The story of "Covering the Sky" begins with checking in with the Void Emperor's Blood

The Azure Emperor's Sacred Heart is something left by the Azure Emperor to future generations, and naturally, it contains corresponding arrangements.

Not only was the terrifying killing intent of an emperor specifically removed, but its effects were also adjusted accordingly.

Otherwise, given the normal effects of the Great Emperor's essence blood, even a single drop could likely kill a Great Sage, making it impossible for a group of minor cultivators who hadn't even reached the Dao Palace to utilize it.

Based on the original story, Chen Yu had good reason to suspect that this thing was also limited, and only people from the Azure Emperor's lineage could use it. Even if outsiders obtained it, they could not hold onto it, let alone use it.

This can be seen from the attitude of the Peacock King and others in the original work.

Secondly, in the original story, after Ye Fan exploited the Demon Emperor's Sacred Heart and caused it to escape, the Demon Emperor's Sacred Heart spontaneously flew back into Yan Ruyu's hands.

Clearly, this heart only recognizes the descendants of the Azure Emperor and does not acknowledge anyone else, just like the Imperial Weapon.

As for Ye Fan's ability to extract essence blood from the Demon Emperor's heart, that was entirely due to the fragments of the Immortal Ascension Cauldron.

If it weren't for the Immortal Ascension Cauldron fragment suppressing him in the Sea of Bitterness, with Ye Fan's cultivation level at the time, even if he were exhausted to death, he wouldn't be able to affect the Demon Emperor's Sacred Heart in the slightest.

If the Demon Emperor's Sacred Heart were truly so easily influenced, Yan Ruyu and the demon clan in the original story wouldn't have been so confident in transplanting it into Ye Fan's body.

Chen Yu even reasonably suspected that the ability to extract essence blood from the Sacred Heart was something only the Green Copper Block could do.

If it weren't for the fragments of the Immortal Ascension Cauldron, even if it were replaced with an Emperor-level weapon, it might not have achieved such a good effect.

The Azure Emperor and the Immortal Cauldron have a connection. Back when the Azure Emperor was the Azure Lotus Immortal Elixir, before he took human form from the Immortal Pool, he was rooted on the Green Copper Block, absorbing the immortal artifact's Daoist essence remaining on the Green Copper Block. Only then did he finally transcend and transform into a human.

With this cause and effect in place, the state that the Azure Emperor's heart exhibited when facing the fragments of the Immortal Ascension Cauldron was naturally extraordinary.

Otherwise, it would be very difficult to explain why the heart of a dignified Heavenly Emperor-level expert would be squeezed by a mere fragment of a celestial artifact.

Although it was just a heart, the state of the Immortal Ascension Cauldron was even worse. Not only was the deity gone, but there was also only a fragment inside. From any perspective, it should not have caused such an effect.

But now that it's Chen Yu's turn, things are becoming increasingly complicated.

Because he was neither a descendant of the Green Emperor nor did he possess the green copper block of the Ascension Cauldron.

It seems that the only way to extract essence blood from the Sacred Heart is to seek Yan Ruyu's help?

"However, it seems that this is possible."

Standing there, Chen Yu thought of something, and his heart stirred.

He looked down and saw the familiar Azure Emperor bloodline.

Previously, when he checked in with Yan Ruyu, he obtained the Azure Emperor's bloodline from her.

However, for Chen Yu, the Azure Emperor bloodline was a useless thing because the bloodline concentration was too low and the effect was far less than that of the Void Emperor bloodline in his body. Therefore, he did not pay attention to it and had been putting it aside.

But now, it seems that this Azure Emperor bloodline can be put to use again.

With a thought, he imbued himself with the bloodline of the Azure Emperor.

For his current physical constitution, the blessing of the Azure Emperor's bloodline had no effect on him.

Because his own origin was already powerful enough, the boost from the Azure Emperor's blood was already almost negligible.

But for the Azure Emperor's Sacred Heart, it was a different story.

After empowering the Azure Emperor's bloodline, Chen Yu could clearly feel that the aura emanating from the Azure Emperor's heart had changed.

Originally, the Azure Emperor's heart occupied his life spring, silently drawing divine power from it to strengthen himself, and ignoring Chen Yu's actions, maintaining a cold and aloof demeanor.

But after the Azure Emperor's blood was added, the situation changed.

No matter how diluted it may be, after being blessed with the blood of the Azure Emperor, Chen Yu is now undoubtedly a genuine descendant of the Azure Emperor.

However, the Azure Emperor's Holy Heart immediately displayed a different attitude towards the descendants of the Azure Emperor.

The previously uncontrollable Azure Emperor's Sacred Heart began to move, spontaneously catering to Chen Yu.

It started to move.

Seeing this, Chen Yu smiled.

Really useful.

Having the blood of the Azure Emperor, one has the right to legitimately use the Azure Emperor's heart.

The Azure Emperor's Sacred Heart no longer rejected him and began to spontaneously cater to him, making it much easier to operate than before.

The next step was to make the Azure Emperor spit out his essence blood.

The thought flashed through Chen Yu's mind, and he began to manipulate it.

Because of the thinness of the Azure Emperor's bloodline within him, his process of manipulating the Azure Emperor's Sacred Heart was not very smooth, but as long as he spent more energy, he could eventually achieve his goal.

Finally, at some point, the Azure Emperor's heart began to stir.

boom!

A deep, muffled sound emanated from the Demon Emperor's heart, as if it were the beating of a god's heart, its majesty overwhelming and its aura shaking the heavens.

With this sound, a drop of crimson blood, as red as ruby, was expelled from the Azure Emperor's heart and instantly merged into Chen Yu's entire body.

An amazing transformation began, and his entire body was being reborn.

The effects of the Azure Emperor's essence blood entering his body were truly astonishing, causing a look of surprise to appear on Chen Yu's face as he felt a complete change.

This effect is in no way inferior to the divine fruit of the ancient forbidden land; it is truly astonishing.

It took a long time for the Azure Emperor's essence blood to be completely consumed.

Chen Yu stood up and casually swung his fist.

A burst of divine light emanated from his fist, exuding an unstoppable aura.

After digesting the Demon Emperor's essence blood, his physique improved further, undergoing a completely new transformation.

"It really is good stuff."

Feeling the changes within himself, Chen Yu smiled.

In terms of effect, the Demon Emperor's essence blood did not directly increase his cultivation level, but rather subtly enhanced his potential, with most of the effects being absorbed into his body.

This was probably intentionally done by the Azure Emperor.

After all, his original intention in leaving behind the Sacred Heart was to cultivate future generations, not to force growth and produce a master overnight.

If he wanted to, with the extraordinary power of the Great Emperor's blood essence, he could easily create a Quasi-Emperor, but in doing so, his path to immortality would be severed, which would be meaningless to the Azure Emperor.

Only by directly strengthening the source and transforming most of the power into the body's potential can the best effect be achieved.

"It seems even the Azure Emperor's blood within me has increased..."

Sensing his own situation, Chen Yu seemed to be deep in thought.

He could sense that as the Demon Emperor's Sacred Heart was digested, the originally thin Azure Emperor bloodline within his body seemed to increase as well.

Similar to a bloodline atavism, the thin bloodline of the Azure Emperor began to grow stronger after receiving nourishment from the essence and blood of the Azure Emperor himself.

If this continues, one day, the Azure Emperor bloodline within him might surpass that of Yan Ruyu.
