulp.
"What an unexpected ending, it's just a pity. Monica and Maria were quite innocent."
Willy Wonka did not let Carol escape his control. Just like the live broadcast of the battle, he would arrange for someone to keep an eye on Carol on the screen the whole time.
Carol is currently unable to detect that she was being monitored the entire time, and even if she did, what could she do? She already had no way out.
Now that the rebels' biggest trump card has been rendered useless, the next step is a complete purge.
Even relying solely on the power of family members, they could completely control America before sunset.
