Chen Yuan was speechless. It was one thing for a fake lecturer to be so convincing, but at least he could imitate the characters to some extent.

Where's your down vest? Where's your nail guard?

Can shouting "God Bless You" a few times represent the Empress Dowager?

Old Ma, who was standing to the side, clearly recognized the other person. He handed the imposter lecturer another drink and said with a smile:

"Old Ding, you film these things every day and even use the online name 'True Fatty Ding,' aren't you afraid of getting complaints from the lecturer?"

The fat man raised his head and sneered:

"My surname is Ding, and I'm fat, so why can't I use that name?"

After saying that, he continued to take pictures of the crowd queuing around him with his phone, and then said:

"The lecturer has been recruited; we'll film the things he can't film!"

"Yes, yes, yes!" Old Ma echoed, "We should show the superiority of our capitalist country! Even the homeless have food to eat!"

The two men laughed, then Old Ding turned off his phone camera and whispered:

"Is there anything wrong with your boxed lunch? There was something strange about the coffee I drank earlier?"

Old Ma frowned, leaned closer, and whispered:

"It's best not to drink too much instant coffee made with cold tap water."

Old Ding was startled. He quickly put down the half-finished cup of cold coffee and asked again:

"What about these boxed meals? I was thinking of coming here to save on a meal."

"The food is not a big problem! Although it's all near-expiry ingredients, it theoretically meets the standards for consumption. Otherwise, it would be no joke to be targeted by the food safety bureau."

Old Ding was relieved, then noticed Chen Yuan standing to the side, and asked with a smile:

"Is this young man a recent international student?"

Old Ma shook his head: "Xiao Chen is a local, so he's kind of my boss!"

A hint of envy flashed in Old Ding's eyes, but he said:

"Oh my! So you're a local big shot. I've known Old Ma for a while now, please take care of me in the future!"

Although he spoke politely, Old Ding seemed to have some other thoughts in his mind.

A flash of red light appeared above his head, and a panel popped up:

[Target: Ding Wei, age: 34. Self-media practitioner.]

[Recent criminal acts: appropriating livestream donations ostensibly intended to help the homeless, using the money for his own daily expenses.]

Since Lin Xiaoxiao, Chen Yuan had roughly understood where this unprovoked hostility came from, so he just smiled and didn't say anything.

While Lao Ma and Ding Wei were talking, more than half of the boxed meals in the small trailer had already been distributed.

The fact that Rongding Pavilion has been able to operate in Los Angeles for so many years shows it has some skill; at least the food tastes very much to the liking of the locals.

The weather in Los Angeles is nice today, so many homeless people who are still able to move around are out hunting.

Of course, these people aren't the most destitute; at least they still have a cell phone, so once they receive a message, they can immediately head to the hunting spot.

As for the homeless who don't even have a cell phone, most of them probably won't survive this winter.

Although the homeless people who come to eat are of all kinds, many of them are quite picky.

Some people don't eat beef, and some people think coffee is too cold.

But at least these people understood that free meals were hard-won, so the scene remained relatively peaceful.

However, when only half of the boxed meals remained in the trailer, a commotion suddenly broke out at the back of the crowd.

Suddenly, a group of men and women walked over, shouting slogans through a megaphone and holding up various signs.

The leader was a dark-skinned young man. He strode up to a homeless man who was squatting by the roadside eating and roared at him.

Several other men and women rushed to Chen Yuan and his group's stall, glaring angrily and muttering something under their breath.

Old Ma and Ding Wei looked at each other, then simultaneously asked Chen Yuan:

"What's going on? What are they doing?"

Chen Yuan frowned, looking at the red light before him, and whispered:

"They seem to be from some environmental organization, here to protest."

"Protest?" Old Ma's eyes widened. "We're keeping to ourselves, just giving them a free meal. What's there to protest?"

Chen Yuan shook his head helplessly and explained:

"They say that the food containers we use pollute the Earth's environment."

Then, the dark-skinned youth shouted through a megaphone:

"Resist white pollution! Foam lunch boxes are making Mother Earth weep!"

"Meat produced without humane slaughter is murder! The carbon emissions from your Chinese restaurants are practically a crime!"

"Stop poisoning vulnerable groups with junk food! Homeless people also have the right to enjoy organic vegetarian food!"

With the arrival of these young men and women, the scene quickly became chaotic.

A homeless man, holding a food container, tried to explain to the other person, but a woman rudely knocked the food container out of his hand.

"Why do you eat this filthy stuff? You are accomplices in murdering the Earth!"

As these people became increasingly agitated, the surrounding homeless people dispersed.

It's just a free meal. Although I'm hungry, there's no need to get into a conflict with these crazy people.

Although this group of environmentalists was small in number, they were more than a match for the surrounding homeless people combined.

A LAPD patrol car on the street corner didn't even have its ambient lighting on, and the two officers sat motionless inside, seemingly used to this kind of thing.

Ding Wei, who was standing to the side, was even more stunned. He had not been to America for long, and he had never seen such a scene before.

As a live streamer, he instinctively raised his phone, wanting to capture the scene before him.

But to everyone's surprise, the dark-skinned man swung the banner in his hand and smashed Ding Wei's phone away.

"You dirty illegal immigrants, you shouldn't stay here, go back to your hometowns!"

"My phone!"

This iPhone was Ding Wei's livelihood, so he quickly squatted down to pick it up.

Unexpectedly, four or five environmental youths took this opportunity to swarm Ding Wei and began punching and kicking him.

Old Ma was extremely anxious. He wanted to step forward to stop it, but he knew very well that if he went over, he would probably be beaten as well.

He turned to ask Chen Yuan for help, but suddenly realized that Chen Yuan had somehow run behind a large tree nearby.

Then Chen Yuan was seen holding a mobile phone and continuously filming the environmental youth beating Ding Wei.

"What time is it? You're still thinking about filming videos."

Old Ma muttered to himself, silently praying that Ding Wei was thick-skinned and could withstand a beating.

However, what Lao Ma didn't know was that Chen Yuan was holding Ding Wei's phone.

As soon as Ding Wei unlocked his phone, it was knocked away by the other party and rolled right to Chen Yuan's feet in the chaos.

Chen Yuan picked it up and saw that this guy not only streamed domestically, but also had quite a few fans on TT.

He immediately started Ding Wei's TT live stream, then hid behind a tree and pointed the camera at the chaotic crowd.

He did this not out of kindness to help Ding Wei gain more followers.

And it turns out that the dark-skinned young man who led the environmental organization was also an undocumented immigrant!

The red information panel above the other party's head clearly stated:

[Target: Juan, undocumented immigrant.]

[Recent criminal activity: The target is using a false identity as an "environmental organization leader" to submit fraudulent green card applications to the immigration authorities.]

Although Ding Wei wasn't exactly a good person either, he naturally wouldn't let it go so easily because these pseudo-environmentalists had interfered with Chen Yuan's work.

Then, Chen Yuan, mimicking Ding Wei's tone, whispered in the live stream:

"Guys, I was eating a free meal from Galeries Lafayette in Los Angeles, and a bunch of environmentalists came and caused trouble! They even beat up the homeless guy who was getting the food!"

Because Chen Yuan was far from the crowd, and Ding Wei's iPhone did not have a telephoto lens, the live stream was not very clear.

Therefore, the viewers in Ding Wei's live stream did not realize for a moment that the person being attacked was actually Ding Wei himself.

Most of those who follow Ding Wei on TT are local Chinese, and there are even quite a few homeless people.

When a homeless man was beaten, the live stream chat immediately became lively.

"Call 911 quickly! What if you kill someone?"

"What good was 9/11? Do you think we're still in China?"

"These environmentalists all have powerful backers, and the LAPD doesn't dare to touch them. All they do is bully us homeless people all day long."

"The world is going to the dogs; how did America become like this?"

At this point, Chen Yuan continued:

"Brothers, I just recognized him. The guy who led the beating is called Juan! He's always pretending to be an environmental activist online, but he doesn't even have a green card; he's a complete undocumented immigrant!"

"These guys are causing trouble right now at the east gate of MacArthur Park! Any locals in Los Angeles out there who can call ICE and say there are undocumented immigrants causing a violent disturbance? Let them taste the iron fist!"

"Also, call all the brothers in the neighborhood over! We can't let these fake environmentalists get too cocky!"
