Marvel: Wonka's Chocolate Factory
Chapter 95 I thought she was a saint, but she's just a hypocrite!
Tony and Frank, who was standing not far away, exchanged a glance, their eyes blazing with barely suppressed rage.
He initially thought it was none of his business. Because now that the dust had settled, Carol was definitely no match for Willy Wonka.
Tony had originally thought he could simply wait for the final victory in the White House, but now he knew that it was Carol and S.H.I.E.L.D. who made the decision to let these Skrulls into Earth.
He couldn't sit still any longer. The Skrulls, after attacking Obadiah, were now trying to harm Pepper. Tony had been attacked, both overtly and covertly, by this group of so-called Skrull refugees multiple times.
Now that he knew who the culprit was, he couldn't sit still any longer. But Frank's reaction was even more intense than Tony's; his fists clenched so tightly they cracked, and he wanted nothing more than to rush to the scene and kill Carol.
The pain of losing a child is not easily forgotten, especially for a parent outliving their child. Frank still thinks of Lip from time to time, of his eldest son who died tragically at the hands of the Skrulls.
But Frank still retained some rationality. He stopped Tony, who was already ready to leave, and said, "Mr. Willy Wonka has his own plans. We shouldn't act rashly and disrupt Mr. Willy Wonka's schedule."
Who is Tony? He's been arrogant since childhood, and he wouldn't give face to anyone in the past. But now is a crucial moment, and Willy Wonka is his savior.
So Tony held back, though his face was so gloomy it looked like he wanted to eat someone alive, showing none of the excitement he had when he was about to pop the champagne to celebrate.
Willy Wonka's smile faded until it disappeared. He had known before the coup that the senator who first proposed an extra tax on chocolate had long been replaced by the Skrulls.
In other words, in the fight against the Totland Corporation's chocolate and confectionery business, it wasn't just some humans driven by profit; these aliens were also involved, and they were even the ones who fired the first shot.
"Carol, haven't you ever considered that these Skrulls might clash with humans, or even have thoughts of replacing them?"
"They lurk in the shadows and pose a considerable threat to humanity. I have already discovered many cases of Skrulls taking over human identities."
Willy Wonka awaited Carol's reply, hoping that Carol would at least be somewhat normal.
No matter what, Earth is her home. She was human before she became a superhuman, so surely she would have moved her back to Earth a little more, right?
However, Carol still pushed the boundaries of Willy Wonka's understanding.
"Humanity only needs to give the Skrull refugees some living space, and the conflict will naturally be resolved," Carol said confidently.
Upon meeting Carol's eyes, Willy Wonka swallowed all his questions, feeling that talking to Carol was a complete waste of time.
After holding back for two seconds, Willy Wonka couldn't help himself and burst into laughter.
"Hahahahahahahahahaha!"
With exaggerated and somewhat dramatic laughter, Willy Wonka is freely venting his emotions.
He had wondered what contingency plan Carol had prepared, or if keeping the Skrull refugees on Earth would provide any additional advantage to her operations in space.
But Willy Wonka never expected this outcome. He could hardly believe it, but the facts were right in front of him, and suddenly he felt as if the wrinkles in his brain had been smoothed out.
Willy Wonka spoke with a cool, mocking tone: "I thought you were a saint, but you're just a hypocrite!"
After saying that, Willy Wonka did not hesitate at all and immediately attacked Carol.
Willy Wonka had spatially divided the entire battlefield, making Carol's location a separate space. This ensured that she could not escape.
Then this space began to compress, and at the same time, the phantom of a tree began to appear above this space, with the tree's roots deeply inserted into the space.
"Carol, according to your logic, how should we resolve the conflict between us?" Willy Wonka asked.
Carol was currently frantically trying to find a way out of the confined space and escape, and no longer had the energy to answer Willy Wonka's questions.
"If you just concede some benefits to me, our conflict will naturally resolve itself. But you seem a little unwilling right now!"
Willy Wonka compressed the space to a certain extent and then stopped, leaving Carol with a cubic space with sides of 300 meters.
However, the roots of the phantom chocolate fruit tree, which had penetrated deeply into this space, suddenly began to exert force, and the entire cube began to take on a light brown hue.
Carol was moving around in this space, occasionally releasing energy to try to attack, but she suddenly felt someone choking her, and a feeling of suffocation made her stop moving.
After the feeling of suffocation came weakness and powerlessness. The energy in the body was constantly disappearing, and at the same time, the body fell from the sky against its will, crashing heavily to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Willy Wonka, you've finally shown your true colors!"
Carol gritted her teeth; she was now completely trapped, utterly unable to escape Willy Wonka's control.
But Willy Wonka ignored her; all he wanted to do was drain Carol dry in front of everyone in the White House.
Although the energy contained in Carol's body is similar to that contained in the Space Stone, the two are different.
What Willy Wonka needs to do is to make the chocolate tree absorb and analyze this energy, and ultimately use it for his own benefit.
"Carol, it's just a little bit of profit. I'm not a bloodthirsty person; I just want to resolve this conflict with you."
"You just need to be patient for a little while, it will be over soon." Willy Wonka increased the speed at which he was drawing energy.
Carol was powerless to resist and could only be manipulated by Willy Wonka.
In just a few minutes, Carol was drained dry by Willy Wonka. All her energy, including all the differences in her body, was absorbed.
Everything she had acquired after birth was taken away by Willy Wonka.
"No!"
Carol felt a sense of despair; she didn't want to lose these things. Without power, how could she continue to maintain peace in the universe?
Even the trace of Kree blood that Carol carried was taken away by Willy Wonka.
She is now just an ordinary Earthling, a middle-aged woman approaching 50.
Carol weakly raised her arm toward Willy Wonka, but when she saw her own arm, she felt even more desperate.
Unlike her previous youthful and elastic skin, Carole's arms now have flabby muscles.
Willy Wonka walked up to Carol. "You see, it's very simple. Just give me a little benefit, and we'll have no conflict."
"However, there are still a few people you have conflicts with. I'll take you to see them. I won't interfere in your conflicts; you can resolve them yourselves."
Then, amidst Carol's despairing gaze, a spatial rift leading to the White House opened.
