Cyberpunk: I didn't cheat.

After Chapter 87, there was no way back.

After Chapter 87, there was no way back.

Jimmy Kurosaki, the famous creator of Mewtwo, has been confirmed dead.

Jimmy Kurosaki was attacked in Mewtwo's studio. When the trauma team arrived, he had already lost vital signs. This is the seventeenth Platinum member murder this month. The trauma company has not yet issued a direct response.

"Pshaw, these rich people have been getting killed like dogs lately too. I think this is what you call fair!"

Kim Yeon, disguised as Angel Bishop, sat silently at the food stall, waiting for her synthetic noodles to be served.

A bowl of spicy noodle soup was placed in front of her.

"What's wrong? Is something on your mind? Don't overthink it. At least you get paid in the NCPD, which is much better than what we do! Everyone's doing it, so just turn a blind eye and keep it quiet."

Jin Yan nodded without saying anything, and continued eating her noodles.

The stall owner then brought her another basket of mixed flour dumplings.

"You don't look too good. Here, have a basket of steamed dumplings. Thanks to you, my business wasn't completely ruined. My daughter messaged me a few days ago saying she's starting a new job! I heard it's at Zeta Technology!"

Kim Yeon was taken aback for a moment, then returned to normal.

After finishing her meal, she picked up the NCPD police cap that was placed to the side and put it on.

"Don't go to Zeta Technology, she won't survive there."

"Huh? Why?"

The stall owner was confused and wanted to ask more questions, but Jin Yan had already walked away.

After walking through two streets, Kim Yeon found a thug.

"I'm here to see Jimmy."

The thug sized her up, opened the door, and gave her a sidelong glance.

"Inside, on the second floor."

Kim Yeon walked into the narrow apartment building corridor and went up the stairs that were stained with an unknown liquid, where she saw two doormen.

"Jimmy is waiting for you, come in."

As if afraid that Kim Yeon would do something reckless, the two of them straightened the shotguns slung across their chests.

"Please sit down, officer. I've been waiting for you for ages!"

Jimmy has dark skin, and even with a translator, his speech still has an accent.

"Xiao An, I've read all your requirements. To be honest, it's not easy to find someone suitable."

Jimmy looked at Kim Yeon with a smile.

"I'll pay more, but don't go too far. If you won't do it, plenty of others will!"

After getting the answer he wanted, Jimmy's face broke into a big smile.

"That makes sense, but nobody in this area is faster than me! The person I found is an expert; he was just born at the wrong time, otherwise he would have been a part of blowing up the abandoned mountain tower back then!"

Bombing the abandoned tower?

Kim Yeon couldn't understand why Jimmy would bring up something from decades ago to praise his people.

What she didn't know was that every Santo Domingo resident had a blood feud with Arasaka, and every Santo Domingo family had a member who fell ill because of Arasaka's secret sewage discharge. Therefore, many Santo Domingos hated the Arasaka Corporation to the core.

"I need a driver, not a terrorist to blow up the tower!"

Jimmy's eyes flickered, but his smile remained unchanged.

"Of course, of course. Your driver is from the Bate family. He's an excellent driver; that's how they make a living as wanderers."

Kim Yeon nodded, gave Jimmy a money chip, and then spoke.

"Tomorrow, pick me up at the location I give you. The timing can't be off, or you won't be able to afford the consequences!"

"Of course. Now that we've finished talking, would you like to have a drink before you go?"

Kim Yeon ignored Jimmy and turned to leave Jimmy's apartment office.

As soon as Jin Yan left, Jimmy's smile vanished without a trace. He frowned and called out the bodyguard at the door.

"Who arranged this for that bitch?"

The bodyguard answered immediately.

"It's Vincent. What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"Tell Vincent to arrive on time, then send someone out of town to wait for this bitch!"

"Okay, sure!"

Just as the bodyguard was about to turn and leave, Jimmy called him back.

"Bring everyone along!"

The bodyguard didn't understand, but chose to respect it; he nodded and left the room.

Jimmy poured himself a glass of wine, and if you looked closely, you could see that his fingertips were trembling slightly.

He picked up his wine glass and lay down on his office chair, looking around at the old, peeling paint on the walls, the flickering, malfunctioning colored lights, and the faded graffiti on the album cover of the Samurai band.

"Damn it, in this world, you have to wait in line to be a bad guy, and being a good guy means you're either broke or dead!"

He downed the entire glass of wine in one gulp, as if he had made up his mind.

He wasn't simply trying to double-cross someone; he recognized that Angel Bishop was no longer the real person.

He and Angel grew up in the Santo Domingo neighborhood. Angel's younger brother had gotten into trouble in bed after drinking unfiltered water, and Angel always hated Arasaka.

They hung out together for a while, during which time Angel kept telling him about Johnny Silverhand blowing up the Aragaka Tower, and they listened to songs by the Samurai Band together.

As Jimmy grew older, he went to work as a mule for the mob, delivering stimulants, and lost contact with Angel.

Last year, he heard that Angel had become an NCPD and was quite considerate of his neighbors. He thought Angel was a good person and hadn't forgotten his roots.

He had also heard that Angel was not well-liked in the NCPD, that she was too stubborn. When Angel asked him for help finding a driver, he thought that Angel had been killed by an assassin hired by her colleagues in the NCPD, and that she had to flee Night City. After all, this kind of thing was more common than getting food poisoning.

But when they first met, Jimmy realized that Angel seemed unfamiliar with him. At first, he thought there was a sad, thick barrier between them, but then she said that the ones who bombed the ruined tower were terrorists, and the truth was revealed.

Jimmy barely suppressed the urge to draw his gun as he spoke to the woman dressed as Angel.

"I told you no one would care if you died! Damn it, you looked down on me for delivering goods for the Sixth Street Gang, I looked down on you for being a police dog in the NCPD, and now look what happens, I have to avenge you! #!"

Jimmy poured himself some more alcohol, and then simply chug the whole bottle down.

His eyes glistened with tears as he murmured to himself.

"You're a complete idiot, fucking idiot, and so am I!"

Jimmy didn't have many friends when he was young, and all his good friends are dead now. Angel is the last one. Although Jimmy doesn't know where the real Angel Bishop is, if someone with her face is going to run away, Angel is 99% likely to have died in some stinky ditch.

"You fucking look down on me? Do you think I want to? Damn it, the old man sucked himself dry, and I still have to carry their bags and deliver their goods every day. Do you think my heart is made of iron?"

After finishing his drink, he shouted for the bodyguards outside the door.

"Bring me the wine!"

The bodyguards had no idea what was wrong with Jimmy, so they quickly bought some alcohol and brought it up.

Jimmy grabbed a handful of money chips and threw them to the bodyguard.

"We've divided the spoils with the brothers. Once Vincent gets the people out, our life in Night City will be over!"
